I guess there's always some that don't get the word, but this has been talked about so many times, in so many places since HIV was discovered that it's hard to imagine anyone could be surprised at this point.  I remember first hearing the warnings about lambskin condoms not protecting against HIV as far back as 1990-91, so it's not like they've been keeping it a secret.

Natural membrane condoms are what all condoms used to be made from and have been around since forever- your grandparents and their parents used them.  They're expensive, but continue to be sold on a low volume basis because they do offer a different feel than latex- most would say better.

But while they transmit heat better, they don't stretch as easily, and they're more porous so they should never be used for anal sex- and as you just discovered, they don't protect against most disease either.

I didn't realize that.  I'm not really into latex.

This information is good to read.  BUT ... often when you write a topic, it's good to know your audience.

I would think that most, if not the majority, of folks here know about different condoms.  It's good to know about lambskin ones also because of allergies that an individual might have to latex.

However, it's always a positive to throw stuff out there for mental consumption.  Don't listen to the naysayers giving you grief!!!

condoms are awesome! They are my favorites, bar none, as long as I am relatively sure the girl is clean and only fucking me. Which pretty much means, long-term girlfriends only. They are the next-best thing to bareback and they feel light-years better than latex condoms, IMO.

And I do read the label!
