In the black band across the top, It says "My TER"  "REVIEWS" and "MESSAGES."  Next to "MESSAGES" it used to say "DISCUSSION BOARDS."  All you had to do to get to the discussion boards was click the words "Discussion Boards."

 
Now if you want to get to the discussion boards, you have to click on the three little horizontal lines (it's called the "hamburger menu" - I did not know that!).  Then you can click "discussion boards."  It's an unnecessary extra step.

 
It's not like they needed the space in the black band for a more important link.  They haven't replace "Discussion Boards" with anything; it's just blank space.  The only thing I can think of is that TER wanted to make access to the discussion boards the same for computers as it is for cell phones.

No change for me with my clunky old PC.  Could be something being phrased in, or, some layout and menu testing.

... to access TER?   The full band of top level menus is there in the web browser view.  

 
So the abbreviated menu is probably a function of your device's screen width and not a code change by TER.

"Discussion Boards"  "Site Reviews" and "Help" all disappeared from the top and I just figured out why - I somehow accidentally enlarged the type to 150% so there wasn't room for all six along the top.  I'm an idiot.

I'm browsing on a computer (not mobile) and everything is changing (messed up). Profile pages have changed their appearance. The TER main landing page has changed its layout / appearance. The big dark blue frame at the bottom of the pages (where it says "1,664,234 Review | 3,333 New Reviews | 3,600 Users Online" etc. is bigger and overlaps buttons in the frame above it: [Post Reply] [Back to Forum].

And TOO MANY recent posts and older posts are generating errors: "Discussion Board Error! The message you have requested is either invalid or is no longer active. Please email us"  Maybe some old posts are incompatible with whatever changes they've made.

Why don't they announce beta testing ahead of time?  Although, this does give me the opportunity to bring up one of my old Suggestions. If TER is going to change the Forum software, switch to OPEN SOURCE FORUM SOFTWARE.

...I just looked up what "UI" stands for.  Tomorrow I'll find out what "user interface" means.  Baby steps.
