Public Service Announcement:

To all those that want to text me after mid-night, don't be upset if I text you at 5a.m. or 6.am (when I usually get up) if you have a wife or a little happy family (several do) don't be upset if I get back to you at a time when you are having breakfast with wifey or dropping junior off at school as you don't care wether I'm sleeping or not nor if i'm with my S.O., just know you text me I will get back to you!

My favorite kind of text are the ones that say "Hey" and just that, why are you texting me "Hey" at 4:50am. ? At least follow that with something.

*coughs* that will be all

Thank you

I bet I'm not the only one with a story like this....your stories below please :-D

Meet a visiting young lady who did not have a means of transportation. She used a shuttle to take her from the airport to the incall location.  She texted me several times, at various hours after we met thinking I was either a concierge or hoping I was going to volunteer to be a taxi service for her.  I tried to be as nice as I could hoping she would get the hint I was neither.  I just simply stopped responding

...who didn't think that I was married.  My wife jumped awake, thinking it might be something wrong with a family member.  I told her it was a wrong number.

The provider was mortified, but that still doesn't explain why anyone would text at 3 a.m. to someone in another city.  I get the middle-of-the-night texts in Las Vegas to a LV woman, or NYC to a NYC woman, etc.  But a 3 a.m. text to someone in another city is just rude.  That text alone crossed her off my to-do list.

not a big after hours texter but
why not turn off your alerts when going to bed with your S.O.

Did you give her the impression that you could be reached at any hour?

... and why did you have your hobby phone on the night stand, while in bed with your wife?

It has a do not disturb feature that blocks calls, texts, alerts, floods, and fires, for whatever time I set. Mines 12am to 7 am bitches. ;)

t's so simple, yet elegant. You'll wonder why you never thought of it.

You don't feel like being disturbed. You turn your phone off.

You wake up the next day. You turn your phone on again. And like magic ... your world is still there. And all of your friends, clients and other contacts are still there! They still care for you, and haven't decided to ditch you because you didn't return their texts within 2 seconds of receiving it

With ATF's with whom I have a long standing relationship.  Guess what, more often than not, due to time zone differences, it is not a problem.  Many late night conversations, often in advance of meetings.

Back in the before time, TER had a working chat function whereby late night communications with many in the hobby community that I knew well participated.  This died when they made the last website upgrade about five years ago.

Personally, I have no problem with ladies that I know texting me at any time.

I do not text providers unless asking for a date with a regular and it is not at
"Are you fucking kidding me" O'clock

I don't sleep a great deal so I do send PM's at that time for dates
