Ok, I'm on a mailing list for a touring provider and I see in my email inbox a notification from her letting me know she's coming to my neck of the woods soon.  The problem is, she cc'd everyone on her mailing list and I now know a dozen guys real names and many where they work (who gives out their work email to providers???) as well.  Out of curiosity, I looked up one work web address and bingo...there's his picture.  If I was him, I'd be shitting bricks right now.

The provider almost immediately sends out an oopsy email apologizing for her mistake, but um...the damage is done.  Although my email is a throwaway, I'm wondering if I should make a new one now that other people have it.  Who knows what evil deeds someone can use my address for.  I'm a bit tee'd off and am thinking of not seeing this provider.

Has this happened to anyone else?

At least once a month a provider that I have seen in the past gets her computer infected with a virus that sends out spam. I see all of customers in the email.

It's because some of them accidentally DO SHIT LIKE THIS! Unbelievable.

I have a cardinal rule: I absolutely refuse to see ladies who require work info.  p411 and datecheck with 2 references aren't enough?  Well then, see ya...!! Much much later! Probably never! LMAO

NO PUSSY IS WORTH THE POTENTIAL DAMAGE SHE CAN CAUSE whether it be intentional or accidental.

I'll never understand why guys use their work e-address.  This girl (from Maine) mailing list read like the fortune 500 of New England, with an excess of university professors and employees of various railroads.

Although Im a provider and will probably catch flack from ladies who require work verification, I just dont see the need to have that info for screening purposes.  

Ive had guys initially email me from their extremely sensitive email addys (such as ivy league university deans, university sports coaches, and others in the public eye) and I just shake my head.  That is way TMI to give to someone you've never met

I would surely not let a guy know my real name until and unless I trusted him with all my being.  

People sometimes just make mistakes.  You just have to hope there was no one dangerous on the list.  Chance are, there wasn't.

On the bright side, I now know a lawyer to call if I ever get into trouble.

It goes both ways, I've had gents send me forwards (I hate those btw) with everyone in his address box and so his co workers, family, friends etc all get to see my name on that list too.  When that happens I usually send a response asking him to delete me from his contact list.
