I have asked a couple of ladies to do what you describe (speak to me with me not understanding) and it just didn't feel right. Since it wasn't a natural flow of conversation it didn't do much for me. If they had done it on their own it would have been much better, but by requesting it it just felt forced and lost that hot quality.

It has been over 5 years now that I have not been married. I started to see someone steady almost a year later. We saw each other exclusively for 6 months until she moved to Los Angeles. Some ladies are simply stating their heritage . Does not mean they were raised in their country of origin or speak the native language.
Some are just outright lying. They've created a fake persona to make them more intriguing or in a psyco-babble way have compartmentalized their life in a certain way.

Remember how turned on Jamie Lee Curtis got by hearing John Cleese speaking Italian and Russian, even though she didn't understand a word? And by Kevin Kline reciting items from an Italian menu?
