Clients Who Carry Fire Arms

I rarely post on the General Discussion board but am really curious about this topic so wanted to share with a larger group. I think this topic deserves some healthy discussion around it.

Recently I saw someone who said he was a newbie to the scene. I gathered his personal information, verified it and made plans to get together at my Incall. He arrived on time, clean, neat and with a special gift for me. Everything seemed normal --- until he said he was carrying a gun on him and wanted to know if I had a place he could store it? Now this was a new one on me and have *never* in my 10 years plus of providing have I had anyone bring a weapon with them (at least not that I'm aware of). It made me uncomfortable but everything was in order, he was being polite (and honest) so I stored it in a bread box FAR away from where we'd be situating ourselves. He was completely paranoid and stared at me a lot. He pulled the shades and peeked out of them from time to time but all in all he was an easy client and things were fine. STILL - it struck me as odd that he wouldn't leave the fire arm in his car. If I lived in a seedy area I might understand the gun better but I live in a very secure building with a parking garage, cameras and special security access at practically every door. WHY would he need it past the point of the secured parking garage???

After he left I couldn't help but wonder if he might have had different intentions for the gun? Did he plan to use it to intimidate me in some way and then changed his mind when he saw all of the security and cameras around my place?? I gave the guy an OK on a client verification site but am wondering if I should reverse my OK on him?

Guys - do you carry a fire arm and would you (have you) ever brought it to a rendezvous with a provider? Girls - have you ever had a situation like this happen to you and how did you handle it? Opinions on changing my OK are welcome as well!!!

xo LL

I would have kindly asked him to go put that shit in the car, but I can see how that might not work if his intent was not good to begin with. UGH! Now I see why so many providers insist on meeting in a bar or cafe. I have one client who always carries a gun but I have known him for years. He rides a Harley so no way to keep it in there lol. HE never bothers me, but anyone else and especialy a newbie, would freak me the fk out! I would also make any references he may request aware of this. You don't have to trash him, but just say "head's up" he carries a gun.

Why didn't you ask him what his intentions were. I mean you went through the session, right? You could have just asked him... "Hey, John...Why are you carrying a firearm?. It is rather unusual to bring one to a fuck meet"

There is very little to gain from posting this after the fact, besides speculation.  You can still email him and ask for it in a friendly manner..

Also, what religion was he? Does he cling to his religion just like he clings to his gun..Now that's something to ponder... LOL :D

....however he didn't show up in "attorney looking" clothes so I wondered about that as well.

I'm sorry you feel my post has no purpose. I think it does.

a damn gun. I would not see him, because he is putting you at even more risk.

The only one who can give you any answers is the guy in question. All you can get here are asinine assumptions and wild ass guesses. You say he was acting "paranoid" and maybe he was, or maybe thats just your view because you were disturbed by the gun.

Look, I carry a firearm. No, I would never bring it into a room where I was meeting an escort. On the other hand, some people have been around firearms their whole lives and just don't realize it might make someone else uncomfortable (see ... I'm guessing). The fact he told you about it and gave it to you to put away somewhere, leads me to believe he was harmless and just made a poor decision.

BTW, I take off my "attorney looking" clothes as soon as I can ... it is Florida after all.

he has a conceal & carry license.  Many people that work in retail business that handle a lot of cash have one.  He may not want to leave the gun off his person or the permit may not allow him to.  The fact that he made you aware of it vs. just keeping it unknown is a little strange.  What would be the advantage of you knowing of this during your session?  If he didn't have a permit than nothing good could come from him having the gun.

All that said, I don't know what options you would have had once he brought it up.  Going through with the session was probaby your best play.  Good luck and be safe.

While i fervently am a believer of 2A rights and right to concealed carry.  I would elect NOT to carry into that hotel room.  I think the intimidation factor is much too strong.  Not to mention unsafe.   Assuming you disrobe during hobbying, you dont have direct control over that weapon anymore.  And as a provider, i would think the worst if a hobbyist was carrying into the encounter.  The fact that he notified you up front is commendable, but his behavior during the encounter was abnormal, as was your apprehension.  I try to see well reviewed providers so be assured of a fun experience but also to minimize any undue safety exposure on my part.  As a hobbyist if you have a gut feeling about a provider (and vice versa) it would probably wise to use "the other head" and cancel the encounter, as there are plenty of other hot fish in the sea.  Also, hopfully the rendezvous is occuring at a reputable hotel in a safe neighborhood.  Not to say crime cant occur but you do everything to put the odds in your favor.

I frequently will arrive 10-20 min early to an appointment and do a quick scout of the area before calling.  It may be paranoia to some but it gives me warm fuzzies.   A session is infinitely more enjoyable if doubts have been addressed and mnimized

I have a permit and carry concealed all the time.........but never to a date.
There's no reason to and no way to justify it. Keep it in the car or leave it at home.
He may have been nice, but he wasn't very bright......or thoughtful of you in the least.

