END OF MESSAGE

I understand that it may take something away from the romanticism of the date but it would allow for dates that wouldn't otherwise happen. As a half-measure providers could charge say 300/hr for 90 mins and have that be non-negotiable but have negotiable rates for 1hr and 30 mins. That way the provider will get the full rate from guys that are less price sensitive and still have the ability for profitable dates with guys who want to shop around.

If providers feel insulted I wonder why?

how she should market herself. Ladies don't like to negotiate the rates, and that's how the game is played. It has nothing to do with romance.

One of the reasons you don't negotiate the rates is because A) Its cheap. If I can't afford the girl, I would just move on or see someone in a different price range, and B) It brings up conversation about money, and no provider who values safety wants to discuss money for obvious safety reasons.

It's insulting because the price you pay is the price the provider feels her time/companionship is worth.

When you try to negotiate, it's offensive because it makes it seem as if you don't feel the lady is "worth it."

If you have a good time, that's all that should matter.
If you didn't have a good time, don't see her again.
Simple as that.

...principal applies to a provider.  She's in the service business and if you haggle, you'll get lousy service if she reluctantly accepts your offer.

It is a basic respect issue and I don't understand how some guys don't get this.  You DO haggle at yard sales, flea markets and used car lots!  Would you haggle in a fine dining establishment, or hotel, or spa?  Not  unless you want to look like a cheap-skate with no class and get laughed out the door. ;)

This is not ok for many reasons. For one thing, it cost us money on the front end to provide a half decent experience for our clients. There are significant expenses related to maintenance as a woman. From hair, manicures and so forth. That easily cost me $500 plus monthly. Consider the cost of a nice incall. Thouands.... on top of that we HAVE to make a profit in order to maintain our own households. So while we have to consider those numbers we also need to see as few guys as possible for a few reasons. These reasons include not having a revolving door that 1. Draws unwanted attention, would wear any person out and have them giving less to each client. This mindset runs counter to having a quality experience with your provider if she is offering deals to appease YOU, she sets herself up to have to see many more guys just to make her ends meet. And somewhere down the line service for you will suffer. Maybe she won't be able to afford a decent place for you to visit... or maybe she rushes you out because she has doubled her client load as her rates are soooo low. Sorry so wordy but as a new provider I'm have really been thinking on these things and the girls I'm seeing with the less positive reviews/ most criticism regarding being rushed or lousy incalls also charge the least. Lastly, how would you feel of you went to work today and your boss wants to negotiate your rate of  pay?  Just some thoughts from my pov

" She is a hooker afterall, and can just fk another guy that day or week to make up for what she missed giving a discount." I abhor such bs, as it really suggests we are less than human. Some of these hagglers need to see just what a vagina goes through to please them lol, and maybe they would lose that same attitude.

I am not banging 5 guys a week to make what I can make by seeing 2...it is simply never going to happen. They bitch about high rates but if you see them at a Motel 6 at a low rate, they will bitch about that as well. If you're low volume at a low rate, you must have another income because it is almost impossible to cover the expenses and be cheap.

The problem isn't as simple as you put it.... Think about the girls who advertise $225 and then attempt to "negotiate" for a higher rate for what we consider baseline GFE... we frown upon those providers as much as they frown upon the reverse... Personally I have found that when you put the envelope down, the contents should explain your intentions...

If the shoe fits ( in this scenario ) don't hand it to me...

saturnsky443 reads

I approach it two ways...if the man that is negotiating is cheap, I double the fee, he turns red and explodes. The nicer negotiators I will work with. You want my time for less money, then I scale down my deal to match the lower price. That way I don't feel cheated and he gets to pay what he feels he can afford.

I have ceased any BP dates, unless well reviewed in here. So the ladies I see have a well defined donation structure to which I never deviate. If I wish to spend time with a lovely lady, the last thing I want to do is ruin the experience by bickering about money. I also don't want for a provider to accept a counter offer and then not put her all into our time together cease of it. You get what you pay for in life, and when you grow up and realize that the hobby will be much more enjoyable for you.

Do you barter with your plumber? How about your car mechanic? I think not, they provide a service just like the wonderful women here. You don't have to hobby, and you don't have to choose high end providers.

Ok ladies this question is for you. I don't tip, partly because I don't want to insult a lady with a tip that is too small. Now as you've read above I also don't ask for specials or try to barter. I pay exactly what I'm asked and I'm always conscious of time. I've never once stayed overtime unless I've been asked to. I buy my favorites birthday presents, not to extravagant but presents none the less that is above and beyond the donation. So my question is what percentage is appropriate for a tip? Thank you in advance for your comments.

saturnsky393 reads

Tipping is a nice surprise but with me, not ever expected.

NOt sure if you meant negotiate instead of barter. But the fact is you can negotiate with trades people. Even the "car dealer" service writer will negioate and my plumber did a hot water tank awhile ago and gave me a great deal after I asked. But back to the OP, no I don't negotiate with providers, but I do look for specials. And where I am, it's somewhat standard for "high end" providers to offer specials from time to time. Many will offer them on smaller private local boards, and some will even mention them on the TER regional boards. Pays to be a good shopper.

Unless you know them personally, no plumber or auto mechanic is going to negotiate their price. And unless you know them personally I wouldn't want them to because if they are giving you a discount then they aren't doing a portion of the job that they would've. I can't speak for auto mechanics because it's been way too many years since I haven't had a car that wasn't still under warranty, but when I was using a mechanic I can assure you if I would've tried to bicker with them on price they would've handed me my keys back and said "next". But I have had to use the services of a plumber, and I can guarantee the same thing. They charge what they charge and they need to make money too. I don't know about you, but I don't want my plumber cutting corners and doing spotty work, I want my plumbing to work correctly every time I use it. So, sorry to say but I don't believe for a minute that you negotiated a great deal with your plumber, unless of course he's a friend doing you a favor. Pay what the price is! It's not rocket science, and if you can't afford it then don't do it. Plain and simple. Or do it yourself including the hobby. These women provide a great service, I can be with beautiful women that do what I like and I don't have to suffer through arguments and bullshit. I know their motivation and I also know exactly how much it's going to cost me. I'm not sure I'll ever have a civie GF again and I dam sure won't ever get married again. I get variety and way better looking women than if I was in the civie market and I know that they're going to be great lays. They get what they want and so do I.

