Are providers the new 1%

Many providers are now charging $350 for their services. If a provider has 3 clients in a day x 5 days a week = $1050/day or $5250/week or $21000 a month. If a provider works 10 months/year and take eight weeks vacation, this is equivalent to $210000. Anyone who makes $210000/year in the real working world, has an effective gross pay of $335,000. This places providers in the top 1% of income earners. We may be doing the doggie but the providers are marching all the way to the bank. Let me know what you think.

guesstimate how much we make. I have never seen three guys a day in my entire LIFE as a provider, nor have I ever had such a predictable or steady client flow as you suggest. Maybe for a full time provider who just puts an open sign on her door, but that is not how most of us work. It comes in spurts. I might not see a single client other than my sugar daddies for 2 solid weeks, then all of a sudden I will have 4 or 5 guys want to book in the same week. I would venture to guess that is the way it is for many PART TIME providers. I make less than 80k, and have not made over 100k a year since 2008.

I also don't pull that in just from "London Rayne." If it were not for my agency and 2 SDs, I would probably not even make 60k from providing alone. You assuming most providers see 15 guys a week, every week, is truly absurd lol. I would say it is more like 6-8 for the average, and that is at a rate of less than 300.

I'm part-time now and I don't bring in that much money.
I would guess not all full-timers do either. It's luck to have big spenders find you or get enough volume at a good rate, it appears, in this economy.

I highly doubt any provider sees 3 clients a day unless she's an agency girl and then she's giving away 25-40% of the donation. I don't know one provider who works 5 days a week with multiple clients per day. I think LR's figures are pretty typical for all areas even though the rate structures vary widely.

And guess what? Not all providers are IRS deadbeats. Some do pay taxes so it's not fair to assume that they're all making 40% more than you because they're skipping out on taxes. Smart providers pay taxes because what the IRS will do to them is far worse than what LE would ever do.

Granted, admin assistants make less and have kids and families to support just like hookers but they're doing work that's legal and not degrading and they have medical/dental benefits which providers don't. Let me explain, although the whole figure is really none of my business.

If they did in fact make that much, you will see entry of A LOT MORE women into the industry. There is no economic barrier at all (just personal ones) for entry, and in the long run the entry should effectively bringing down the cost from current levels in this monopolistic competition. Theoretically.

But it hasn't. And there is a reason. They don't have THAT many consistent clients and things are very seasonal, unpredictable, etc. The high rate you indicated is the result of that.

Plain and simple. If providers made that much, I would see around $100/hr rates for the same service with a lot more competition. Especially in this economy.

And I can tell a lot of gals in agency work only part time. That is why they work for the agency in the first place, so the agency can set their schedule, since they only work part time.

BUT, I would imagine some VERY high end ones making up to $500,000 a year. Wall Street types.

Few providers are working as much as five days a week and getting three clients a day.

I do think there are plenty that DO make well into the six figures, but I think your math is pretty optimistic.

You what isn't optimistic, though?  The amount of time a guy who makes $200k/year has to work to afford an hour with an escort.  If you make $200k/year and you assume that there are 2000 work hours per year, that's $100/hour.  Tax the guy at 35%, and that's $65/hour.

For a guy making $200k/year to see a girl charging $500/hour, he's gotta work almost eight hours.

It's all relative.  If you live in Cleveland, $300k/year can afford you a king's lifestyle.  In Manhattan, where I'm lucky if I can get away with spending less than $100/day just to live and get around...good luck.

making just over 300K is not the top 1%, it's the top 10% at best. Top 1% are independently wealthy, fly private jets, buy mansions is fiscal paradises, throw 50K dinner parties like you and I go to the movies.
Somebody making 300K and I speak by experience, makes a comfortable living, maybe has a decent house and 2 cars and vacations 2-3 times a year but that's it, no more fancy stuff, and for that works like a slave, pays a shitload of taxes and with this new idea  that we are megarich we'll soon pay even more while the real 1% continue paying very little on their investment capital and other financial schemes.

You have to CLEAR that, but just saying. Had I been making what some assume we make, I would have retired in 3 years from providing and be set. Hmmm, been here for a while ha ha and still have at least another 2 years to go. Contrary to popular belief, not all hookers are uneducated in financial planning and investments, so not all of us are just pissing money away on bs.

