does anybody know anything about it?

Generally speaking, AFF and its various guises are not very good - about a 100000000000 to 1 female to male ratio.  good luck with that!

I actually joined up briefly, more for chuckles than anything else ( a "fling" with a civvie doesn't interest me in the least).
Got a few inquiries from girls with pics WAY too hot to be really interested, all safely distant from me.
Interestingly, after I cancelled the account the inquiries from hotties literally flooded in.  Again, all far enough away so as not to actually be at risk of having to meet me, and more than a few with exactly the same profile pics.
Personally I'm convinced that they have tons of fake womens profiles they use to message the masses to try to keep them hooked...

i'm sure these guys make tons of money, but not from me.

I also joined briefly, and quickly got a couple contacts from women that were far away. One supposedly lived in L.A. but was traveling on extended business in Africa. I did a search for info on scams and sure enough - there is a specific scam where a "woman" establishes a long-distance internet relationship with an unsuspecting male. He gets reeled in to helping her out of jam in a foreign country by wiring money to get her out of jail or a kidnapping plot. After reading that I canceled the account.

Presumably because there have been so many unsatisfied customers such as myself, AFF now has many other sites that link back to it.

If you see something like "Looking for a sex partner in "(your city)", then AFF has probably put on a cookie based on your searches.
