The net is full of talk of another big shot politician who has kissed his career good bye on account of shorting some providers in the Dominican Republic out of the money he promised them.
I think some people forget that not all countries view prostitution as Americans view it. Many countries do not view it as the ultimate evil....they have unions, are organized, and they are viewed as self employed. We cannot go into a shoe store and walk out with a pair of shoes expecting to not be prosecuted.
We can't short or otherwise abuse a sex worker in countries where prostitution is legal...bc it's against the law.

law of the land or not. It is just cheap and unethical to short change anyone who provides you with service. Whether it is driving you to airport in a Taxi, serving you breakfast or sucking your dick...It really doesn't matter...
It is especially cheap in the light that these guys make $174,000 per year, and have millions in investments...
I doubt you will hear about it in the mainstream media due to the big D at the end of his name. If it had a R, we would have all heard about it.
Shortchanged a provider in a third world country? That is wrong on so many levels.
The only thing that would keep me from damning him to the deepest pits of hell would be if the provider was a backpage girl who was using Asa's foto and the old fuddy duddy senator had never heard of Tineye. Then I might cut him some slack.
But even still, you can't just shortchange a girl in the position the stately senator is in or requires (probably BBA - that's how he likes to give it to the 10% of us who pay taxes). Gotta keep the girls happy in that situation...no matter how backpaged she is.
during the Bill Clinton era. And Bill Clinton didn't short change anyone...And how about Elliot Spitzer. Ever heard of him?
Its really baseless accusation that the media would not cover it just because he is a Democrat. Media is biased. Yes.. I agree.. But media is not blind. They would never want to pass up the opportunity to make money.
The only reason, however, that you may not hear about it is because the presidential campaign and Sandy will overshadow it.
Politicians make a very good living, and because of their position of power they think they will get away with it. He most likely threatened her as well. Scum bag probably tries to negotiate cheaper prices with quality local providers.
...your breaking news is a hard-core Conservative website. Not so coincidentally, the politician in question is facing an election in five days.
No, the net in NOT "full of talk" as you claim. It was originally reported by one source and the pebble it dropped in the water has turned into a tidal wave by irresponsible posters like you who swallow it without thinking and spread it without examination.
The only thing you got right - "Stupid is as stupid does."
Instead, he was carrying on an affair with a woman who was not a US citizen, and failed to report that fact which he was by law obligated to do.
The tie in to the original scandal is apparently that one of the SS men knew of the affair the just deceased SS man was in, and asked why he got away with it when they were being called out for their (way, way worse, IMHO) behavior.
In any case, it's an example of how fucked up things can get when private consensual activity is demonized.
Apparently the news media has decided to pull the story. Perhaps their source was found to be someone doing a hatchet job on the pol in question as BP indicates.
But then, shouldn't that be a story in and of itself?
Something is rotten in Denmark here.
But, nevertheless, my point in posting this story in the first place was as a cautionary tale to all clients, and especially those of you who are in the public eye (And I suspect that is quite a few out there.), don't cheap out and try to do a gal out of a few $ when you can easily afford to pay the correct price.
All you do is get yourself caught in an ugly situation, and also put the rest of us in a very bad light.
