Easily soluble problem

I receive calls and e-mails everyday from gentleman saying how they saw my ad, loved what I wrote and how they loved my pictures, but it seems one detail seems to escape many of them. In every ad I post I say "Screening is required" or something to that effect. However, so many call having no references, or seem oblivious screening requirements even exist - ummm... MP67, I think this is you. LOL :-). I find this a bit odd. I know not every lady screens, however enough do that a gentleman is more than likely to have come across a lady with whom which some type of verification is necessary. For those gentleman who claim to have "read my reviews" where a gentleman uses another guy(s) to vouch for a lady - which is pretty much what we ladies do with references.

I wonder at times is this coincidence, or simply someone not wanting to give references/personal info. It's kind of absurd to me. People will damn near strip at the airport without the bat of an eye, but if I ask some gentlemen to verify who he is for my safety they get up in arms. The safer a lady is and presents herself to be, the safer the gentleman coming to see her would/should be. I know these are not hard fast rules, but fairly good guidelines. Yet there are some who want to protect their privacy - many of whom don't realize ip addresses and e-mail addresses are very easily traced back to their owners.

Many moons ago I had a gentleman request an engagement with me and give me only a board handle, and an anonymous e-mail address. I told him more info, in particular a reference would be required. He said he never gives his name - not even a first name - to anyone. I thought this quite odd. Some ladies require quite a bit of personal information from gentleman seeking engagements, and this one had made it through with several ladies without so much of a name, or verifiable e-mail address. I was surprised to say the least. He huffed and puffed a bit at my refusal to see him and even mentioned it publicly once, but this is life.
You do what you can, when you can, but remember - no one gets out of life alive. :-)

Kisses,
Vanica Love

Seriously though - in the pic below it's almost like he's naked. LOL

I bring up this exact point to every gentleman who has contacted me how refuses any of my 4 (yes 4) screening options. Ah, how the value of logic is wasted on people with penises. (Kidding guys, sort of. ;-) ) Speaking of penises-do you think this "model" is a grower or a shower? I'm sincerely hoping the former, for his sake!

that it comes down to many guys being newbies not exactly understanding how things work. The way the media (movies, tv, etc...) portrays it, a guy calls a number, she says yes, and they meet and its off to the races.
When a guy finds out there is actually a lot more involved, and it doesn't match up to what he assumed how it was supposed to be, that is where the misunderstanding comes in. Guys have to realize that it isn't going to be as simple as the scene in "Biloxi Blues". But until they do, I guess there will always be those who will react that way.
Idealistic assumptions vs reality. That would be my guess...or assumption (yeah, I'm assuming, too. I'm human).

I just hope that the lady I seek to see uses a variety of screening options.  So far it has been quite painless.

the higher his social status and /or intelligence level... the less they balk at letting you know who they are. In fact.. the norm is that the very successful people (remember by 'success' I don't necessarily mean monetarily successful) are very proud of their accomplishments and history and love to let you know all about themselves.
And for personality type.  I rather be with laid back people like me.

Maybe when a person has very little.. like maybe in the way of self esteem or brain power, they feel more vunerable and feel they have more to loose.

Maybe they do. People should live within their comfort levels... and many ladies don't screen. These men should go with those women.

Anyway... a persons willingness to share and relate to me helps me determine who I'll get along with so no big deal.  Those that are all freaked out trying to act like secret agent man are not my types.  So think of it as they are helping you out my x-ing themselves off the list right away as incompatible.  (-:

As for men not really reading your ads:
Men don't read as much as look at the pictures... ha ha   You should know that by now, silly.
OK some can focus but many get distracted easily. They try to read but miss alot fantasizing about your ta-ta's.. ! ha ha
You can't fault them for a nature they can't control.

I understand why it's done.

However, on the other side, you've all heard/seen about recent events - bust of MiamiCompanions, as well as busts of New York Agencies, and agencies elsewhere.

Given the fact that LE is a lot more active these days, is it any wonder that a guy might be reluctant to give out personal info to someone they don't know?

