Do female pimps exist?  Have any of you worked for one?  How are they different from male pimps?

Agency owners (that are female, obvi) are technically female pimps aka "madames". They take a cut of your money just like a male pimp would (do those even still exist? Honestly?! Lol!).

I'd love to be an agency owner one day when I'm retired. Hehe

When I think of madams I imagine a lady running a escort agency.  I was thinking more of a thuggish  or street type of female pimp.  The kind with the fancy car that drives the girls from city to city.

they are often ex-working girls themselves.  They usually run higher class call girls whereas pimps usually manage streetwalkers.  Many agencies are run by madams, and many of the Kgirl bookers are retired Kgirls themselves, although there are also male Kgirl bookers.  I never heard of a pimp that was actually a man-whore first.

The internet opened up the business without having to rely on Pimp to get clients, now girls like to be treated respectfully, the whole mean Pimp stuff was back in the 90s,,, the girls who still like to be managed work for agencies mostly female owned.

I'd image that now If a pimp was cruel to a girl, she'd leave him, I'd hope lol. And he will be out of business.

Even if the overall job function is the same.

Some women don't think before they type.

Question, do you think a pimp regardless of gender, would be more of a masculine or feminine role?

but unfortunately pimps do still exist and yes some of them are women. I have read a few legitimate "human trafficking" cases where it was a woman controlling, abusing, and "turning out" other women (girls) against their will.

Now of course if we would quit wasting resources trying to put consenting adults in jail, maybe pimps would be a thing of the past, but for the time being at least, even though most pimps are of the "web pimp" variety today, yes they are still a reality and yes some of them are women.

the girl doesn't have to suck a dick
to get the "better" clients,
when she's working for a woman.
A woman will expect the girl to be accountable for her actions.
That "sweet-talkin' " shit won't work on a female.

I have found that a lot of girls, especially those who need help in this business,
would rather work for a man.
They like to please "Daddy".

There was a story a year or two back about a couple of women who kidnapped a younger lady and pimped her out against her will. Clearly pimping and trafficing. They're enjoying federal hotel accommodations, next 20 years or so I think, via the taxpayers. In this case I'm quite happy making my contribution.

You don't hear about it much but...

With you on the hope we could see that aspect fade away. I think legalization would do a lot of good for many but it, unfortunately, would not end the situation. In some ways I almost fear legalization would then result in the pimps* and trafficers moving into even more disturbing types of forced services -- resulting in the victims having an even worse time of things. That of course is premised on the idea they are not already at that point in a majority of cases.

* Just wondering if with pimps there's an equivalent concept of white hat/black hat that is found in the hacking world. Or does pimp imply at least exploitive and probably brutal?

Prostitution is legal in many countries in this world, and in most cases where prostitution is legal, pimping is illegal, and since the hookers have full protection under the law, pimps are almost unheard of in those countries.

So your "almost fears" are unfounded, You don't have to "wonder" how it would be, simply look at the many places where it's already a reality.

'Pimps' can be a wealth of information. They know the game and can school newbies. How to keep safe being the biggest thing. They know stuff no girl who is just getting into this all by herself has any real clue what is involved.

They are not all bad. Some are sounding boards for rants, some teach a girl how to let things roll off her back (alot of abuse is taken when clients are inquiring), some motivate and show a girl she can have higher aspirations for herself than just making money for her rent and cellphone bill.

They call themselves managers, drivers, security or some other unoffensive name as pimp has the connotation of an abusive money grubbing opportunist that is commonly portrayed in movies. That is why here in canada living off the avails has been taken off the books (in the sense that a girl can hire those professions for her safety, as long as she is not coerced)

Disclaimer: I am not a pimp, I am not pimped out, I am only a mature woman blessed with observational and introspective skills that come with life experience and age. And an appreciation (hopefully a non-judgemental appreciation) for the variety of life experiences of others.

legalization comes with other barriers to safety and well being of service providers.

Here (link below) is a Ted Talks about legalization vs decriminalization (The good thing about Ted talks is they are less than 20 minutes in length)