If I were making 200k a year, and NOT paying taxes on any of it, I would be a baller and a barbie from all the plastic surgery I would get lol. Most of us have student loans that equal half of what a nice home would cost too. From like 2005-2007 when I was heavy with running agencies, it was nothing to make 10k a month, but that's neither here nor there. After 2008, shit changed. I am lucky to make half that now, and from 3 different sources of revenue.

If a woman is seeing in excess of 3 guys a day, 5 days a week, EVERY week, she is fkin just anyone, and not being too selective about who walks through that door. You can bet on that.

I love talking about my job with family and friends, how often do you share your job experiences? I didn't think so...

I'm sorry if "degrading" offended you, it wasn't the best choice of terminology but many providers have told me in moments of truth how they "wouldn't be doing THIS" if they could get a legal job. It seems that very few escorts love what they do, most do it out of necessity or desperation. I guess you're one of those who loves what she does and isn't doing it out of necessity to support your kids. I suppose if someone offered you a $100K per year job in a legal professional field, you'd politely decline because you love being an escort so much. Good for you but let's get real, you're in the minority.

Yes, this is a great lifestyle, traveling to so many cities, sitting in a hotel room waiting for a call, dealing with suspicious maids wondering why you need so many towels and why all these different men are going to your room. It's also great fun screening clients to make sure they're not there to bust you, wondering if this new guy you've never seen before is LE, and having a few drinks to try and calm your nerves. If you have a regular incall location, it's a thrill wondering what the neighbors think of your male visitors coming at all hours of the day and night. You don't worry about any of those things because this is a great life and you love it.

Bad choice of words on my part but it's interesting how LR knew exactly what I meant. Sorry hun but many hookers really do hate their jobs and wish like hell they could get out. If that's not you, terrific!

You don't think it is disrespectful to ask someone how much money they make, or better yet make assumptions about how much they make and then make comments based on your assumptions? So, you are at a dinner party and someone says, in a crowd, "hey, you must be making six figures by now, how come you are still driving that shitbox toyota? Oh, you're not making six figures? Why not? How much DO you make?"

I guess it goes with the 1% topic here but I bet the number of providers living in that richly rewarding world you aspire to are much less than 1%. You're correct though, they are not the demographic present on this board. That demographic has no need to post here.

I really am sorry about using the term "degrading". LR is right, a better description would be "not respected" but the point of my original comment was not to "degrade" you, it was to make it clear that 99%+ of the providers here don't find this lifestyle the cakewalk they've aspired to since they were little girls. He left the impression that you ladies are living it up and having a great time and still bitching about your income. Nope, sorry, that's not the case for the VAST majority of working girls on this board.

First most hookers are far from dumb...and VERY few have any reasons to set up a "legit business front".  Running a cash business in this country is quite commonplace...and to create a fraudulent situation by attempting to launder money is a Federal offense.  Maybe you might want to check out the fines just levied on HSBC.

I have and continue to represent quite a few gals who are hookers.  My recommendations are quite simple to follow...DEPOSIT ALL OF THE MONEY YOU EARN INTO YOUR BANK ACCOUNTS.  Makes things so much easier for all to follow that simple rule.  And then WE can go through your business expenses and properly take those that are considered "ordinary and necessary" business expenses against that income.  Not to mention the qualifications for health insurance, retirement accounts and other types of personal savings tie into this formula.  For those that have a "real plan" they can achieve those goals of getting out of this line of work at some point.  Those that want to usurp the rules and make up their own...well, they will end up here forever.  And broke!!

And in many cases the taxable income as now more accurately stated is significantly less than the gross income derived from your services.

And lastly...using friends and family to assist in laundering money is NOT a plan that I would ever suggest.  Why in the hell would you or anyone want to entangle a supposed loved one in a money laundering scheme?

And as far as determining how much a hooker makes...if she is notified of an audit...her best bet is to have followed the above without exception.  If the case ends up with CID division...I can assure you that the methods to determine what the unreported/underreported income are quite exquisite.

BUT I can tell you without exception I would NEVER sign a return with that amount of fraud.  Hopefully the guy/gal doing your returns has sufficient knowledge of your methods to make an informed decision on signing that return(s).  There are VERY stiff (pun intended) penalties on tax preparers who assist taxpayers on committing fraud.

