I tried to get on FB one time and OMG I had people jumping out from my past I really wished wouldnt! lol I had and old HS BF that just about stalked my ass so yea FB sux and I would NEVER use it for the hobby. I have heard of some ladies using FB and it may work for them but FB for me just doesnt cut it. Even if I did use it for the hobby the gent would still need refs so why even bother at all. FB fights most requests, but if LE gets a judge to sign an order, they will comply. Same with your gmail, yahoo account, apple stuff, dropbox, etc. though, fwiw. These companies all comply with valid court orders.
Since timeline was forced on me I canceled it too. Plus the app is shit. Careful. It is so easy to re activate. All you have to do is click any one of the icons and boom. Those icons are everywhere too.
Then again, with all the phishing going on, I don't really trust that site. Too many times it hacks into your contacts and sends everyone on it some dumb message about, "London Rayne invited you to join facebook." Um, no I did NOT lol. I just make sure that my 'save contacts' is not checked off.
