So you didn't reach out to your ATF to find out if this "friend" is a pro, ex-pro who is UTR, etc?
My ATF left town a few years ago, and I was combing through her pictures recently. She has an excellent pair of legs. Anyway, I contacted her and asked her if she had any friends in my current city who resembled her physically. She said she would check and eventually gave me a friend’s email. This friend does not have a website and does not have reviews. I contacted her via email and we had a nice back and forth and set up a date and time. There was no discussion of length of date or compensation. I asked her for pictures and she sent two selfies. She’s pretty and her body does seem to resemble my ATFs though hard to tell. Now it’s the day before the date, and I haven’t heard from her regarding rate/length of date. I feel the responsibility falls on her to let me know the rate at least. My thought now is to bring what I would have given my ATF for the date. Though I was grandfathered in and my rate with my ATF was cheaper than her new client rate. Anyway, this date could go an hour, could go three..I have no idea. If she’s not a pro, those dates can go all night. I had an SB where the date went all night (she was on a standard ppm fee but hadn’t planned to stay the night). Anyway, to the cognoscenti, what’s your recommendation here? What would you do?
Always in debt to your priceless advice,

it’s on the client to set the duration, or at least bring it up so it’s understood going into the session.
As for her rate, have you asked your ATF? If she doesn’t know, you might say something to her friend like, “I want to be sure I come prepared for our first meeting. Are there any other details I should know?” If she doesn't get the hint, you will have to flat out ask her for her rate. That shouldn’t be a problem for her as long as no services are discussed in emails.

Maybe this friend is assuming you have the info from your ATF. I agree that it's on you to mention the duration, however very often I have forgotten to specify this during appointment setup and some ladies will assume it's an hour - my impression is that is the most requested appointment length.
Another thing - incall? outcall? Maybe if she's UTR she doesn't do incalls?
I just realized that you posted this yesterday so today is date day. If you don't have this straightened out by now...
Let us know what happened. Inquiring minds want to know.
Because otherwise one of you is likely to be disappointed.
Having gone back and forth in emails, seems to me a simple solution is to put it to her just as easily as you put it to us, "how much time should I set aside when we see each other" or "I would like to see you at 8 pm for a two-hour date" or words to that effect. Even an afterthought email should suffice.
I don't agree with the plan to ask your former ATF. At this point, she's done enough third-party match making. Asking her will most likely require her to ask her friend, who may in turn wonder why you didn't merely ask her directly.
I did contact my ATF and she basically said… “ you set up a date without asking her her rate?!!” Anyway, I used Steve’s idea and sent the “ I’m preparing for the date, iAre there details I should know”. She took the hint.
Not the update I was looking for...details man, details!

Talk to your old ATF's friend about what her ppm cost is for shorter meets (And be specific as to the amount of time that you want her).