I'm a massage provider and I will actually refuse tips if I know it is included with the donation, which is  sometimes handed to me with a verbal note of what is there.  I will return the overage and kindly suggest that they save it towards their next visit :)  If I don't realize that there is a tip until after they have left, I will give them a bit longer time at their next visit. (No, I don't count money with client there nor do I make any mention of it while they are there...not my style...so far it has worked like a charm!)
I am blessed with kind, generous clients and although I appreciate the extra they are willing to give, I realize that no one is made of money and I am appreciative of the fee and don't require anything beyond that.  Also, I don't want to feel like I owe anyone anything "extra" because they gave me "extra"  ;)  We all know how that goes!  lol

good for you. If you are worried about the percentage aspect, don't. We are not waitresses lol. A gift card to Bath and Body, Victoria's Secret, Spas, etc. always do the trick and then you don't have to worry about that cash thing. Every woman loves a gift card.

There seems to be an attitude among most ( if not all ) women that that there is something inherently wrong with negotiating their rate.

Someone here said, " yeah, I'll come down sometimes, but then I scale down the service."

Others say " if you can't afford a lady, move on"

I think people who take that attitude are full of themselves. Ladies,,,,,,you are providing a service,,,its a business,,,,the guy IS the customer,,,I am the one who determines the rate,,,NOT you. If you charge$1,000 an hour and we won't pay,,,then you have to lower your price or go out of business. If you charge $1,000 and have a waiting line of people to see you then WE obviously feel you're worth it. And good for you.

I'll bet anything that every one of the ladies here who feel offended when someone tries to negotiate their rate has done exactly that in their personal lives. Ladies, when you buy a car, or house or if you've ever bought anything from Craigslist or E-Bay  are you telling me that you don't negotiate???? Really??? And if so,,,then why, pray tell,,,is it so horrible for you to be asked to negotiate.

An old expression comes to mind when I see someone who acts terribly offended when they are asked for a discount,, " you think your shit don't stink?"

I don't know ANY business that does not engage in discounting in one form or another. My last colonoscopy was paid for out of pocket, ( high deductible ) and I asked the billing person for a discount if I wrote a check at the time of service. 25% right off the top she said.

I have asked for discounts OFTEN. Sometimes the ladies say yes, we have a great session, and she becomes a regular. My current ATF is a lady I've seen 12-14 times in the past 6 months,,,she has made a lot of money with me. Some have hung up on me, some have politely refused a discount,,,,I've never understood why someone gets up on their high horse and acts like I've insulted their mother all because I've asked for a discount.

Ladies,,,,let me remind you,,,,I'm the customer, not you. Your job is to please me, not act like your doing me a favor by taking my money.

I'm a professional, ( in the hearing aid business ). I have a doctorate in my field, and I often am asked for a discount and NEVER am offended by it. Sometimes I've said yes, sometimes no. Depends on how and when its asked for. But just because someone asks for a discount is NO reason for me or anyone else to be offended.

And for those who say " if you can't afford me, go to someone cheaper" or " you get what you pay for",,,all I can say is you won't be getting any of my money

Last time I looked I set my fee, not you. And this here is another reason I won't see hobbyists who think their shit doesn't stink...did you actually read this rant and see some of what you accuse us of doing right here? Probably not, your head was too far up your rectum chasing that colonoscopy fiber-optic  you got for cheap.

Saturn, in a capitalistic system its the market that sets the price, and that would be the customer. If a girl charges $200 an hour and is popular she will invariably raise her price because the market will bear that increase. So if she charges 300 an hour and then 400 then 500 she will keep raising her fee BECAUSE the market pays that rate. She CANNOT charge $1000 if no one will pay that price. So, dear Saturn, I believe you are mistaken, YOU do not set the price, the market does.

For you to insult me BECAUSE I believe its OK to ask for discounts reflects upon you, not me. And it does not reflect well.

Girls charging 2k a date, have another job that allows them to do so. If they don't get but one or 2 clients out of that a month, that is fine with them. Many women will quit before lowering their rates, and that too is a FACT you miss. Not all women here are subject to what your faux bs market analysis suggests, so do keep that in mind. We don't all want to fk 5 guys a week for peanuts.

Yes, but you're intelligent and educated, don't you see that what you say is an example of the market working perfectly?

The girls charging 2K per date are likely only getting that only in small part because they only see two clients per month, but primarily because their looks, skills, and marketplace aloow them to charge that. There is also the fact that their available clients is somewhat limited.

Yes, many women WILL quit before lowering their rates, just like any business. When they quit, they are making more room for the newest entrants into the market.

Sure, you don't want to screw 5 guys a week for peanuts, completely understandable, but the only reason you get to make that choice is you have a product people are willing to pay a certain amount for. I'm not putting you down, but do you think you will always have that luxury. I'm not saying you will do this forever, but if you had to do it at age 55, do you think you could charge the same?

Like it or not, what he was saying is true. "You" absolutely do not have to negotiate. Like any non-coerced transaction, "you" are free to walk away just as he is free to not pay your price, go home and pleasure himself or find someone else he can agree to on a price..

I certainly understand you don't want to be equated with "widgets" in a study of the market, but as long as "you" are not necessary for survival, "you're" pretty much a widget.

