I saw that story yesterday...the couple that did said they did it for themselves as kind of a silly thing.

When I stopped wearing my plain gold wedding band a few years ago, it seemed like months before the indentation was completely gone off my ring finger.  I'd been wearing it for 17 years.

I don't really know how they work so maybe anyone use them?
