I was wondering what steps people are taking to stay under the radar. I am not that tech savvy and do not know what are the latest and greatest s/w tools available.
I searched for threads on keeping anonymity while browsing the internet and did not really find my answer. I use TOR - but, are there other tools to mask IP addresses, etc. This way - logging into TER, a provider's website, etc. - does not log personal information etc. I forget the names of some tools that people talked about before - something 'dragon' that masks IP. In addition, are there suggested email providers other than gmail or yahoo that should be used. I tried doing a search and could not find anything other than people talking about burner phones. The amount of information gmail captures is pretty amazing. What do you do for your browser as well? Do you ever access material using a smartphone (even assuming its a burner phone)? If so, what apps do you recommend installing. Any suggestions or thoughts would be appreciated. Thank yo
But yes, that's is EXACTLY where I hide, right in plain sight.
I do find it a bit ironic that people who rail endlessly about how consenting adults are persecuted under the law don't have half the guts that "queers and stoners" do. How do you think pot and being gay ever became mainstream and legal? "someone" had to stand up and be counted and suffer the slings and arrows of a narrow minded and judgmental society, I guess "queers and stoners" have more guts than "hookers and johns" as the risks to life, limb, physical violence, jail time and being totally ostracized by family and friends alike were not only real, but commonplace. So, how'd I do??? lol
I absolutely feel we (girls) have to join together and stand for our birthright of enjoying pleasure, with freedom from persecution, judgement, shame, and guilt.
It'll happen one person at a time, until it dawns on each individual that sex and orgasms are a part of a healthy lifestyle. Each human being should be given the freedom to do what they want with their body parts. It will take a clearing away of an old programmed belief system. It will take "guts". I'm IN
The guys are going to have to come out as well and prove that we aren't a bunch of perverts (ok, not the BAD kind of pervert)or sex predators, but just normal guys, with a healthy sex appetite who don't abuse the women we pay to have sex with us.
Exactly! LE associates people using TOR with the deep dark web where all kinds of nefarious shit goes on in the web. Silk Road, where drugs, weapons and other illegal stuff was dealt online has been replaced by other sites. Yes, people still buy illegal stuff online with bitcoins, which are another LE flag. You can read up on the latest news on staying hidden online, but so can LE. There is nothing illegal about reading P4P sites, just don't try to talk to LE about it under any circumstances! Lots of people get tricked into admitting to crimes that they didn't know were crimes. Shut your mouth and use your right to remain silent. I'd avoid using TOR to hide my P4P activities. The last thing you want is being suspected of hiding something serious.

as evidence that you have something to hide.
I wonder if it isn't best to be right out in the open.
that there are few of us that are single, self-employed, and not accountable to anyone else who can stand up without fear of losing something. 80% of hobbyists are married, and don't want to get divorced, they just want to have fun. Likewise, there are many industries where being a hobbyist could negatively impact your career if it was public knowledge.
and of course no one ever went to prison for smoking pot either.
Stand up and be counted or don't, everyone has free choice, but I don't want to hear the whining from people too cowardly to do anything about it. It's just like the libs who are whining that Trump got elected, but who didn't get out there to vote. Of course I am happy about that outcome. lol I never said it was going to be easy, but if a bunch of "queers and stoners" could do it when the consequences of either were a LOT more severe than either being or seeing a hooker, those excuses ring very hollow to me.

Thank you
Apps on devices have tracking on them.I use burner phone when I'm done with working in business.I'm going to destroy phone.I don't keep clients info on my phone.I delete evrything after sesisions.....Don't need info in wrong hands.
I have had in depth conversations with more then a few Utah congress people.
I have brought it up in caucuses. I am out to my friends and family. I donate money to a few sex workers rights groups. I donated to Amnesty International when they lost donations when they came out supporting sex workers rights. I support my wife's choice to be a sex worker at a legal Nevada brothel. I have hired former sex workers even with criminal records for doing such. I rent a house to a women I know to be a sex worker. I have participated in research studies about sex work. I don't know what more I can do. I am disappointed in many of my fellow mongers especially the single ones aren't as proactive in seaking rights for sex workers. Most things that help providers helps us, and most things that help us clients help sex workers. We are two sides of the same coin. It is a shame that stoners and queers have more guts than us.
The go-to solution for email privacy seems to be Protonmail. You have to sign on with a password, then supply a second password to de-encrypt your mailbox. If both users are using it, there is an even higher level of security. Last I heard, it was the only one being promoted by Edward Snowden.
While I used to subscribe to the "why hide" philosophy, I've changed my tune on that. It's not just LE you have to worry about, but the numerous other actors who want your information for one reason or another. There is an increasing necessity for using TOR, such as ensuring privacy when logging into your own healthcare provider's Patient Portal. These necessities are increasingly making LE's "what are you trying to hide" narrative a moot point since no one can rely on an ISP, yahoo or google to protect their own information. If everyone in the community used TOR and an email service like Protonmail, something which could happen in a matter of weeks, it would be a much safer and secure community.
I don't use TOR or any type of IP masking software. I use public and private wi-fi, and my DATA connection. I surf TER and escort sites on computers, iPad, and iPhone. I don't even use a hobby phone except when TOFTT with BP gals, and then it's just an APP on my phone.
I ment no disrespect as I respect the hell out of people that live theit lives outside of social norms in an ethical manor. I used it to echo earlier language it this thread to shoe agreement. I usually use polite language as it cost nothing and can prevent misunderstandings. But there is times polite language isn't the best language to get a point across. Of groups like the LGBT community who faced more discrimination then we do can own it and win rights rightfully theirs, then why are so many here without a wife so damn ashamed of what they do? I guess two of us have, only a few million to go as you said
Naturally the earlier language you were echoing was my own. lol
I am just surprised you are starting to agree that "being polite" is not always the way to make a point, you better watch out, agreeing with me could become habit forming. lmao Back to the topic at hand. I can understand why cheaters are never going to come forward, but the single guys have no such excuse to be ashamed of what they do, unless of course they really are ashamed about seeing hookers, in which case maybe they should stop?
But I think that is the case with many single hobbyists who hide this for non-employment reasons. It is sad. If I was ashamed of this I definitely would stop. But it is what it is. Glad I am not them.
And for the record I have always felt being polite isn't always the best way to get a point across. I have many times before used rude language. In fact more than a few times I aimed rude language towards you. Thing is rude and crude language is most effective when used as an exeption instead of as a rule. No one takes note when you use rude language but you noticed when I did for example. As for agreeing with you, well we agree more often than not, but I as a rule am much more polite about it. Again it is what it is.
and I think the biggest manifestation of their shame is misogyny, you know the type that are constantly referring to "dumb hookers" and talking about how stupid, aimless and worthless women in this business are.
It must really bother some of these guys that they have to consort with such "lowly creatures" to satisfy their baser needs and that in turn manifests itself with self loathing. As for me, I am not ashamed in the least about my whore mongering proclivities and like you if I were, I would stop. but then again I don't have an "angry god" to answer to. It must be tough to be both a Bible thumper AND a happy whoremonger. lol and for the record, "politeness" is overrated, now go fuck yourself, "please" lol
