Fighting exhaustion

Feeling exhausted lately which has impacted my ability to hobby. Upon waking up, I feel spent. I have a good breakfast and go about the day's work but can't seem to improve my energy level. Had a complete physical and everything is fine.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Jack Lallane: Are you juicing?
Ahnold: Ahhr you pumping up?
Dr. Ruth: Are you using condoms?
But seriously, if you aren't doing some kind of physical exercise, you should. Sounds oxymoronic, but a workout can actually invigorate. Do you get a good night's sleep? Uninterupted, on a good mattress? Are you eating high carb? If you are, when they burn up in an hour or two, you are left with no energy.

Another idea is you may be working out some subconscious anxiety while you are sleeping. Sometimes when I am having a really active dreamlife, I feel exhausted in the morning. Good luck with that. I suffer from insomnia, so I completely understand feeling wiped out during the day. It's hard to be energetic if you aren't sleeping well.
You may also consider some dietary changes and regular exercise. I know nothing about you, but things like this can affect your energy level as well.
Wishing you the best in getting it figured out! xxx Octavia.

I've been depressed off and on all my life, even as a child (and they didn't know shit about childhood depression in the fifties and sixties). I've probably been on every depression med sold. I'm currently on Welbutrin and Remeron.

Certain psychotropic drugs will kill your sex drive and/or interfere with your ability to get an erection. I tried the little blue pill in 2001, when I was still with my spouse, and it didn't do anything but give me a headache like I'd drunk a six pack of beer.

The only med I can warn you against is Seroquil. But if you're on blood pressure and chorestoral meds, as I am, the different drugs in combination with one another can cause problems too.

BTW, when we split up, my depression got a lot better :-)
I stopped needing mid afternoon naps at that point.

simple as that

Apnia?  Do you snore?  If you have apnia it's possible you are waking up over and over again throughout the night to get a breath and never truly getting a good nights sleep.

Excercise
Don't eat or drink too late in the evening
Sleep on your stomach
Get a massage

do not recommend sleeping on one's stomach - that's the absolutely worst position for one's back!!!

oops didn't know that!  It's the most comfortable position for my own back.

Get checked for sleep apnea. Do a sleep study even if you are not overweight some people have it and  do not know.I am overweight and 2 years ago I was literally falling asleep going to work in the morning. Did an overnight sleep study and they found out I was stopping breathing. This would cause me to wake up constantly.
Now I have a CPAP machine and I feel great. The thing is you never get into rem sleep which is what you need to function daily. You only need 5-6 hours sleep if you get rem sleep if not you could sleep 10 hours and not feel rested. Of course exercise is very important. Good luck.

Make sure your thyroid levels were checked in the physical.

This is not the place to get this question answered. There are a lot of reasons for feeling tired. Many of them are medical. You should see a doctor and let them know about all of the symptoms. You could be anemic. You may have a sleeping disorder as some have suggested. You could be on the onset of diabetes. Some of these are serious and should get medical attention. See a doctor.

What you need is for someone "to blow your brains out"

was any cbc/comeprehensive work done? (Did they draw your blood and run a test) Did your MD discuss suger levels in your body? Did they take your suger levels and read them back to you? Did the Doc order a suger stress test?

Do you have any history of high/low blood pressure? Any history of it in your family? Same with suger problems?

Lastly, has anyone ever discussed with you a problem called 'sleep apena'?  How about stress management and depression?

Please do not send me the answers to the above quesitons....its only the concern between you and your MD. It is truly none of my biz....

However, I am trying to give you some questions to ask to rule out a entire host of problems realted to the symptoms that you discribe.  All the above should have been discussed at least with you and between  you and your Doctor, you decide what is best.

For right now...I do not suggest engageing in sex. Sounds like your lymph system may also have a problem and you could not fight off well, a cold.

All the above is a pretty easy cure unless something major is found. Only your MD can answer the above questions.

Hope you get better soon. have a question? I'll try and help or get someone that can get the answer for you.

Get some supplements and exercise:

1) AST Dymetadrine Extreme (has caffeine) ... this is for intense work out. God this will keep you awake all day with your eyes wide open. I can drive 9 hours long distance with little stop and no sleepiness if I take this. Would not recommend you take this at 4:00 pm or you'd be wide awake at 2:00 a.m.

2) Do cardio exercises at least 2x a week for 30-40 minutes. This is very effective in prolonging fuck time. And you won't get leg cramps if your legs are constantly exercised and muscles are elastic.

3) Tributus Terrestris - ups your testosterone (you can buy at any Vitamine Shoppe or GNC.  But the best is Fuzu (www.syntrax.com).  You'll always have a hard on.  Unfortunately Fuzu is out of stock. Damn, I always have a hard on with that pill.  But just get the generic Tributus at your local GNC or Vitamin shop.

4) Red Kat (a new product by Biotest) www.red-kat.com - I just tried it.  It seems to work.  The guys at my local Vitamin Shoppe highly recommended it. It increases your free testostorone and keeps you ballistic.  After a week of taking it, I finally saw some results today. Did 2 pops with a provider in 45 minutes of non-stop action.

When your testosterones are up, you won't feel sleep. And your sex drive will be charged up.

Actually, sports nutrition has advanced quite considerable over the last few years that you could buy over-the-counter stuff that will increase your sexual peak without the need for viagra.

5) Ah .. and do some bench presses ... they are very helpful with prolong MISH position.

Just my 2 cents buddy.

As others have said, exhaustion can be caused by many things.

Sleep apnea is a dangerous problem - because you might nearly choke in the night, but more importantly as was mentioned earlier by someone, you may fall asleep while driving.  I'm under the impression it is generally a problem only for overweight people as they are also "overweight" in their upper airways, causing the problem.  Of course it never hurts to have your recommended weight for various reasons.  :)

Low blood pressure can reduce energy levels.  If you are not getting it tested regularly, you can do it yourself at many drug stores.

Eating healthfully will help.  Heavy foods, lots of meat and so on might bog you down - but not everyone is the same on this.  Some people need meat for energy.  However a travel trick to feel refreshed and alert is to drink lots of water, eat things like fruit and such (instead of heavy foods) and you arrive feeling more zippy.

For an energy boost and "nerve-calming" affect, both in one, vitamin B-12 can work.  Once in a while, 500mg in the AM will brighten up your day and keep you calm in stressful situations. However if you take that much daily, it may have you so energized after several days that you can't sleep.  You will have to find out for yourself.

Consider taking a good multivitamin.

Maybe you lack regular exercise.

I had that problem, they did a sleep study on me, and discovered that I kicked in my sleep, and was partially waking myself up over 600 times a night.

Sounds pretty radical, but apparently, it was a side-effect of an initial long period of sleep dep that I had, and never recovered from.  Because they treated it for 6 months with a parkinson's medication, Miropex.  After that, the problem had completely disappeared.