A provider with her arms on fire?  Just sayin.

I live in a great area and have had nothing but fantastic clients..
and I know several who always carry....... In their car or on thier person or both..

Always trust your instincts........... #1 rule...

When you gave him an ok as a reference, please tell me that you mentioned me might have a gun on him! Not stating that is not a good decision. I would not have seen him. No way. Looking out the window and carrying a gun? Two big strikes against him. I would have politely asked him to leave. I am wondering if he does this all the time or a first time and you thought he may have had ill intentions for it when he saw you but you went through with it anyway? WOW!

Permit and I always have a gun with me. Well almost always. I would never bring my firearm inside a meeting. The angst it must have given the provider is uncalled for. You all know they have some twisted people out there, that idiot probably got off on making her nervous.

This is my rifle[Holding weapon], this is my gun [grabbing crotch].

This is for fighting [presenting weapon]; this is for fun [grabbing crotch].

can't use that chant in basic anymore... not politically correct....

I do carry concealed occasionally... but never at a renedevous....

Though he may have been a real client, he doesn't sound like a safe one to be around...

My guess, he is not a lawyer, or he is, but ihas recently been threatened by a client who's case he lost, or the victims family from a case he lost. Either way, bystanders do t need to be caught up in the wash. The telling behavior for me, isn't the gun, its the closing the blinds and looking out the window like he was followed.

If you think about it, it makes more sense.

The gal killed in Boston a few years ago might be alive today had she.

Just sayin'.

Fortunately there are so many naive pathetic guys here who wouldn't believe it if they knew the truth.

Maybe next time some will actually ask a hooker if she's packing.  And they'll still not believe it  LOL

They probably sell stun guns disguised as vibrators these days. I know there is a lipstick stun gun.

but I never ask. If I was a provider I'd sure be packing something.
firearm, taser, pepper spray, mace, ice pick...

And I think London said it. So true. For the ladies that said trust your instincts, yeah no. A gun/ weapon/ mace has no place in the bedroom. Period. How would you defend yourself? A guy can be cool until he is told no or doesn't like something you do. Then he might pop off. People come with baggage and you never know when that baggage will be turned on you to put you in a compromising position. Not something I would want to encounter.

As far as the "OK" that you gave him, I don't think that is fair to other ladies that may meet with him. If you screened him, and his employment matched with the info was given, then why would you be questioning it? Ok, so onto the date, it was the perfect opportunity to put him at ease and introduce him to the etiquette of the hobby. By "OK"ing him, other ladies may take your "OK" and meet with him and may not be as lucky if he isn't wrapped too tight. I wouldn't want that blood on my hands.

I probably would have told him I would be his reference but probably wouldn't have "OK" ed him and if he made me aware of his piece on him at the beginning, then he would have put it in the car bottom line or no appointment. You touched it, so it's your fingerprints on the weapon, now the helicopters are looking for your prints! Oh sorry too much Law and Order... LOL!

When I worked on the outside (of the brothel system) I had severeal clients who were off-duty cops and are required to carry a firearm on them.  None asked me if I had a place to store it and i find that question quite bizarre.   Usually they keep with their clothes.

many folks, including me, have concealed varry permits, but that does not mean i alway carry - just that i have the right to do so.  For a session, I always either leave at my home/office or leave in the car (but both hidden and unloaded and locked with a trigger lock.  Its strange he would ask you instead of just doing something like that.

locked in your trunk with a trigger lock on. Good luck with that .

Yes, I have a CCW and am usually armed.  BUT....  I always leave the weapon locked in a handgun safe in my locked/alarmed vehicle.

I think you handled the situation quite well considering the suprise you were dealt but I really would let anyone who calls for a personal recommendation know the whole story.  My opinion is to not recommend through the verification site.  They should back you up based on the circumstances.

I'm always armed except where not allowed by law-and to look at me you would never know-nor should you...
The reason is simple and will be discussed at length in the Zimmerman trial.
Once you are licensed to carry, you are should carry at ALL times-again except where restricted.
The reason is because in the event that person draws his gun, it is easier to get establish why he/she was armed.
If you only carry sometimes then intent can come into play and cause problems for the person who has used the gun.
HOWEVER a CCW license also clearly states the gun should NEVER be seen by another.
He should NEVER have let you see it, for exactly the reason that happened.
You were alarmed and that is violating the law.
Only people "reasonable thinking & reasonable situations" are supposed to have a weapon in view of others.
He is either an idiot for not knowing the law-when its his business to know the law or he is a jerk to scare you-regardless if it was unintentional or not.
Sorry you had to deal with this.

he was in class with you and too busy looking at those beautiful mounds and eyes of yours!

