So…men should not be deterred by the CBJ boundary because a guy just might ‘get lucky’ if he gives DATY that old college try? (even if that might be pushing his own safety boundaries?); because, if he manages to please her enough he may be rewarded with the provider crossing her own safety boundaries, and returning ‘the favor’ with a BBBJ?

Umm....not doubting your experience……just strikes me as a pretty questionable message…

I actually enjoy DATY as long as the lady is enjoying herself. I am strictly speaking for myself, and anyone who doesn't enjoy DATY, or who thinks its a safety risk, shouldn't do it

I don't expect those women to whom CBJ is an absolute to all of a sudden decide to swallow every drop of my jizz in appreciation. There are many other women however who will only give BBBJ's very selectively, reserving this little treat for BF's and extremely rare clients. It has been my experience that if I give a BFE, my chances of getting a true GFE are that much higher.

The OP asked why guys give DATY to women who only give CBJ's, I gave my answer. One other point, CBJ is not a deal breaker for me. I much prefer BBJs, but I won't pass on a lady just because she doesn't offer BBJ. It is one of my criteria, but not the only criteria I use.

What you said, in essence, is: Even if a provider only offers CBJ, if you do an exceptionally good job at DATY, she may give you a BBBJ anyway.

You may clearly understand the subtleties of providers with movable boundaries. But you also know as well(presumably better) than anyone the level of comprehension around here sometimes…..

It is HOPE by doing DATY the lady will be so turn on that that she will cross her CBJ boundary.  Sort of like when the hobby ladies make their clients think with their small head instead of their big one. About DATY, as Sins above says...I enjoy it ALOT and I accept much less risk than a provider giving a BBBJ.  Its a risk I'm prepared to take while a provider may not be willing to accept the more substantial risk.

Now that level of risk is established...why is BBBJ the end all/be all???  I used to think the same thing until I had a really great CBJ...good technique is good technique and with the right condom it feels generally the same.  To be honest, the idea of getting a CBJ and then being able to move immediately to FS makes up for any subtle difference in the sensation.

One last thought...I don't think anyone is saying they do DATY just to hope for a BBBJ...if it was generally true that you could exchange good DATY for a BBBJ doesn't it follow that you could exchange GREAT DATY for uncovered FS??  Ok..maybe Greek??  Of course not...

May have something to do with it.  The risk of acquiring an STD from male seminal fluids is greater than from performing oral on a woman.  Someone posted a great pic from the CDC one time.  I wonder if I can find it....

The risks are more than enough reason for me to NOT do BBBJs. Actually it's probably why a lot of providers don't.

I can't really speak for the guys on why they DATY other than they simply want to regardless of if a provider does CBJs or otherwise.

If you really think about it, we won't be able to anything with that line of thinking. There are many risks in life and STD is only one of them. My post clearly stated "prudent" which means use common sense and do the right thing. Otherwise, we will be all living like Howard Hughes in a bubble. In the end, the bubble didn't save him either.

So, if you don't want to do BBJ, don't. Don't rationalize CBJ with STD's or try to scare others from giving BBJ because you don't. Neither side is right or wrong.

Do you think the answer will suddenly change? Do you think you will convince other men to change their behavior to fit yours? Why do you care what other men do or not do? Unless you plan on crossing swords with them, what they do on their dime is up to them, isn't it?

Perhaps the answer lies in the fact that each partner chooses the level of risk they are willing to accept. No one is obligated here. A lady is not obligated to engage in behavior she feels is too risky. Nor is any obligated to perofrm DATY if he doesn't want to. Simple as that.

But just for future reference, here is a nifty chart you might find interesting. Note the fact that oral sex performed on a woman carries only one known risk - herpes, and one possible risk, HPV. Compare that to the luandry list of potential risks associated with oral sex performed on a man.

Case closed. End of story. You accept the level of risk you are comfortable with. Let others make the same decision for themsevles.
