But I too have a similar experience... two of my fraternity brothers were studying to become aeronautical engineers and both of them had their pilot’s license. Evidently they had to log hours regularly to maintain them. One weekend, one of them conned me into going up with him in a small two seater Cessna. Same, for me! I had college friends who were getting and maintaining their pilot licenses. I got to fly, as the passenger, on some of their flights in single engine planes. I think that the first time, we took off from Tiny Airport A, landed at Smaller Airport B for 5 minutes, turned around and returned to Tiny Airport A.
