Scott is guilty till proven innocent. That is the problem with this country. The prevailing mentality is that if you are a suspect and you are arrested that means you must be guilty.

As far as a Scott getting off on a technicality. We have an adversarial system of justice. We have rules of evidence that specifically tell the Police and other representatives of LE, how they can go about gathering evidence. If those guidlines are deviate from then that evidence will notr be admitted. For example:if there were a video tape of Scott decapitating his wife, and that tape were to be obtained illegally, then it flat out does not exist. As for me, I listened to 98% of OJ's trial and at the end, based on the evidence presented(not the evidence excluded, but the evidence admitted)I was not convinced at all much less beyond a reasonable doubt. Now had some, if not all of the excluded evidence been admitted I would have had a different opinion.

The same holds true for Scott. Let him have his day in court, then decide.

As for Mr Luster, yes he is going to do a lot of time. But because of his wealth, he will either spend all of his time in a Psychiatric Hospital, or in a minimum security prison, where if he is a good boy, he will eventually get weekend furloughs, where he can go out and get laid.

Even if he does go to a maximum security penitentiary like Corcoran, or San Quentin, his money will get him all the creature comforts he wants and all the protection he needs from Bubba and the boys.

Yeah, but that doesn't mean we can't play the "media speculation" game. Of course you could say that "trying him in the media" taints his ability to gain a fair trial but lets remember that Peterson's own defense team has chosen to plant the whole Satanic Cult idea in the public mind and THROUGH THE MEDIA no less. That they would show this amount desperation this early in the proceedings is exhibit A in the case of why he is guilty as hell. Paranoia about Secret Satanic Rituals is just about the most discredited example of public hysteria that exists in this country going right back to the Salem Witch trials. Its the legacy of those puritanical forbears. For Peterson to be grasping at this is just pathetic and the clearest indication that he feels absolutely NO remorse for what happened to his wife and unborn child.

So my point is lets not fret about Peterson getting a "fair trial". He's already fucked that up himself. I would suggest setting up an "incentive package" for the fellow inmate that brutally rapes him first. You know..put a price on his head..let him see how it feels.

even if he was to get a comfy cell, cable TV, ton of porn, and legions of admiring groupies (btw, what's the freaking deal with women who correspond with and visit serial rapists/killers in prison?? sheesh!) ... even if he was to get all this, it's not like he's "untouchable" ... rapists and especially child molesters are VERY vulnerable inside bars (the inmates "code")and are likely to get the "shiv" from anonymous inmates (it's "bounty hunting" of a different kind). remember what happened to Jeffery Dahmer?

another thing is that because of his flight from the law, he has most definitely forfeited his right to an appeal and also demonstrated that he's mentally competent and therefore can not pull a subsequent "nutjob" and land himself in a cushy psychiatric hostpital (unless he does something after he's already inside)

in short, this sick rat-f*ck-sonnova-b*tch is going to be reamed eternal, pricked probed and pokered "longtime" for all his little span of eternity. frankly, i can't envision a better form of "justice" for his kind.
