Two years ago I reached out to a provider via P 411 whom I thought I would be very interested in seeing for the first time . She referred me to another provider whom I had already seen multiple times and had great sessions with. Also, she mentioned that they were friends. Her friend whom I had already seen was out of town touring. When I mentioned the fact that her friend was out of town and asked about her availability she stated that she had no availability in my area despite having a posted TER ad announcing her availability. I simply wanted to see this new person for variety’s sake. I thought that this situation was a little bizarre.

Has this happened to anyone else where a provider does not want to see you because she is friends with a provider whom you have seen multiple times?  I would like to get both a hobbyist and provider perspective on this situation.

Could be "Professional Courtesy".....could be what you described....These Gal's----while seeming to be friends on the outside---generally are fierce competitors...Just like the people you run into at the annual convention of your business---!

she felt she'd be taking business away from her friend?

I refer my friends to all my friends. There is no competition & everyone here shares clients. Recycle ♻️

I have come across and have seen providers who are friends multiple times. I have had ones refer me to their friends, but it’s usually for one of three reasons. One reason is touring ladies. I saw a touring lady from Vegas in LA. She referred me to her LA friend because she’s not here often. The other was when I was traveling. A lady in NYC said she has a friend in LA. The last was the lady I wanted to book was out of town. With the last one though, it could have been her booker and wanted me to book someone else she did bookings for, so who knows with that one.

Same. Especially if I have met the other provider in person outside of the hobby or have done doubles with them, if I'm out of town [or even if I am in town]and they ask for a referral to see another provider I'm friends with, no doubt definitely go see her. I have shared clients before with other ladies that were in the hobby back in the day it just made it more fun.

There was a top rated lady I wanted to see. She was being a PITA on the screening. I noticed she had a review doing a duo so I contacted her duo partner. Jackpot. Wrote the new lady a strong review. Her first I think. I caught a  rising star. Had 6 months of great times with her before GPS set in. When I wrote the review the original lady was pissed off I saw the other lady and not her.  So I saw her and was disappointed.  The other lady went on to become ter top 5 in the US. Still the best I ever hsd

That they are in a relationship and have just broke up. I saw it happen when I asked one to give a reference to another one. It took a while for provider a to give reference to provider b.

First, I don't see the facts that led you to deduce that the reason A didn't see you was because of her friendship with B. Other than her purported availability (perhaps her dance card was actually full but just not updated on her tour calendar), what led you to conclude that the reason she didn't see you was because of the friendship with B? Did she say anything to suggest that?

Second, if this was 2 years ago, what has transpired since? Did you ever talk to either A or B again to get more information on what happened? Did you ever see B again, and if so, did she mention this?

I've had providers introduce me to other providers numerous times over the years (most often as a duo participant). I've also been made aware of professional and personal rivalries and jealousies, and of course the controlling behavior of some bookers. I have yet to encounter the situation you described.

There were two ladies I wanted to see that would advertise doubles and film OF content together. They were clearly dating as well. I inquired about booking a doubles date and was just told that wasn’t available any longer. A day or two later one of them was posting on twitter about breakups and being single.

It sounds like the other provider claimed unavailability during the same conversation that your friend came up in. If so, maybe she didn’t want to book without checking with your friend first?

Or did this exchange occur over several conversations? Maybe your friend told the other provider that she didn’t think you two would be compatible?

...have been due to the gals knowing each other.

Carmen, Felicia and Gaby in north la tag teamed me just recently and it was due to all of them knowing each other. I even got to pay for dinner for all of us at a taqueria they loved.

Great time.

Did you mention the earlier provider in your communications with the new provider?  Were you referred to the new provider by her friend?

I might think that the new provider was being respectful of her friend's "territory", but you don't mention how the new provider came to know that you'd seen her friend.  Are you assuming that they are comparing personal details of their clients?  "Hey, here are all identifying details of the guys I'd seen this week."

I recently had a couple of provider's friendship work to my advantage.  I have seen Provider A multiple times but resisted Provider B's policies requiring a deposit and requiring real life information.  However, Provider A booked a twosome for me with Provider B and a great time was had by all - or at least they acted that way!!!  ;-)   Anyway, I am now seeing Provider B occasionally without a deposit or RLI.  And I have not decreased the frequency of my Provider A visits.