BUT, him saying we must do it for everyone is ludicrous. I only play that game with guys I actually want to see, am attracted to, or see some future benefit of doing such. I entertain many barter deals and SD type arrangements, but only because it has a benefit of something other than cold hard cash. I am no stranger to blowing my Dentist or Dermatologist for some free work lol, but I would never just offer up a huge cash off discount to some guy I have never met.

I am also not deluded either, so I agree there would be no way in hell I could command the rates I do in 15 years, which is why I work the way I do now...to prepare for a future of a life that does not involve being a vagina vendor lol.

Nice to see you posting again! I have missed your smart ass comments ha ha.

Damn! I KNEW I should have listened to Mom and gone into Dentistry.

I understand what you're saying, I do, but I'm looking at it in the global sense, in which virtually everything is a negotiation. Even not negotiating is really a negotiation.

Like I said subsequently, when you modify a rate (Notice I didn't say lower?) for a hot guy or some other benefit it's still  a negotiation.

If I looked like you, I wouldn't offer a discount either. I'd probably be pissed that someone would suggest it, but that would, by necessity,  be different if your demand curve changed.

Like I said, I understand the particularly personal aspect of it, but the vitriol I see at the mere suggestion is over the top in my opinion. He offers, you refuse and send him on his way. If he didn't already make an appointment and reserve your time, I see it as no harm no foul. If he DID cause you to block off time and THEN wanted to negotiate, I say cast him to the lions.

Good to see you too. You always seemed pretty reasonable to me.

...who is offended by hagglers, and that does not reflect well on you by the replies you have received.

Market setting the price...yes and no. Mercedes will always be expensive, no matter what and caters to those who can afford them. I set my price and cater to those men who can afford me. I could lower and get more takers but the types that bottom feed are not who I want to deal with.

When we ladies set our prices we do so in order to attract who we wish to see, the area in which we work and what we feel we have to offer in accordance with others supplying the same service. I am priced to deter a certain type of man and I also do other things to deter the types I don't want to see. It is not as simple as you think. A lot more thought can and does go into why we charge what we charge.

I give breaks to clients who have proven very loyal..but those breaks are offered by me and not instigated by them. The clientele I see rarely if ever try and haggle, I think it's a hobbyist type thing from what I can see (the more for less mentality).

I don't mind being asked and certainly not offended but I will come back with a lesser amount of time or whatever I need not to do to be in line with the price reduction. Think retail...the higher end product is rarely discounted, but the stuff they need to get rid of is. Not always and there are exceptions.

I have found that men who haggle are the hardest people to deal with...push the envelop and are all round too much trouble. Just my experience and I am sure not all are like that.

allow me to give YOU a fkin clue...we don't 'all' need YOUR money dear. The women in this business who were smart enough to garner an education or at least some type of additional income, can do whatever the hell we want here...remember that shit smokey! If you think that because you are a customer to 'some' providers, that you can set the rates for all of us, you better wake the fk up and get your head out of your ass. Some women have to negotiate with peons like you, and some like me can tell you to get fked and find the nearest soup kitchen willing to put up with your bs.

If you think we care about being crossed off your hooker list, think again...most women with common sense would not even take money from guys like you. Guess that is another thing you missed in your rant...women who don't have to negotiate also don't have to see every average joe blow who contacts her lol. Wow, what a concept. Hookers who can also CHOOSE who they want to see. :)

Please...keep your money, because it is obvious it is painful to part with it. Sorry, you chose to pay for ass, but we are all full up on crazy here so take that shit down the road where some other hookers might give it any merit.

I have and always will charge more than any other woman in my city, and damn right I don't see a lot of clients...2 a week suits me and my financial obligations just fine, and well...I do have a few side gigs to make up for the gaps. Just like you expect us not to act like "we are doing you a favor by taking your money," we expect the very same thing. We don't need any favors or one red cent from guys like YOU, which is why some of us do on purpose to post the way we do on these boards. Call it damage control lol.

If you really want to know just WHO allows women to make it in this business, it's review sites like this one...not YOU lol. You don't house my 5 years of reviews honey...TER does, and THAT is what allows me to charge what I do and continue to be low volume.

Wow. Each to his own. Your attitude and your language are not very attractive. Not to me anyway. Your ability to discuss asubject without resorting to vulgar name calling is lacking. I'm sure there are plenty of white knights out there who will support your position.

I don't need many WKs either...most every guy in this thread has responded in opposition of your jacked up entitled bs attitude. Only the women who AGREE to see you owe you something, and even then not really. They owe you nothing more than what they agreed to provide for the rate posted, but nothing extra.

The funny thing is you so easily call me arrogant for responding to your own ARROGANCE lol. You have no clue just how many extras and barter deals my regular clients get, but it is very substantial. I just don't negotiate with guys who demand it before they have given me a dime. Tell me...are you going to be around at Christmas time when that same provider giving your hundreds off can't buy her kids toys? Are you going to pay her electric bill if she can't one month? I highly fkin doubt it, so keep your bs. No one owes you anything.

Oh come on. They agree to the rate, period, whether it be the rate posted or thge rate negotiated. You are not required to negotiate and can tell him to go F himself if he does so; it's just that simple.

Your appeal to emotion really weakens your point. So, he should feel bad because, say, a provider negotiated from $500.00 to $400.00 can't buy her kids toys? PLEASE! Can she buy more toys if she get $0.00 rather than $400.00? Should he be obligated to give the provider who only charges $400.00 without haggling MORE money so she can buy HER kids toys?

I understand you ladies are emotional about this, but the fact is, the Market is always at work. When you reject negotiations, still the market.