Hopefully the day never comes that you need to explain to any taxing authority what you are trying to accomplish.  Trust me...you don't have any clue how sophisticated those nasty revenue agents really can be.  Hell, there's rumors that they use asswipes like me to educate them on how to find unreported/underreported income  :D

Not interested in changing your opinion on how you want to run this gig.  But legit businesses run them in a legit way.  And this gig is NO different than any other cash business as far as IRS or your State and local taxing authorities consider it.  Your comments suggest that you have NO intentions of running a legit business.

What you and many others fail to understand is that the impetus for proof will always fall on that of the taxpayer.  And if your number got called...and the assumption was made that you make $ 800k simply because of your convoluted attempt to launder money...good luck on that mess.

And it never has to happen.  Just sayin  :D

And hookers like you will just plod along and use luck as their plan.

As I said to LR...hopefully the day never comes for you...but to honestly think that if you end up with a "full compliance" random audit that those nice Revenue agents are going to give a shit about your measly income...you're in for a shocker!

Pay attention next March at the articles that the IRS has published on those taxpayers...such as you, where the incomes are less than $ 50k.  It's done for a reason.  Fraud is fraud whether it's for millions or simply hundreds.  Check it out...they get the same sentence!

I suspect you'll still be around here for quite some time with the "luck" plan  LOL

About every other month someone takes out their pocket calculator and posts here about how much providers make and how they should handle it.

That's a fun party for you?
LOL that would not be a fun dinner party for me, no. But this isnt a dinner party. Its an anonymous internet forum where everything we discuss is supposed to all be fantasy anyway.

I personally did not take offense to your post...I just thought it was absurd to assume that, but in your defense I can see why you might think that. Providers often brag about how much money they make and how many clients they see, and most of it is bs. Usually, we take the most we have EVER made and claim that's what we can get on a regular basis, and it's simply not true lol.

It's like the stripper claiming she makes 3k every night just from dancing and does not escort on the side...bs! She made 3k one night in 4 years lol.

In reality the numbers don't matter because income does not have anything to do with net worth.  It matter more with how much a person spends than how much they make.  If a individual makes one million dollars a year but spends 1.2 million a year they are not rich per say even if it appears so for a while.  I think we have seen several lottery winners that prove this.  On the other hand I have seen people who make minimum wage and support kids and live comfortable lives.

I have always been curious about people who ask about other people pay.  Usually it means they are unhappy with their own income situation.  I personally only hope the ladies that partake int he hobby make an amount that lets them live comfortably as they see fit in their area.

There are "business expenses" for sure; but nothing like the percentage a common manufacturer, service industry, or retailer endures.

In the last thirty years I've seen all sorts of industries born, burgeon, plateau, or die. But the 'Worlds Oldest Profession' has only increased in relevance.

I told you then the same thing I have said here.  None of that is material to the issues of income...reporting of that income...or more importantly having loved ones involved in a money laundering issue.

You see the comments that WOTW made...there's a reason hookers like her are here after at least five years...and why she'll still be here in another five years.  And with still NOTHING to show for any of this.  And what's worse...there is NO statute of limitations on fraud.  But the gals who are scared of this...like WOTW...seek to bury their heads in the sand and hope that "luck" will be their game plan.

I know that you are smart...but don't ever think that you're smarter than someone whose sole purpose is to find unreported/underreported income.  That would be an extremely naive stance to take.

My recommendation is to interview three other CPA's locally and see what those professionals recommend...if you give a shit about your assets and ass.  The most that would come out of those interviews is that you'll be smarter...and safer  :D

You also know that I've had to turn away the hookers like WOTW who simply don't and won't get the way to play this game.  But you also know that I've had more than the average number of clients that have retained my services to show them how to achieve the goals they seek.  And they are able to sleep at night knowing they have complied with the laws...and can demonstrate to potential lenders that they are financially a viable credit.

This approach has allowed those ladies to exit this world with triple A credit...money for retirements...and a clean conscience.  Unfortunately not enough CPA's are interested in representing the escorts out here  :(  And many end up with the H&R Blocks and Jackson Hewitt's...which my guess is who WOTW is using  LOL   Kind of like the johnnie boys who wonder why the BP gals aren't like the TER gals!

I totally agree with CPA. If the IRS suspects that you ate under reporting your income, they have several methods for estimating what they will claim is your true income. One of the easiest is the "means" test. They examine everything you own and have purchased and then it becomes the taxpayer's responsibility to prove how they were able to afford all of that on the amount of income they reported. As CPA stated, if they suspect fraud or money laundering, it becomes a whole new ball game. Now instead of a simple tax audit, it changes to a criminal investigation and you had better have competent legal and tax advisors assisting in your defense.

