This memorable line from the movie "Fridays" comes to mind when I try to figure out why my clients are not following up on the reveiew they said the would submit.

Of course we all know that reviews are like double-edged swords. Graphic, revealing, invasive yet traffic driving marketing power houses.

I've wanted to post this issue for quite sometime now. But, I didn't want to appear like I was complaining. However, I would like to know why so many clients offer to submit reveiews and then drop the ball and you never see it.

I have had at least 5-7 guys say they would submit a review of our session together and they never materialize. Is everyone that busy? Or maybe an epedemic proportion of memory lapse has occurred. Regardless, I would ask that unless you are serious about submitting a review...please don't OFFER to or even agre to it. Just say "no" if its a problem. That way, I won't look for it and be let down when I never see it.

Hope you are all having a great holiday season and look forward to  the 2005 year of excellent service with a smile....or leer...

...because, as a customer, I have always felt awkward about submitting a review. It always seemed a bit... ungentleman-like... like "bragging to your friends" after a "conquest" back in high school/college.

Even though I know this is an entirely different situation, I still get that "bragging asshole" feeling when submitting a review.

That said, I've reviewed every provider with whom I was successfully able to, if you'll excuse the euphemism, "break the plane of the goal".

Thank you for letting us know that many of you WANT the reviews.

I'm not suggesting that this is true in your case, but I post a review if my experience is either very good or very bad. Anything in the middle range and I'm not inspired to write. And twice I have been asked if I would put up a review, said yes and then failed to do so because I couldn't give a 7 or higher in the categories. I had been treated nicely by the provider but upon reflection something was less than positive but I still didn't want to be negative about her, but also didn't want to BS other guys.

so much so that I have asked staff to remove my auto renew for my VIP account. I will see enough providers to keep it current...but if not.....well....I get tired of taking the time to post a review, have it turned down for some $%^*&#%^#*^#^@ reason, and not get a response to my questions/comments from staff.

Most of the reasons that are given for denial are BS. The big one is 'bad web site' but when I go to that site, I access it first try.

Try not to get so upset my dear....maybe these men are having the same problem as I? Hugs/kisses.....Oz

Make sure your link is correct, first.  Next, if staff does not reply to your request for guidance, keep emailing them.  If that fails, post a complaint -- they are only human and can screw up with the best of us, but I have never had a review turned down if I kept asking for an explanation.  MA

I agree that reviews are a marketing powerhouse thus despite the invasiveness I do appreciate them however I also know that it is up to the client. On those few occasions when it has been discussed my feelings I have passed on to the client are simply this. I do appreciate the reviews for the marketing advantage but it is up to the client if he posts one. I only ask one thing, that it be honest.

I've had a paid membership on here for two years or so, on and off (membership time lasted at least 18 months). I have only written reviews upon request or prior approval. I have never had one review approved here. Always some bull excuse. I repeatedly verified information and replied to staff objections only to hear nothing or the same stupid objection. At the time of the reviews, I was a paid member and was not seeking a free VIP membership through reviews. Personally my time is valuable to me and my life does not depend on this board. I will also never agree to any influence to what I write. Reveiws sat in the pending status and after several multiple attempts at approval and subsequent rejection I said "fvck it"!! "I don't have the time to put up with bullsh$t"!

I explained this to the ladies that asked for reviews and they understood. Apparantly I wasn't the only one that had a similiar experience.

So ladies, please please don't always think it's a "beat it bitch" attidude why you are not seeing a review.

I have only posted a few reviews but never had any declined--this isn't meant to be negative, but did you read the rules for writing the review beforehand?

Carol,

There probably wasn't any malicious intent on the part of the gentleman who didn't follow through with a review.  Sometimes, when a man's in the heat of the moment or the afterglow, he'll agree to about anything, but later, he'll change his mind. I've always followed through with a review when I've been asked to write one, but I can understand how a promised review can fall through the crack.