We can agree that you guys pay to USE us for sex, and then disappear after not calling you up asking for anything correct? Well, by that same logic, we can also expect to USE you to pay our stated rate if you want that luxury. If we call up clients asking them for money, we would be bashed all day long for crossing the line, being tacky, unprofessional, and needy but OMG if you do the same to us it is perfectly acceptable? I think not. If you want the luxury of your money buying you NSA, discretion, and not being bothered until you're ready to fk us again, then don't expect us to allow that line to be crossed either. You really can't have it both ways. :)

If you want to USE a woman for sex, pay the rate or go pick up one at a bar who will threaten to tell your wife when she falls in love with you. You can't expect to use a woman here for next to nothing like you can in the real world, and my point is where are hobbyists when a girl here might need them? With THEIR families..that's where. You owe us nothing, just like we owe you nothing apart from what is agreed upon when we meet.

Once again, this is not a homeless shelter which would be up for compassion. It is a piece of ass that you won't DIE without lol. We are not curing cancer here babe, we are being USED for a nut. Either way you slice it, that is the truth. You go home to your life, your family, and your job after we are discarded and you pay the next hooker. I really don't see why this is so hard to grasp, why we would not let a guy use us in the freaking p4p world. That is WHY most of us are here...to get something in return for spreading our damn legs lol.

Now wait a minute, we don't use you for sex anymore than you use us for money. Any voluntary transaction is assumed to be beneficial to each party and made at market rate. You set the price of "spreading your legs" at what you believe the Market (Us) will pay for that privilege and accept consideration for completing the transaction. What either of us does after the transaction is of no import.

If you call up clients asking for money without offering consideration in return, that's got nothing to do with the Market, that's essentially begging, not negotiating a fair exchange. Your use of the term "USE" is inappropriate. It's a classic B-Law 101 transaction, you know that. Meeting of the minds, consideration, compensation. You say we're buying NSA, discretion, etc. Well, YES! Exactly! I'm not being flip or critical, but that's why we PAY you.

Sorry, when you started accepting payment for your services you took any semblance of being "used" right out of the equation. Again, not saying this in a "tone," but if those things you mentioned about "going home to your wife" and you being "discarded," I really think you might want to re-examine what you're doing. I completely understand why you think that, because you have let emotions enter into it, but if you do that, you will, IMO, tear yourself up.

You're right, a piece of ass isn't something we'll die without :::::::::::::::thinking::::::::::::::: nope, not something we'll die without, THAT is what makes it a voluntary transaction subject to Market forces and negotiation, one way or another.

I do agree with one thing, I don't see why this is so hard to grasp. Actually, I do, it's because when it really comes down to it you don't really want to feel like a vagina vendor. Just my opinion. Oops, just a second, Dr Phil is calling me. LOL

It really does not matter how economics 101 looks at it, what matters to the individual is how they see it. I see it the way London does. We allow, for a fee, a guy to use our body.

Like a laundromat allows, for a fee, a customer to use their equipment to clean and dry clothing.

I suppose I can agree with that, if you're taking it to the base level of body parts, which is fair considering my characterization of the transaction. I took the term "use" to carry the connotation of: "He used me!!!!" in the sense of not being compensated or treated fairly.

on my finger, pay half my mortgage, put my kid through college, listen to me bitch during PMS and well any other occasion, tell me I don't look fat in this dress, and deal with all the other issues that come without paying by the hour, you just let me know and we can talk. Until then...pay the rate or jack off bwahahaha.

What you said about when "I started charging for my ass eliminates the possibility of being used," is EXACTLY what I am saying. My rate keeps me from feeling that way, because we agree. You pay for sex, and I let you use my body for x amount. You start trying to lower that fee, you get to use me less and I get to make you listen to me yap even more ha ha. Not so hard to comprehend right?

Ask some of those poor boys I give OTC time to if they feel it is a fair exchange for what they have to deal with. I will give you a hint...Twilight Saga and me bitching about them getting the wrong damn croutons for my salad lol. Cmon, is that what you REALLY want to deal with from a hooker?

if they dont wanna discount for you, you cant do shit about it. it really is as simple as they say, move your ass to the corner and get a aids infested bitch to give you your around the world. they will also move on to another guy that will pay what they ask. everyone is happy. so why all the bs? i damn sure cant afford London right now, but bet your ass if i could, i would be making it happen like yesterday. so, as you can see, she doesnt need your money.

True, you can't do shit about it, so no deal is made. Next! If they can get somebody to pay their rate, good for them! I don't know if Autumn needs my money or not - neither do you - but I suspect she doesn't. I don't "need" her smooth skin and tight pussy either, but I'd damn sure like them! And I wouldn't even haggle!

not say, "Hey, you should lower your rates for me because I can't afford you," but you simply said "You can't afford it right now." No harm in that at all. It is not like you are sending out sob letters to providers letting them know this on a personal basis, because you know that is just wasted energy.

I will entertain them BUT, they are not getting prime service and time for a discounted price. The very same premiss you have been touting is something is better than nothing if he really, absolutely has to see that particular provider.

If he wants top shelf for sale prices , then he can sit on the phone or behind his computer and go down the list till he finds someone , maybe not his second or tenth choice to oblige him. That;s his right as a consumer. My right as a service provider is do I need that much aggravation for a discounted price and if the man agrees to my counter terms, I don't have a problem at all.

The first thing I will think if you try to talk rates with me, is that you are a cop.  And once my alarms are set off it is very difficult to remove any doubt about your intentions.  Upfront this is a safety matter.  Many of us clearly and directly ask you NOT to discuss rates with us, right there on our website etiquette page.  Why would we be offended when such simple directions are ignored?  Well... if I can't trust you to honor my wishes, I certainly can't trust you to honor my body.

A business sets their rates, not the clients.  The clients are the ones who decide what they will pay, and who they want to see.  Yes, if the market cannot support our rate we may play with it, however YOU are not the one making that decision.

