Eczema isn't

Just curious, how many of you guys would see someone (provider or client) who had a skin condition? Nothing insane or contagious, but I mean like psoriasis or eczema? A light case?

I get flare ups from time to time and I had an appointment for today, which I canceled/rescheduled because I wasn't sure how he'd take it. I got a small patch on my thigh and a medium sized one on my shoulder.

Would you be okay with seeing someone who had this or would it deter you?

But if you had a super sized one on/near your whiskers I may take a rain check! :D

I use some cream/gel that looks a bit like vaseline but it starts with a E, I forgot. It does a good job preventing flare ups. You know what? Some girls even said to me "You have a hicky on your neck".  LOL

It wouldn't really bother me all that much, obviously. I'm just worried a provider may be bothered by my flares but after couple of years in the hobby I realized that none of the ladies made a big deal out of my case.

If he's an established client, just ask him if it would bother him.

as I'd have no idea what it was.
I only schedule and go on dates when I am 100% healthy in all ways too - as I don't want the lady to have any reservations about me either.

Eczema and Psoriasis isn't contagious at all and those who have it can't help when they do get it. As long as it wasn't near the groin area, not oozing/bleeding, and not a severe condition where it can make things uncomfortable for the both of us - I wouldn't have a problem seeing a client who has it.

I would just like to be told it in advance so I'm not wondering the whole time, "What is that?". It's just an inflamed skin condition due to hypersensitivity or an allergy, it really isn't a big deal folks.

We all have problems, some mental, some physical. It's a little silly to be so judgmental.

youd stay.. not in a bad way but you would know what it was and if it didn't bother you or you couldn't catch anything you would be okay with ..

If you were my girlfriend - it wouldn't be a problem.
If you were paying me - it wouldn't be a problem.

I get that it's no different than having your arm in a sling, your knee in a brace or a big bruise on your thigh.  I occasionally have the heartbreak of psoriasis myself and there are creams for that.... and no it is not contagious.

I am a customer; you aren't my girlfriend and you aren't paying me and that makes the difference.

I think you did the right thing - especially if you consider yourself to be an upper end kind of girl providing more than the old in-out, wham bam experience.  I am on my period is always a good excuse.... and it will give you a day or so to get it under control.

Out of the gate with no prior knowledge, no thank you. If I had seen the person pre flare up and maybe there had been a discussion and it was not in a place that was going to be in full contact with my skin, I don't think I would mind, especially if I liked the person.

I'd be  nuh uh, not going near that. Something that is close to the junk, no way would I touch it.

a big deal IMHO.  But then again I have close relatives who have it so I'm not uncomfortable with it.

I think things MIGHT be different. However when a buyer sees a perceived flaw in what the seller has to offer, well, they usually go elsewhere. Sellers tend to put up with more than a buyer is willing to.

if it was explained. That kind of thing can happen with anyone. It sucks that it can make us all so self-conscious.

Some are more critical and judgmental than others. I am speaking of perfection seekers while they themselves are not.

A couple of spots of eczema or such isn't going to bother me.

I never had skin problems until the last few months. Now I have spots of eczema popping up daily in different areas. When I see a provider I hope that there's not a whole slew of them.

My ex had problem skin all her life. She'd have patches of dry or red skin, but that never bothered me.
