Fed interest?

Is there Federal interest in people getting VIPs on this site? Is getting a VIP an illegal international transaction by Federal law?

I'm thinking of getting my passport done, for the express purpose of visiting a country where natural functions for value are not prohibited. Would I be in trouble if I violated the laws of my state while outside the US?

It looks like the feds are going to start clamping down on those avenues we all use to keep paper trails clean.

I guess it is inevitable, and if it helps stop terrorists then it's a good thing, but it will make the hobby a tad bit riskier too.

Where it comes to the hobby, "when in Rome" lol

Good thing too, I travel at least once of month to countries where prostitution is legal, if I were to be prosecuted for every time I paid a hooker while out of the country, I'd be facing a thousand counts by now, and I'd be facing another dozen or so by next Wednesday. I am headed to Costa Rica tomorrow with the express intent on getting drunk and fucking hot women and I am more than happy to pay for the pleasure. lol

I'm not a lawyer, but I've read a couple articles about sex tourist groups being arrested that were going to Thailand for the purpose of having sex with girls that were legal in Thailand, but most likely underage in the US and Japan- the two countries from where the groups departed.

This was the work of some international task force designed to cut down on sex tourism in Thailand and elsewhere.  But it does, in fact, do exactly what the OP asked about.  It makes it illegal for an American to go to a foreign country for the purpose of having sex, even though it's legal in the country he will be visiting.

Now, presumably, they were going abroad to have sex with underage girls, but how can you arrest someone for that before an alleged crime has even occurred?  Hell, I think about banging teenage girls every time I go to the mall, but you can't be arrested for something you've only thought about but haven't done.

Even though I've never traveled abroad for purpose of sex (OK, my penis did accidentally fall into a few vaginas when in Korea, but I also had other business there too) I find this an interesting issue and will ask Legal Beagle about it.

Having sex with children is illegal in Thailand...  they got busted for having sex with little girls. The people in Thailand providing that service also got arrested.

It is not illegal for an American to go to another country and have sex where prostitution is legal...

That's equivalent to saying if you come out to Nevada and visit one of the legal brothels that you are going to get arrested once you cross back over the county line...

Think about it..

if they were arrested in Thailand, as you said. But the reason it got my attention, unless I'm remembering it incorrectly, is I thought the US officials were the ones that arrested them.

Well except for this high paying moderator gig of course. lol

I'm investing in pre-paid plastic before Sept 26 so I won't run out.