So you speak for everyone huh? Well I guess I'm in the minority. I love being a companion. The money, The power, The sex (when it's good) and The thrill of not knowing who's behind the door. Even the maid being suspicious excites me. Ask London. She's one of my good friends and knows how I really feel about being a companion. I lol'd at the world "lifestyle" in your post. This is a job, not a lifestyle. Why yes this business has it's fair share of fucktards but the good guys outnumber the bad.

Being a prostitute is a great lifestyle huh? Your concept of a fun life is skewed way off the norm. Granted, admin assistants make less and have kids and families to support just like hookers but they're doing work that's legal and not degrading and they have medical/dental benefits which providers don't. Add up those benefits and the admin assistant is still better off. Now I know where LR's definition of fucktard came from.

What does it mean to be a provider? Tis the question.

A provider making 335,000 - 210,000 a year is a slave to the money and that is not to be mistaken as a 1%.

I find that many of these providers lack business sense and are actually losing their relative financial base to these young ladies and new vagina's so to speak.

Lets assume a regional provider  "makes her business claim". To cohort her clients, there has to be essentially three types of consumers. Hobbyst, newbies aka those just wanting to try, and repeats. In order for a provider to sustain a reliabe financial base she has to cater to all.

So lets assume she does just that and then established a "place of work". Well it has to be somewhere that the volume wont attract LE or other low class providers competing with her so the average hotel expense will be about 120/night ...essentially  600 for the week not including meals. Now this is where you add the supply and demand of the sex market. So right now she will spend 28000/YR dollars in hotel expense and that is not to include the rent they have for their actual home. So essentially a provider is paying 2400 a month to maintain a 5 day/wk job. Now this may not be anything compared to the assumed 21000 a month, but most providers in this region are not pulling that in. Why..?

Well lets go back to their clients. Let say Paretos principle or for you under educated the 20/80 rule, can be applied. Essentially a providers 80% gain has to be facilitated by a small niche of clients. i will post a link instead of trying to explain it away http://www.bsu.edu/libraries/ahafner/awh-th-math-pareto.html.

Now here in this region economic will not support this unless a provider taps in to the right clients. Hobbyst are out, this idiots are dumb enough to post experience and damn near compete with other hobbyst in penis envy about the doggie and the mish and blah blah. Every time I read a review that has that type of stuff it is equivalent to saying "yeah I nutted in her face now see what I can do" Imagine some of the providers endorse this/ encourage such reporting for the sake of new customers. This is where the newbies come in or jack rabbits. These guys are coming to plow and really become the 80% for the providers and they ar enot dependable. Lastly the legacy sit back and share info a little more discreetly but even they get caught up in the swag of revealing their ambivalence.

Agencies that offer better protection to high end customers are soliciting their ladies for 300/hr GFE to 400 GFE which includes an experience alot better than your typical average back page provider. Those ladies that join agencies typically cherry pick after 6 month service to gain a base and they immediately raise there wages.  A client is silly to pay anymore than 300/hr for an agency and completely stupid to pay 200 for a back page provider just to drill her an no GFE.

So to become a 1% you have to find the gentlemen..not hobbyist, jack rabbits, or legacy that are actually willing to spend in excess for service that is not riddled with lips tasting cock and cum, vagina's so open that penetration is relative, poor incall, two call systems that insults peoples intelligence, and a business sense too dumb to turn the phone off when they have a customer.  I have not seen a lady of this caliber outside of an agency.

You see I can say this with confidence because I am a 1% client, that is too educated to play the silliness.

Now a !% provider, is smart enough to not let a client cum in her mouth.
A 1% provider is smart enough to to put disclaimers of discriminations...it would be easy for a client to set her up just by being vindictive.
A 1% provider protects her 1% client from the trivial pursuits of hobbyist, jack rabbits, and legacy

I could keep going but I am starting to feel smug

usually have enough common sense NOT to go spending tons of cash, buying cars, houses etc. Some of you make it sound like every hooker is blowing 200k a damn year, and that is far from the case. Where did that money come from? Fkin duh...the legit business she works in! How about a rich, single sugar daddy who is willing to say in open court that he supports her and has the backing to prove it? If a provider has a lien on every thing she owns, she looks like she is freaking broke and living paycheck to paycheck, and guess what....that is the income she has to claim! The income that goes to paying off these bills every month or any other expense. You can't trace cash at a department store honey...I don't exactly give them my mailing address.

