Actually, football doesn't start until August.

It still hurts that we(Netherlands) were beaten by a Dutch coach.

But we had 2 fantastic matches, we beat the world champion and the vice world champion

Congrats to Spain!

It's really a good sport

for third world countries and children.  Not too many complicated rules, or fast scoring.

Time to change some rules!

If soccer (aka football) really wants to take off in the US, it needs to put some excitement and scoring into the game. How about modifying or getting rid of the restrictive offsides rule? Can you imagine in American football, a touchdown pass being called back because there weren't two defenders between the receiver and the goaline when the pass was thrown? Also, how about freer substitutions so players can go all out and not pace themselves for the majority of the game? Oh well, it's just a dream until big corporate dollars are waved in the faces of the teams and their owners.
