People who suffer from bouts of mania and depression usually do things that are not part of their everyday life or personality. When mania hits, they might gamble, shop like crazy, drink, use drugs, have sex FOR FREE, etc. I can't see a provider doing more p4p during mania...she would most likely do things that are NOT common traits of her personality, which would cause depression after the mania, because it would be something she is not proud of doing. Most providers have no issue with taking money to fk married men.
