Male contraceptive tests positive-would you men use it?regular_smile

This is really only useful for people in long term relationships who aren't trying to conceive.  In the world of singles, I don't think any woman would ever trust this.  Even if STD's weren't an issue, since women are the ones who get pregnant, I don't think they would feel safe relying on a method of birth control that they couldn't control (or at least confirm).

I agree with "I don't think they would feel safe relying on a method of birth control that they couldn't control (or at least confirm)."  I wouldn't if I were XX instead of XY.

STD wise - I also still would insist on the "No Glove, No Love" philosophy with anyone I didn't know REALLY well and for a while.

That being said .... I'd still jump at the chance to share the responsibility.

It's a Karma thing

As a single man, I would welcome the idea of a male contraceptive.  Do you realize how many women don't bother with contraceptives, but lie to their partner and claim to be on the pill?  As far as I'm concerned, it helps my confidence knowing that I don't have to worry about the "suprise" souvenier nine months down the road.  This can keep a fellow from being trapped.

After reading this article though, I would not be interested in this product.  A contraceptive to keep you sterile, but prevents you from getting it up??  Too many hoops to jump through when you can simply throw on a condom.

I too got "fixed" years ago.  Best decision I ever made.  No 18 years of child support to deal with...no problems.  The procedure is a piece of cake...easier than paying a traffic ticket and I strongly recommend that as many, especially younger men, have that surgery performed.

Though I dislike piling the responsibility of birth control on women, I believe it is essential that they have control over it, since they wind up with the kid.

Also, too many men think with their little head only, as evidenced by some of the reviews. Its easy to concieve that a man may color the truth about taking his tablet or pill or whatever, in order to facilitate getting his "end" wet.

"Oh yea baby...don't worry you're protected"

Just my two cents worth......

BTW...no worries for me, been snipped since '87.

In general I'd use a pill (injection, etc.) that you give me the peace of mind that comes by knowing I wouldn't have unplanned children.  Condoms break, wives/SOs forget, etc. and I'd really like to know I'm in control of having or not having children.  Of course I'd still use condoms when protection against STDs was needed.  I would not use a product with serious side effects--including a reduced labido.