Sorry to have strayed from the topic.

Lol thanks!!

Have you always carried something or did you start when you started providing?

Did something happened that caused you to start packing?

Have you ever had to use it?

Did you take classes to learn how to use it?

How often do you practice using it?

Sorry for so many questions. You seem so informed so I'm very curious.

Hello,
No, nothing bad or scary has ever happened to me thankfully and I have never used it other than at a range.
I'm from a military family background and respect for guns and the rights we have to own and enjoy them are something I value very much. Want a giggle go to my website-lol you will smile!
My husband was infantry and a sharp shooter for the Army so he taught me over 20 years ago basics. I have only taken the class to allow me to carry.
I go to the range at least twice a week. I personally think it is irresponsible to carry and not keep up on skills especially for women.
I have taught two other providers basic skills and both love guns now and would be more than happy to meet you at my range if you are interested.
Scumbags can sense when people are scared and prey upon those, I can assure you regardless of where I am, I am cool as a cucumber!

Dear Brenda:
I am just wondering because I know that you do screen just like any other good provider who is worth their weight in salt. However when you get your incall or your hotel room, where would you keep your gun so that you would have immediate access to it? Also for certain situations would you keep two so that you can always defend yourself?  Finally when you travel or when you are at home would you have another friend who is on call or close just in case there is a situation?

Hello-
I'm sorry but I'm not about to discuss how/where I handle/hide my guns or discuss what type of security I have with me during a session.
I can answer when I'm at home, (because I do NOT see clients in my home) my carry pistol when I go to bed is under the pillows on the side of the bed I do not sleep on.

And, people who carry for the purpose of self-defense never give their weapon up, even when choosing to disrobe in a situation when they have assessed risk. At best, it's not something you say or do upon meeting a stranger who works in an occupation already associated with a high level of risk or crime.

Excellent point Macy, my weapons are my responsibility and to hand any over to anyone except while on the range I might be shooting with is just NOT something I would ever do.

Providers.....hell yes!! ( i hope you all are carrying some type of personal protection )
You don't stand a chance against a much stronger person. ( man )
I always made sure my daughters at least had pepper spray on their key-rings.

I'm not sure the purpose of carry to an illegal activity. For example if your selling drugs and happen to be carry a gun nobody cares if you are a licensed gun carrier.  You have now been involved in a gun crime.  Plan to do 3-4x the jail time

That only applies if the gun is carried for the purpose of commiting the crime. In other words, if a provider is carrying for self-defense, she would most likely not turn a prostitution arrest into a felony, but a hobbyist would have a tougher time explaining his potential motivation.

In most states CCW license carry makes no difference when carried in the commission of any crime they are not valid and greatly change what you can be charged with, this not only varies from state to state, but county to county.  No the laws well.  And if your going to be involved in anything criminal leave the gun at home locked up.  Your vehicle is not a secure place to keep a gun.  In many areas if your gun is stolen and used in a crime you can be held responsible if not properly reported.  Remember laws are subject to change by driving into a different township.  A knowledge of local as well as state and federal laws is a must when carrying a gun

because it upgrades a misdemeanor offense for a felony...  as do drugs...   He did the gentlemanly thing & revealed it before the touchy feely greeting might find it & cause a freak out.

At one time I conducted gym & swim classes in public access facilities in a major urban area.  After the term ended, we all went to dinner, one guy I knew to be a Special Officer, was carrying his 357 duty revolver (it was a while ago)...  a big black dude... a neet suit & tie guy... was an armed Guard at a major hospital, had a 45auto...   but in many weeks of changing to bathing suits or gym clothes, NO ONE HAD SEEN ANY OF THE WEAPONS.  As they should not have.  I believe the guard removed his in the toilet stall, secured with a lock & placed in his gym bag.  Everyone kept their gym bags close by as the locker rooms were not totally secure.   A client might want to do this

But in the scenerio of a meeting, if the greeting hug had revealed a weapon...   it would have totally spoiled the atmosphere...    HE might want to rethink carrying a weapon to a meeting.

I don't think you should reverse your OK.  The meeting went fine.  He arrived, paid correctly & left when he was supposed to.  He didn't threaten you or try to harm you.  You even said he was an easy client.

all in all he was an easy client
Sorry about your distressing situation but I'm left wondering what is considered an easy client.

I grew up in a culture where firearms are the norm. A sporting tool, a collectible trinket, etc, no big deal to 99% of the people there. I happen to like them for all the reasons mentioned, but I rarely bring one to a date. Maybe twice, only because the neighborhood environment made me nervous. Didn't mention it to the providers, and kept it discretely under wraps. All went well.