If I offer a special it's most likely I want to thank some of my best clients for their patronage, or to encourage friends to visit places I already plan to be (be that to the theater, or to another state).  Sometimes I will negotiate on extended dates if they want to take me somewhere that I would love to go.  It's got to be a complete win-win, with a trusted and established friend, and it's at *my* offer and discretion.

I bought a Saturn so that I would have a fair and non-negotiated sticker price.  I use Craigslist often and never negotiate - if it's a fair price I buy what I want, if it's not I keep looking.  I've also often used EBay, they have a great "buy now" feature.  Again, if it's a fair price I pay, if not I keep looking.  I even hired a friend to run my own garage sale because negotiating is so painful, and I had a good friend help me move through China so that I wouldn't have to negotiate (there it seems a national past-time).  I set the value for what I want, and I simply shop to find what I want at the value marker I have set.  I think it's quite simple.

There are many business that do not engage in negotiating.  Weekly I partake of many services - yoga instructor, personal trainer, massage therapist, somatic counselor - all of them have set fees.  I've *never* considered negotiating with them.  Yes, my dentist offers a cash-pay discount.  They offered it to me, I did not ask for it.  Cash discounts actually save many business money in processing fees and provides quicker cash flow... In a cash business, that analogy simply does not fly.

Each to their own.  If negotiating works for you, keep at it!
And, it's rediculous that you get so offended by the ladies who get offended.
It make sense that many of them would tell you to move along... as mentioned already, many of us wouldn't want to deal with YOUR attitude, and are just fine without your money.
:)

The ladies have EVERY right to get offended. I mean, you can't sell a "product" more personal than your body. However:

1) WE set the price - we ARE the market. You can set your price at whatever you want, but if the Market (Us) decides it's too much, you'll starve. It's all on a simple Econ 101 curve.

2) Yes, you offer a lower price to maintain market share and penetrate (no pun intended) a new market. When you go on a trip you're negotiating forms of compensation, but you're certainly negotiating.

3) You bought a Saturn rather than, say, a Honda because you preferred not negotiating over negotiating over a different car with attributes possibly more to your looking. If you wanted a Lexus, would you still buy the Saturn just to avoid negotiating?

You say on ebay if it's a fair price you pay. Do you not see that, while it may be indirect, that IS a negotiation?

4) You don't KNOW if they negotiate or not. Regardless, they are subject to the market. If you perceive their prices as too high, you can go elsewhere. You are free to ask them to negotiate and they are free to refuse. I doubt they would get as bent out of shape as you ladies do, but then it's not so personal.

Some of us get offended at negotiation attempts because we have asked you upfront NOT to do so.
You are a potential threat, lose credibility, trust, and respect by ignoring that stated boundary.

Is that a simple enough answer?

You think there is just one market in this business, and that you are it?  If YOU "the market" are not willing to pay a ladies rate, there are likely other markets that will.  There are many ways to respond to not being successful in your target market.  Upgrading services, increasing advertising, offering expanded menus (BDSM, FBSM, other), and touring is not always about simply funding a fun vacation...  Of course, a lady may indeed decide to simply lower her rate.  It is HER decision, not yours.

Actually, my rate goes UP when I travel.  However, I did say that I do sometimes make special offers - for special friends, special circumstance, etc.  Only when it is a known friend, there is a motivating reason, if it supports other areas of my life, if there is a special VALUE to me in making the offer.  Even then, there is an offer, and it's simply accepted or not.  There is no negotiating.

It is silly to suggest that because there is an industry that it is expected to negotiate, that would translate into it being appropriate for all industries.  There are expectations, as well as a time and place for everything.  Even in an industry where the negotiating is expected (such as housing and autos) if the Lexus dealer had a big sign on the door stating a policy of not negotiating prices, or the house listing noted it was a rock-bottom selling price, those statements and policies should be respected.

I don't buy new cars.  You lose thousands in value just driving it off the lot.  If I wanted a Lexus,  I would decide what the value for the Lexus is for me, and I would look until I found (a used) one that fit the price I was willing to pay.  If for some reason I wanted to get the car from a dealer, I would send my brother out with my specs and the magic number.  For me it is personal - I do NOT haggle.

No, I don't see that.  There is a listed price, and I pay.  I do not make a counter offer, try to weasel free shipping into the deal, ask if I can get two for one, or otherwise negotiate the "buy now" prices.

Actually, many of them are personal friends of mine, and I've known them for years.  I've seen some of them trade equal value services in exchange for their services.  I've never seen any of them negotiate, or even offer specials.  Well... my yoga instructor did once offer to cut her rate when I was in a tight spot financially.  I thanked her though refused her offer and cut my budget from elsewhere.  She is a luxury, not a necessity.  All she has to sell is her time, why would I take money from her grocery fund because I wanted to do one-on-one sessions instead of settling for the much less expensive group class?

Did I say earlier -
for some of us it is about respect.
Do unto others, and that kinda' thing...

OK, fine, obviously some of you do, but some of you don't. I'm not even advocating it, but really, you're in business, there is no reason to think some customers won't be a PITA. Don't see them. "Management reserves the right to serve all customers."

No, sorry, not true. There is one global market. There may be niches within, but it's really one market. Right, you can upgrade, etc., like throwing in undercoating or free floor mats. Giving free hot dogs, etc. You're offering more in hopes of attracting business. Like offering Greek at the standard rate. It really is "my" decision, I'm the consumer. There is no contract without me.

Well, good, for some reason you must think your value increases when you travel. If you can get it, good for you. If you can't, I would imagine you would quit traveling. Right, like I said, you negotiate a different method of compensation - you substitute one for another. Ummm, offer and acceptance IS a negotiation.

No not silly at all, you're just ducking the point. It isn't industry specific, it's the principle of a free market, the invisible hand and all that. You can have whatever expectations you want, and your customers can have theirs. If you don't like theirs, don't see them. Simple.

