I will confess to being a "pussy" addict though. and that's something I have not a bit of problem living with.

I mainly read this board to marvel at how awful some of you are to each other. in particular I love the Stockholm syndrome symptoms some of you show for your abusers.

I'm a sex addict, and I can have this open on my phone and typing and I can't have problems if I'm nearby someone and they can get a glimpse of my screen as there are only words and someone would have to pick up my phone and examine closely to know what this site actually is. This is advantageous if I'm at work, a restaurant, the Country Club, a bar, the DMV pretty much anywhere. And when I'm traveling I can view it even larger on my IPad. I especially enjoy it at an Airport when I can fantasize about the hottie sitting across from me at the gate while reading a review and picture her in my mind doing those things. It's cool, funny, interesting in the boards to see other people's opinions and coments to subjects. And the added bonus that no one knows who you are is cool too, so I can just be myself. It's not so easy to be yourself and say what you really feel when you are in a professional or personal environment. So, this is kind of an escape, for me anyway.

That may be why I liked That 70's Show so much. I was in high school then and that is what we did. In my circle we were all guys so we usually started talking about girls. but it would go to every subject under the sun. I recently started my first thread and reading the post sent me right back. Even though we disagreed and some took low blows and name-called we left friends.

I spend most of my time on the GDB reading along and laughing at the overly sensitive, brutally angry and hopelessly romantic (read:clueless) majority while  nodding my head and thinking "this guy or gal really gets it" only a pitifully small percentage off the time.  Does it bother me? Nah, this board is the "entertainment" section.  When I want info I read the reviews or PM folks that have a track record that I respect.   The rest of it is just for fun...

a review of a particular visit I had that blew me away, and moved me to post.  
I decided to stick around a bit and see how friendly folks are, so far so good, seems like a decent bunch.

The only reason at this point for putting up the incessant abuse and interference I can think of comes from the fact that after filtering through the majority of hate-mongering, caustic sludge, I've actually met a handful of absolutely wonderful people around the country, some of whom I consider friends.  Some of the mutual connections and shared experiences are so amazing, it's downright scary to consider the odds of it occurring.  
Many of the connections between us will never see the light of day (or acidic open-posting responses) for really good reason.  
Once upon a time, a lady warned me about the dangers of acting like a reasonable, normal, caring human being here, and she was certainly correct.

I don't post often, but do read the boards for all the amusing characters: the group that acts like a clique of middle school girls rigidly trying to enforce their notion of what it means to be cool; those who feel compelled to post their itineraries daily as if the readers of this site are breathlessly waiting to learn who and where the posters are fucking today; the masochists who post knowing they will be subject to abuse; the rage-filled posters who sling invective in every direction; and even the occasional thoughtful, articulate poster making some intelligent observation.  It's like every day is Thanksgiving dinner with the world's most dysfunctional family.

Fun and mindless. For me it's a 'break' from 'reality'. Works for me when I need it to and yes the MOST dysfunctional family in the world I'm quite sure. But cute nonetheless.

Besides that, it's highly entertaining. We have tough guys, we have manginas young and old (mostly old). We have old washed up hookers (mostly), and some young hot ones. We have some intelligent   people on both sides while some are mildly retarded or chemically impaired for life.
Best of all we have trolls and wise guys.
