Edibles/420

I searched and found a similar thread about 7 years ago, but I'm looking for some more recent opinions.   I was wondering if anybody had experience with edibles or more traditional forms of 420 and sex.  I have only used it a couple times, once in college almost 40 years ago and once on a trip to Colorado a few years ago.  Neither instance involved sex, I was just using it as an alternative to my usual beer or wine.  Honestly, I didn't like it college which is why I never did it again.  But then with the advent of legal edibles I figured I'd give it another try.  Wasn't overly impressed with the high.  But then I started thinking about how it may enhance the sexual experience.  So I tried half a gummy (5mg) before a session yesterday.  Didn't get a noticeable high, but things definitely felt "better".  I enjoyed one of the best BBBJs of my life.  Skill, 420, or a combination of the two?  Maybe it was placebo effect.  I'll probably try it a few more times and see if there is a truly noticeable difference for me.

Anyone else have any thoughts/opinions on the matter?

Be wary of edibles. Keep in mind the process of digesting THC turns it into a slightly different chemical that is actually more potent than traditional THC. That is why people say edibles "hit different." They literally make you higher vs traditional vaping/smoking.

Be careful with edibles for two reasons. Dosage is a pain in the ass with them especially for novice cannabis users. People tend to take more than needed, and the last thing you want is to be passing out while paying top dollar for a provider. 5MG could be nothing but 10MG could be the floor, it all depends. Some commercial edibles also have a reputation for not working. Tons of people skip the decarboxylization step, leaving you with THCA instead of THC, meaning you don't get high.

Personally for these reasons I advise against starting with edibles and just smoke it the traditional way. It is way easier to control dosage with smaller puffs. The issue is of course smell and taste in your mouth but if you're looking to fool around on weed its better to find a 420 friendly provider who can help and also smoke with you.

Anyway yea weed helps with sex it can be fun.

Mj is known to be an aphrodisiac. It usually will enhance the pleasure and might even make you last longer.

With that said, I agree with the gentleman above. I never liked edibles because I like control. Edible dosage is tricky and it kicks in later and can hit as hard as a semi. I've seen people pass out and sleep for 10 hours off a big dose.
Whereas vaping/smoking you can def control it.

Personally I've found vape pens good for casual encounters.
The high is different from combusting (or ingesting), but the fact that it doesn't stick to your clothes like smoke from combusting would, meaning no one can really detect it and it can be used discreetly. I've used vape pens in building elevators, bathrooms and so forth without issues.

I microdose it’s normal out here in SoCAL, Phoenix & Las Vegas. I just did a FMTY & my new friend and I smoked 420 + ate gummies it was the best date ever! I recommend it to relax & chill, especially with a fun female.

Let me start by saying I love edibles.  I take 5mg dosages regularly to help me sleep more deeply.  You just need to take them well in advance (60 - 90 minutes) of when you want to feel the effects.  The fact that they take a while to take effect is often the reason people take too many.  They get impatient and think that the dosage is not working.

As for sex, I've had a couple of instances where I was so relaxed, that I couldn't/wasn't interested to perform.  But, others where I was able to achieve an erection and the sensation was definitely enhanced.  That said, because of the former experience, I have stopped using them before sex.  So, these results are obviously not conclusive.

Some are not aware, but indica and sativa are very different in their effects. Sativa is energetic and uplifting/euphoric mind high while indica is a couch lock body high.

I was never really into indicas except for maybe falling asleep.

Sativa is great for sex!

I indulge in hybrids. I use all kinds of hybrid edibles.

THC & CBD

Indica & Sativa

* I am a cannabis expert. I love Indica & smoke gas daily. I don’t agree with everyone who says Indica is couch lock high. I get shit done. Everyone has different tolerance levels. Check yours by practicing your dose that’s recommended that for you by consuming & waiting for the effects.

Anything you get via weed is attainable through other means, it's just the easy way to temporarily access those choices. That being said, there's nothing in weed that heightens sensation or awareness or anything of the sort.

Because of that, I mostly reject the idea of weed as medicine for healthy people. I've tried sex on weed and, well, meh, It was interesting, but I wouldn't say better than the usual. I've also never really had a strong dopamine response to weed in a general sense, and sometimes quite the opposite, meaning that it dulled the sensations of life, not really my cup of tea.

If you're left chasing the dragon from one experience, well, that's a dangerous game, and one that will rob you of joy if you're not careful. If you insist on doing so, do understand how weed functions and what it does to your body. It's very likely that one of those affects is the cause of your good experience, and being as much, reveals some disfunction in your mind/body that you can endeavor to fix.