"Should" be "respected?" LOL Says who? So, only the vendor "deserves" respect? What if the salesman at a used car lot with the car you always wanted comes out in his shiny suit and tells you he has a "policy" of not negotiating, but you hear another salesman negotiating. You're going to "respect" the first salesman and pay full price?

You're buying a used Lexus but are only going to pay the posted price, right? There is some generic used Lexus out there? Like a generic woman? You can base your purchase on the "value" of a posted price, that's certainly your privilege, just like it's my privilege to buy the same car for less, or to buy a car you thought was not a good value that, after negotiation, is the value of the day. Oh, I see now, you're against haggling, but you're OK with haggling by proxy. LOL

OK, I'm talking big picture here not anecdotal. When you look at 5 items and refuse 4 of them as being too high and buy the fourth, you are really negotiating, even though you may not have a dialogue.

Well, no offense, but you don't get it. They trade equal value? Really? How do they determine equal value? Is there a crosswalk for valuing barter transactions? Just because you haven't seen something happen doesn't mean it hasn't. I know for a fact that many, probably most, professionals will negotiate at some level.

Oh, you cut your budget elsewhere? You realize  that, appeal to emotion aside, you were merely cutting someone ELSE'S grocery money, right? Given your premise of having only her time to sell, while you think you're doing her a favor by "respecting" her and not haggling, what if her rate was 100.00 but she had no food at home and would prefer to have 80.00 rather than 0.00. Think she is sitting there hungry but OK with it because, after all, you "respected" her by not haggling?

Yes, I was quite impressed with the way you would firmly stick to your ideals and "do unto others" in purchasing a new Lexus.

If so, then yes - everything in life is a negotiation.  That's a pretty blanket assumption that does not leave room for circumstance, and doesn't really apply to the OP's question about offering less than the stated price for an item - which for most of the posters who have responded here, IS negotiation.

Shopping around is not a negotiation.  (My own website encourages gents who do not like my stated policies or prices to "please contact someone else".)  Making informed and budgeted purchasing decisions is to be expected.  Negotiation would be trying to get more for the stated price, trying to pay less than the stated price, etc.

If our only disagreement is the application of the term negotiation, then this whole conversation is a waste of time.

I think most of the ladies in this post have said exactly that.  Hagglers are PITA's, and we simply won't see them.

No, my expenses increase when I travel, and the market is different where I travel - my services are worth more.  (You can say there is just one global market, most businesses recognize it is not that simple, there are many markets within the global market and success is based on being knowing the right market segment for your product/service.)  There is a reason I've never traveled the mid-west and stick to major metropolitan coastal areas.

And again with the insistence that any transaction is a negotiation.  If you want to define it that way, fine.  However you ignore the obvious - as directly related to the OP's post - negotiation in this conversation are about not being willing to pay listed price, and asking for discounts or special concessions.  You want to make this conversation more than it is... but it simply isn't.

You are exchanging the term negotiation for transaction.  Again, you are talking about something other than the subject of this post and using a definition that is so wide, you miss the point of the conversation.

EVERYone in this thread does their own shopping, comparison shops, and as supplies - EXPECTS that customers will do the same.  Some of us do not negotiate at that point, and some of us ask and expects others not to negotiate with us.

Wow, I'd love to see your statistical sampling of how you came to the conclusion that most professionals will negotiate. Then again, if to you every transaction is a negotiation... then yes, I'd hazard to say ALL people, professional or not, negotiate.

Simple on the equal value.  One person charges $120/hr for window washing.  One person charges $65/hr for their lessons.  It is two lessons exchanged for an hour of the window washing.

Boy this is redundant and old.
If she needed groceries, it is her right to offer a special of $80.
You see this all the time - ladies offering specials near rent time, yes?
Sometimes even "early riser" specials because those are the specific hours that a lady would like to work before going off to school or another job.  (This isn't always about groceries.)

It is NOT your business to contact her offering a special for yourself.

Personally I don't get offended by emails offering less than my rate, I simply don't reply.

Again, I advocate everyone doing what works well for them...
Simple, beautiful, respectful.

actually I just paid for a $30,000 car and didn't negotiate. I also pay 20% tip at restaurants.

A high deductible on a doctors visit? Do you understand we're selling our bodies, not a service? I bet you're the type that would be ok with slavery back in the day...or now...not getting the point of how personal having sex with strangers OR ANYONE FOR THAT MATTER is.

I very much understand just how personal having sex is,,,,,BUT,,,,,if you're going to tell me, " Bill, give me $1,000 and I'll have sex with you, if you don't then I won't.",,,,,then it has just become a financial transaction.

When I jumped into this thread all I've said is that I often obtained a better rate from a gal just by asking for it. I don't insult or degrade or call names. If the lady refuses I move on, I don't call her names,,,,

You seem to be implying that I would be in favor of slavery,,,,,SLAVERY!!!!!!,,,,,,,,and why???????  Because I ask if a lady will see me for 300 rather than 400 dollars?????????? Am I reading that right??????

And the posts by London Rayne,,,,,,,,Her reaction to my posts, the vile language, and name calling ( not just of me, but also the women I see ) is beyond the pale,,,,,,,,

is when I think of negotiating a lady over how much she'll charge to use her body, I think of a bidders standing below a stage with slaves bidding or negotiating how much they will pay to use their body for cotton picking or whatever...sorry that was random and came out wrong,,,eom

Well, I'm sure the salesman and dealership are fans of yours. You're selling your bodies? I get to wrap it up and take it home? Who knew?

What you're selling is the definition of a service. I don't EVEN want to hear the crap about "I'm selling my body....boo hoo hoo, poor me!" You're not selling Jack. You're simply taking the comparatively easy route to make money. Now, a coal miner, some construction workers, and others, even pro football players, if anybody is selling their bodies it's them.