There are many reason's. For me personally I kind of feel like mentioned in another post, like I'm bragging or being a blow hard. What goes on between two consenting adult's is private. Actually the more graphic the review's the more of a turn off it can be. One provider that I was seeing and really liked a lot had quite a few review's, most were good, all high rating's. The more I read the more I felt how screwed up the situation was. As hard as it is sometime's to remember, or want to remember for that fact, that it's just a service, just business, you occationally develop feeling's. The last thing I wanted to read about was how this guy was doing this with her and this other guy was doing that with her. It really sucked, of course you know your not "THE GUY" for her but damn it sure ruin's the fantasy. Even though I didn't want to add to the bullshit I left her a review. For me I know reading the review's have had a negative effect on my performance in a few situation's. Pressure to want to perform like a porn star to keep up with the crap you've read in other review's can have a negative effect on a guy. I'd be willing to bet that any of the guy's here that have a favorite provider wishes he could have her all to himself. Why advertise how good she is? That's being selfish I realize but if you were a prospector hunting for gold and you luckily hit the mother load are you going to tell everybody where it is? A recent provider that I saw was hounding the hell out of me to post a review for her all through the session, a good one. To be honest if I were to leave a review it wouldn't have been that great. I guess I probably should have to warn other customer's of what they're in store for but that seems kind of mean. She was high pressure, her price's changed from her review post, the damn agency guy come's to the door to collect money from her before we got started, she laid a guilt trip on me about why she was doing what she did, it was somewhat rushed. I left her a decent tip realizing I wouldn't see her again, once to my car I slit my wrist I was so depressed, just kidding. From now on I'll leave a post for a provider I've seen but I'm not going to follow suit like I have in the past with all the graphic detail's. The most important thing these review's are for is to let other customer's, (I hate the term hobbyist), know if a provider is legitimate, not a rip off or scam. The rest is up to them to find out, not everyone has the same chemistry.YMMV

A lot of times writing a review is a pain. Maybe I'm not an expert - or my A.D.D kicks in, but it's hard for me to fill in all the details. I'm not a great writer, and it's difficult to put my experience into the written word. I also feel that if the review is going to be mediocre and it might be better to keep it to myself. I have been almost harassed by a well know provider that kept wondering where my review was - when I gave her a lower score than she wanted (an 8)it got slightly awkward, to the point that I dare not call her again, even though I enjoyed the time with her. That said, I have always put in a review if I felt like the provider wanted one - I would find the time. But soemtimes they get kicked for not being explicit enough - so then I go back an throw in some more. I do have a question though....at what point does a provider have too many reviews - or is there such a thing. See how I ramble? I also realize I now need to use an alias.

I guess it shouldn't surprise me, except the first provider I ever saw, who was a well-reviewed lady, adamently insisted that she didn't like them, didn't like the invasion of privacy.

Two years later, I saw other providers, and I haven't heard that re-expressed.  I've written reviews of every session I've had this year, but even then, I'm behind... though not on this board.

Some reasons why guys won't or can't follow up:

1) They under-estimate the work.  It took me 9 hours in my spare time to write my last review.  It wasn't all work, though, I went solo about a dozen times before I finished.  Most guys are married, so this is not an option, but most guys wouldn't work at it the way I did.

2) Writers' block.  Had that really bad after a mind-blowing session with NetMichelle.  I got stuck in the general details just trying to describe how she looked.  It took about six weeks and two other sessions before it cleared...

3) "The burden of it": It devastates a provider to receive an 8 on performance now.  A 7 for an A-list provider is almost a marketing fiasco.  Inflationary pressures are extreme now.

Those are some explanations.  However, some guys just want advanced credit for writing reviews of you, and then afterward their commitment to write them just evaporates into laziness and the distraction of other concerns.

Hi Zin, by "bragging" I just meant telling anyone that I "did her" at all (I have already discovered that if you leave out the dirty details, your review gets rejected).

Real bragging would be out of the question since I have no doubt that my pathetic performance is already legendary on the super-secret-provider-only board that all the ladies pretend doens't exist.

But if you think about it, what you write in the prose should take precedence over the numbers given.  A string of 9's or 10's are quite the attention getter, and it's what guys see before they start reading.  I wish it were reversed, but that's the way our minds work.

I don't understand giving a woman a 9 or a 10 and then writing a tepid, one paragraph, 80 word review in the juicy details.  I guess it earns you your 15 days.  If it's a 9 or 10 for me, I have trouble keeping it to the proper length.

My last review, in which I gave the lady a 10/10 (TER changed the performance to a 9), had to be cut, cut and cut again just to fit in the form. I could have written about her for days.
