The people I deal with in business are out in the oilfields and occasionally the board room. I don't have a wife or GF who is going to force me to socialize with her "friends". The very thought of me going to church is laughable, and the majority of non business time not spent with hooker and johns is still mainly in bars.

I think after taking an objective look at my life, I already do a very good job of avoiding polite company, except of course for the occasional ubersensitive douche bag that somehow finds his/her way onto this board like that douchebag HWC yesterday, in which case "toilet mouth" has home field advantage. In your case you might just consider "downgrading" where it comes to your non hobby friends.

In my case, I think it has.  All the trash-talking on various boards, including chatting up women about sex, has made me even more of a toilet mouth.
In fact, the few times I'm in so-called "polite company" I have to seriously edit what's about to come out of my mouth to avoid offending people.  There is clearly only one solution for this.  I need to start completely avoiding polite company.

I haven't noticed any change in the language I use in the mundane world, certainly no tendency towards more vulgar speech. In fact, there are certain expressions ("Jesus fuck!" "Jumpin' fuckin' Abraham!" for example) that used to punctuate moments of extreme frustration or anger that I haven't used in donkey ears.

The women I see most often are very articulate and tend to save the dirty words for the bedroom, and I guess I don't use as much foul language on the board as most. It is one thing for me to spit something out in heated conversation, but when it comes to typing out what I want to say, irregardless of how grumpy or excited I might be, using foul language would be forced. Yes, if the discussion is about fucking, I will type out the word "fuck" to express the act, and when talking, it might be "the wild thing" or something like that.

It depends on one's personality, I think. I see myself as a more sheltered, more provincial gentleman than how I suppose the general lowlife degenerates on this board are. And, of course, some use foul language for effect, so IRL they might be every bit as soft-spoken and courteous as myself.

Reading some  of your's, GaG's and the other guy who doesn't come here no more's posts...Also the lady who introduced me to "Fucktard" and "Hooktard"..Oh I miss her..    In the case of  guys who only have sex with hookers, hobby could be construed as a misleading description of their favorite obsession.

  For those of us who are up to the sometimes perilous  free rendezvous with civilian women,  hobby is an appropriate word for visits with women we pay admission for.
 
  I find the relationship between providers/escorts/hookers  and myself , to be an extremely easy hobby, when comparing  to some of the BSC  adventures I've had with civilian women .