A fat guy with poor hygeine hardly compares to Black Lung, ruptured disks or concussions. Get over yourself.

LOL Slavery? You girls really do get hysterical if anyone DARES do anything other than bow down and praise you. I don't think slaves got an envelope on their nightstand when Massuh came visitin in the night - you look ridiculous making such a comparison.

Comparatively easy route to make money?

This business can be a joy, and it is also extremely difficult.

How about comparing those risks of Black Lung, ruptured disk, and concussion to -
stalkers, violence, assault, robbery, arrest, social stigma, loss of personal relationships up to and including child custody, even murder.

There are serious risks here, and even for the lucky, serious impacts to the way we are able to live our lives.  Despite what anyone thinks, this is not "easy money."

you've already put time and money into that provider. I always hook up men I have been seeing a while, but if a new guy tried to negotiate my rates, his mail would go unanswered.  You want to pay less for the same amount of work? That won't happen. I will offer extra time, but will never lower my min. rate. I also do a lot of off the clock time with select gents who have PROVEN to be as such. Newbies really have not earned the right to ask for a damn thing, and I don't mean to sound so condescending but it's true. We give you a discount the first time and may never see you again, so not happening.

We don't owe you shit, so you might want to deal with it and wonder why the women you see do give you discounts so freely...hmm, they might NEED the money lol. I don't...so sorry babe. I am the number one BITCH on this board, and do you see how many reviews I have and that they keep a coming? Nuff said. How ya like them Apples?

Your attitude suggests that all hookers are just dumb nitwits with no other way to make money, so we must adhere to your requests...ha ha fkin ha! Here's a clue...women who don't need to be here, will always charge what they want so you may as well stick to what you can get. The funny thing is you review women in the damn OC which is expensive as hell to live in, and you still want to bitch about discounts? Fkin priceless! You board boys really crack me up sometimes with your nonsense. Guys with the big bucks, usually don't waste time arguing with hookers on fk boards honey.

If I have to cut my fee in half just to have the so eloquently stated title of "ATF" you can keep that shit lol. I am not here to fall in love or win hooker of the year...I just want the same thing most guys do. No drama, and NSA sex. Take your whining to Italy and grab some cheese to go.

....I swear to you some of the worst penny pinchers ARE IN FACT men with money/well-off.

about the price of ass, you need to just stfu lol. Most people can't even afford to live in those areas at ALL, so sounds to me like some guys should not be hobbying if they can't afford the price of admission. There is always the bar or match.com for those who like to manipulate.

you've already put time and money into that provider.

Absolutely agree, but what you describe IS a negotiation. You offer your services, he counters, you decline.

I see. You negotiate to maintain market share but don't feel it necessary to increase market share. OK, that's a strategy. Doesn't seem like a sound one, but if it works for you that's all that matters.

increasing market share isn't my goal. Less men who spend more money is and what works for me,,,helps me stay fresh and not worn out like I have been in the past when trying to take on the most friends possible...just not my route in this game.

...get requests for discounts often. If a very well-established client asks for a discount, most can agree this isn't nearly as "insulting."  But the reality is we don't live in a culture where haggling is commonplace - particularly with luxury or specialty services.

Your idea of flexible pricing, Impliedfoldeq, sounds nice in concept but the bad apples would probably ruin it for everyone. I offer "clock-free" pricing, which is a happy medium IMO.

The disconnect comes in when a lady gets a random email from a random guy unknown to her asking for a discount because he is handsome, rich, a celebrity, a well-known reviewer or thinks he is special for some other reason. I don't find it insulting per se, but he won't get a discount (and depending on his tone he may not get an appointment either). Why?
A client who demands special treatment from the first contact will probably demand more, more and then some more. These "energy vampires" are mentally and physically exhausting to deal with. Of course the inquirer may genuinely cannot afford a lady's fee, but who has time to flesh that out? Some gents forget hiring a companion is a luxury service - not an entitlement.

With that said, if a lady is constantly inundated with discount demands her marketing needs a serious overhaul.

What i know is this... I buy things at a price I can afford point blank. IF I can't afford it I work more and save or do with out. I plain old don't like haggling. The only way I would was if it was something important like medical care or something of that sort. I'm sure this is a matter of my pride but i would feel like a beggar and like I'm  trying to play outside my league. I'm sure its a product of my upbringing but i take pride in holding my own and paying my own way. Also, I don't"think" most providers take to kindly to this because by virtue of us entering this business... shows a level of resourcefulness.  "We" aren't asking for discounts we found  another way to make money to afford our lifestyles. My day job wasn't enough soo... I am here lol.

Of all the topics that get beaten into the ground on this board, nothing beats this one for getting some folks riled up.

Ladies who insist the client should pay full price are being both presumptuous and somewhat short sighted.  Lets break this down into cold, analytical terms. What is being bought is sex and companionship (amongst other things such as affirmation).  What is being sold is risk and time (again I know there are other things the ladies are actually selling, but there costs rest chiefly in these two areas).

The ladies who stridently insist that a customer should never negotiate a rate are making the minds of a lot of other ladies up for them. Now I don't negotiate with the ladies, but if I were a provider, there are times when I would negotiate. Lets say that I am touring and have an 11 am and a 7 pm set for the day. A prospective client calls and says he'd like to see me at 3 for an hour but can only pay X less than my going rate. I can then make the decision on whether or not I want to make the decision on whether or not I want to fill that hole in my schedule. And quit frankly I'd rather be the one to make that decision than allow the other providers to make that decision for me.

Now does this mean that I would give license to prospective clients to berate or repeatedly ask, going up $10 at a time like an ol chest at an estate auction?  No. But I don't think there is anything wrong with a quick email apologetically asking if a lady would be willing to meet for x, and providing the name of a reference and a time to meet so the lady knows ur serious about meeting HER as opposed to just being out there casting for whomever.