You can't really dispute credit card receipts so as long as what you spent, you are claiming no one is looking at you. If I hand my dad 20k in cash and he writes me out a freaking check to by something, exactly WHO is being looked at?

Many of us know what we are doing, thanks or we would have been in jail long ago. I was audited once and the reason had nothing to do with hookerland! It had to do with money from a lawsuit I was not aware I had to pay taxes on, because the Attorney said money for medical bills could not be garnished!

My mortgage is not in my name, my SUV is not in my damn name, the ONLY thing that is in my name are a big debt of credit cards and student loans and that's another thing.... When you are in school for at least 12 hours, have you any idea how much money the govt sends you in addition to your tuition and books? Enough to claim as income, that's how much. Many providers are also MARRIED...duh, they claim they "don't work" at all, and the hubby takes care of them.

And I'll just cite your comment on handing dear old Dad $ 20k to help "launder" your money.  Ugh...the rules state that if dear old Dad is "gifting" you $ 20k he needs to pay the Gift tax on that transaction.  BTW the limits on gifts for 2012 is $ 13k.  And if dear old Dad gets pulled into your money laundering scheme...he needs to show where that $ 13k came from.  It can get pretty nasty when that shit starts.

Sorry to bring up the laws on how to play this game...but some of us have seen how the game really is played.

And you haven't...YET.

But I've listened to so many people dream up their own ways of how to play...and think they really have a clue.  And they are right...until the Pros get to them.  Then they find out the hard way they didn't know WTF they were doing.

So as I said earlier...find some nice competent CPA's who understand the issues...and tell them the story you're sharing here.  I trust that they'll be forthright with you and give you some decent advice.  From the story you've said here...the advice thus far stinks!

why you think he would have to pay taxes on that money AGAIN? If he writes out a check to ME, maybe I would have to pay taxes on such a high amount yes, but not if he writes it out to a car dealership babe. Car is in his name as the lien holder....done deal. Bottom line, I am not looked at that closely by the IRS because I do pay a substantial amount of taxes, and as I said...I look broke as hell with all the liens I have that suggest I can't afford to pay for a thing on my own lol.

You are talking about cases where people are making a shit load of money and purchasing things, they can't possibly deny. What am I purchasing? Not a damn thing lol. Anyone with 2 years of income can get a home loan, and that down payment amount will determine how much of a loan they can get. As long as a provider has one legit job that she is actually showing income for and NOT trying to launder thousands per month that does not add up, I think you're being paranoid.

I have NEVER heard of an independent provider busted for tax evasion...NEVER. I have seen agencies and madames go down many times though. Hmm...why is that? You're making it sound like any provider who has two jobs is automatically laundering money, when that is not the case. So what if a few hundred bucks are claimed from something else...we are not talking about thousands here. I would never be that damn stupid, but if a guy hands me over 20k cash and I don't report ANY of it, how is one to know about it to being with? If all I do with that money is go shopping for shoes and handbags, where is the paper trail? There is none because I paid CASH, and the store did not ask my damn name.

Well, well, well. Thank you Ms. London for your insight. I never thought that my innocent observation would generate the longest review that I have ever seen! I do believe that some of the providers are incredibly beautifu, wellcoming, and do fall within the 1%. I typically anwhere between $200 to $350 for a provider. I do cap at $350. I do not think that the economics justify $400 per hour.

Pirate, I do disagree with you. I have come across providers who could find some work if they were interested in working. However, many choose to remain in the business because of the easy lifestyle that it provides. I know of a Licensed Practical Nurse who does parttimne nursing because of the unpredictable shifts, long hard work of cleaning patients, and dealing with unruly supervisors. She prefers to travel one week a month and provide escort services. The money for her is easy, not taxable, and gives her great comfort. How many of us truly spend one hour with these providers. I can barely keep pumping for 15 minutes. At 30 minutes, we are engaged in a conversation and I am about to leave. This may be a reflection of my age. Many of the upscale providers to well, but I believe that there is pressure on their wages from the illegal immigrant providers, especially latinas and eastern europeans.
