Have you ever offered a barter to a provider?

Bartering services has been discussed before but I'm curious if any of you hobbyists had any success in this department. Have you ever bartered with a provider? What services did you give in exchange for her "time and companionship." :)

I was going to post this in the thread below about "would you rent to an escort?" but, it is more applicable here. A provider I had become freinds with, asked me if I would allow her to stay at my place when she is visiting my area. Maybe for one week every other month or so. She would not use it for incall obviously. She was just lookig for a place to stay as a home base, while on tour in my town, rent free. She would do outcalls from there. She offered me two hours of play time for one week of rent. Any time other than that, we would be strictly roommates. She would be working and doing her own thing. If I wanted more than two hours for the week, I would pay for it. I didn't take her up on it because my living situation did not allow it at the time, but I was very intrigued by it, and by the fact that she proposed it out of the blue.

I kind of regret not being able to do it, because I think that could have been a kind of neat thing. Oh I also realize a lot of things could have gone wrong. I may have gotten too attached, or had the IFFP syndrome being around her that much, or maybe start getting jealous or worried, knowing she was out with other guys. Even totally non provider related, bad things coud have happened. Roomates do become enemies sometimes, or do things that just drive each other nuts.

On the other hand I think of the good things that might have happened. We may have gotten closer as friends. Lots of off the clock talking and sharing time. and as for the fun time I kind of pictured, instead of actually scheduling time, to just leave it up to her to suprise me. I think it would have been cool to just be roomies for a few days, then one night in the middle of the night, she just comes into my room and crawls into bed with me, or decides to join me in the shower, or something like that. the time also could be one block of two hours or two one hour blocks, or 4 half hour blocks etc. Of course I probably would have gone broke, because I would be like, "Oh just stay with me the rest of the night" or maybe just seeing her all sexy in my house, I would get the urge and say, "Hey how about now." Yeah I don't know if two hours would have been enough if she was actually around all week. Anyway it never happened and I seriously doubt I ever get another offer like that.

and a 40" flat screen TV by bartering with clients...

There are times when someone has something I'd like and we can reach an agreement. However, it's important to note that both of these were repeat clients, and we had established a level of trust and rapport. (or else how would they know I like the Pats?)

I wouldn't recommend starting out with that proposal until you know the lady.

I work in an industry that it might be possible, as long as certain criteria were met, and it wasn't frequent. In fact I have been asked about "special discounts" by women who might be providers, but I have to remain professional so I can't just assume they are talking about "time and companionship". If I were asked about it directly and specifically, I bet I could have a conversation that might lead to an arrangement.

I was going to pose this question, and this is in the ballpark. Do any of the guys offer their services to the ladies? and if so, do you charge them?
I have given my professional services to a few ladies (which typically aren't cheap). They came to my office. I wasn't seeking a barter arrangement...no motives except maybe a little preferential treatment on our next encounter.
One actually asked me how much she owed me, and I waived any fee, the others didn't offer and I didn't ask. BTW, I didn't receive any preferential treatment with her anyway!
Should I have charged them? It's not like I was a regular.
I do alot of pro bono work anyway, so I thought what's a few more?

Years ago before I retired I had a lovely repeat client whom I used to see who happened to be an attorney.  I bartered with him in exchange for him to draft an “Articles of Incorporation” for an acquaintance of mine who ran a rescue organization for dogs.  As a former tax account, I then filed the necessary tax forms to apply for her a tax id and recognition as a charitable organization.  It worked out beautifully!

They were taking college courses and asked me if I would edit (some extensively) their papers. Often it was to clean up the grammer or re-word points they were trying to make to the professor. (My profession is one in which I perform this almost daily as part of my job description, so it doesn't take long.)

For one lady, her first paper edited was in her sophomore year. For the next two years I never had to pay for any time with her since she jumped up a letter grade and a half.

She spread the word to a couple other ladies taking courses, and I also provided the same service to them.

All that "grammer" experience? I weep for our educational system.

I once bartered a very large gift card from my business for two, two hour sessions. The sessions would have cost me $1000 between the two and the gift card was worth $2000. So she made out well. And I made out as what she bought with it only cost me $600 and change. It was agreed apon what she would buy a head of time. We both won.

Here is a photo for the fun of it. Photo if of Anita E. from Met-Art.com

when she said "okay" it went on another ten years from there.

I offered her my heart and soul.  She said it would be worth about 10 minutes of her 'time and companionship with no touching'. There were no ATMs around, so I took her up on the offer. She broke my heart and blackened my soul. Sweet memories.

Have done tax returns for providers in exchange for a roll in the hay.