Just my opinion.

IF I ever did negotiate, you can bet your ass it would not be MSOG/GFE like I offer now. You want a cheap rate....no problem. You can have a bj and a fkin happy meal at the Holiday Inn. There...that was easy.

We can too...I will take offers but for less time and services get chopped too. These guys want top shelf for bargain prices...can't have it both ways.

The reason I jumped into this thread is to offer my opinions regarding discounting. If you have been reading this thread you surely have seen how some posters seem to be trying to intimidate or shame anyone who dares to engage in a little good capitalistic foreplay.

Do NOT be intimidated!!!!! Negotiating a better rate can be done and is being done all the time. Don't let those who call you a cheapskate sway you.

Here is what I do,,,

I will read some reviews, find some ladies to whom I am attracted and write to them. I tell them how much I am attracted to them. And why. I compliment them on their looks, their reviews, their personality whatever it is that caused me to write in the first place.

I then tell them that I would like to see them. And,,,,that my financial comfort zone is "x". Is there anyway they can work with that number. I offer to fill in for a last minute cancellation, I offer an early AM session or a late night session which may not otherwise be booked. I give her my number and tell her to call me if she thinks we might work things out. I then thank her for her time and tell her I hope we can meet someday.

Some women have never answered my e-mail, some do and yell and curse at me for having the gall not to be willing to pay her asking fee, some write back and very politely refuse, and then some,,,some have written back and we have had some great sessions.

The point is,,,,,,if you listen to the London Raynes of the world you would think that asking for a discount is just about the rudest, crassest, most obnoxious behavior in the world. Its not.

If you choose to just pay what the lady asks,,,fine,,,but if you feel inclined to ask for some financial consideration,,,,go for it,,,,don't let some naysayers discourage you.

But do you expect top shelf service for that discounted price?

What you miss is MANY guys here actually consider we have families and bills to pay, and find it utterly repulsive to try and negotiate with us. Sorry, you are some mental retard who only sees hookers as cum dumpsters, but I bet most see you as a broken ATM too. I don't have a problem with fktards trying to lower my fees...they know better. If this is only a game to you about getting a lower rate, then by all means keep doing it. That is the very reason more and more providers do away with offering hourly dates...weeds out the shit that way.

So yes guys, do take his advice and find some girl who is barely making the rent to give you a discount...pathetic.

You don't want to appear as someone cheap because if the lady has other resources, why would she book with you again? Ex. She is doing this for extra income or she has friends already who pay her $1000/multiple dates a few times a month, she will just get in the habit of filtering out those who ask her to negotiate for $300...yes it happens more than you think...especially when she is a beautiful gem who doesn't show her face but is gorgeous. Why negotiate? Instead...maybe send an email and say "I would like to spend time with you, but I notice you don't offer a 90 min rate...or maybe I didn't notice it. I apologize if I missed something on your site. I'd love to spend time with you for many reason...by chance is your 90 min rate for $300?"

You seem clueless, not like a jerk negotiating. And if she's really in the need of money and to negotiate, she;ll do it. If not, she won't...which she wouldn't then ever because most people (think businesses) who negotiate only do so if they need the money...so move on.

Good luck!

Good point, this is a good way to approach it.

Yes,,,,,if a lady is so popular that she is turning people away then it is unlikely that she will be open to dropping her rate.

But we live in a time of economic uncertainty,,,,,and there are women,,,many women who would rather make something rather than nothing,,,,

And again,,,if you read London's rant you would think that only the most desperate women, the ugliest of the ugly, the most diseased of the diseased would dare to stoop so low as to,,,,dare I say it?,,,,,offer a discount??????

Not true,,,,, in the past two months I have had 3 ladies with whom I have had wonderful sessions. They were very happy to have the business,,,very very happy. They were very attractive, engaging and sexy as all get out.

And I have repeated with all of them, one of them twice, one three times and the one in Phoenix will be my third trip there.

There are lots of ladies here with whom you can spend 500, 600 900 or 2,000 dollars on. And I'm sure the guys who patronize these ladies have a great time. AND,,,by the same token, there are lots of ladies who will charge $300 and are just as sexy, lovely etc etc. To listen to people like London talk,,,,,,she'd have you believe that anyone charging less than she is charging is a skank, and ugly as sin.

OK, here's an analogy,,,

I'm in the hearing aid business. The markup on hearing aids can be quite high, as much as $2500 per aid.Or I know people marking them up as low as $500.

I have a neighbor who recently bought hearing aids and paid $7500 for the pair of them. ( My price for the same aids is $6000 ). He asked me what I would have charged him for the aids he got and I told him.

His response was " yeah, but mine are top of the line". So I told him, " Joe, mine are the same". He said, " yeah, but mine have a three year warranty". " so do mine" I replied. " Well, I get free batteries for three years too" he added. "same here" I countered.

No matter what I said, he felt the need to justify his purchase,,,,and I understand this feeling,,,,,no one wants to feel like they paid $7500 for what they could have gotten for $6000.,,,,so he ( or we ) will justify our decision.

This field of endeavor is no different. I have seen many ladies well within my financial comfort zone with whom I've had GREAT sessions, extended arrangements, long term relationships.

And at one time I used to just pay what the lady asked for,,,and I had some great sessions with them as well. BUT,,,and this is a big BUT, the $800 ladies were NO BETTER than the $300 ladies. If I looked back on my hobbying career and listed the top 10 or 20 ladies there would be an equal mix of 300 and 800 dollar per hour sessions.

reading the boards back them, that's all I thought I could get but have learned with playing with my rates that men will book and come back to me at $1000 starting point. So no, they aren't skanks...I don't think that way,,,glad you don't as well.