I'm just saying...

blanket categories do not apply to individuals. it's called stereotyping. ;-)

it is a fallacy of logic and a flawed statistical inference to say that an individual can be predicted from the average properties of a group.

now i am generally very cooperative about providing screening information. i have been accepted as a client by independents and agencies who require so much information that the "uncooperative" blokes regularly whine about them on the boards.

but a screening process is also an opportunity for me to screen as well. it either works both ways, or not at all.

i Google very easily. so easily, that any ambiguity in my identity is easily and logically solvable from the screening information i am happily willing to provide. i simply don't want to put "it all" in one neat package.

only three times has there has been an issue:

one time i explained my position and the screening entity filled in the blanks silently and correctly. i appreciated the logical, rational and drama free respect for my issue.
;-)

on a second occasion there was a discussion with the screening entity by phone. they had it put together correctly and simply required that i affirm what they had done so. i had no problem doing so since they were permitting me the small fig leaf of a separate channel to provide the information. not as good as in the first instance, but good enough. ;-)

the third occasion was not so successful. there was an insistence that i provide all the details in one neat package or else. the result was "else". i prefer my business arrangements to be collegial, not dominant / submissive.

so when you screen you are being screened as well.

What some people fail to realise is that in some cases experienced provider within 10 minutes can know everything there is to know about the caller.

Not always, but I would say 5 out of 10 times I can find all required information just by first name and phone number.

Giving me that info saves me time and effort

There is no such thing as true anonymity in age of internet.

Yes, I know guys don't read much, but when they quote my blog and then seems baffled over my screening requirement - now that is a bit strange.

The TSA guy told me:  "Sorry sir, we can't let you board the plane with a concealed weapon."

I said "What the hell are you talkning about?"

He then proceed to pull down my pants and shorts and announce to everyone nearby:

"What do you call this thing, a dew worm?"

100% true story!

It is up to the lady to make sure she and her gentleman are safe.

I have a policy of not saving phone numbers. So when people call with numbers, I have no idea who it is initially. He has to remind me, and I use my memory. Lucky for me my memory is very good. Don't need a huge database for future employees to be able to reference and search later.

E-mail is a bit different - so I keep e-mails brief and free from too much chatter.

Being an indy it's unlikely I will be busted unless I make a mistake so I am sure to screen everyone. :-)

Vanica

I don't think we are discussing giving your information to an agency, since there hasn't been an agency post on this thread yet. Of course with an agency you run a higher risk of having all your information filed into a database.  They deal with more ladies which in return means more clients to keep track of.

I have yet to meet an Indy who keeps emails from multiple years ago or even a black book so to speak.  We are just as paranoid, if you will, as the gentlemen.  We don't need to keep such information because chances are there will be some little thing during our time with someone that can jog our memory enough to reference.  And us getting caught with such information makes it an open and closed case.

I don't think indy's should suffer because agencies are getting busted. That to me, is like comparing apples and oranges.

As one lady said, there are plenty of ladies who don't screen.  So maybe the gentlemen who are afraid to give out their info should stick to those ladies so no one waste their time.  Because it's almost guaranteed that if you are seeing a well reviewed lady, she will require more than a board handle.

I love how when Tiger Woods got busted everyone all of a sudden felt that they were as prolific as him.  More and more gentlemen were spooked about providing their screening info because they, and I quote, "didn't want to be the next Tiger Woods."  LOLOLOL was my response.  Most ladies have dealt with high profile clientele at one point or another but really??  Most the guys who "didn't want to be the next Tiger Woods," were your average working man.  So how the hell can you be anywhere in the same category or sub category even LOL.

Personally, I think men who don't want to give out their screening information simply don't want to because it makes them feel important.  Or makes them feel as if they have 'got over' on a lady.  Ya know, the classic, "well I didn't have to do X, Y or Z and I still saw the lady."

I think we ladies run more of a risk than the men do.  You don't often hear about a well reviewed lady robbing, beating, or rapping a hobbyist.  Yet that seems to happen a lot to the ladies.  Not saying it hasn't happened and I recently heard a story about a well reviewed lady pulling a butcher knife on a client, but more often than not, it's vice versa.  If a man can't understand our need for comfort then he should stick to the ladies who require little to no screening and solve everyone's problem :D

Problem is easily solved by avoiding agencies and being selective about indies.

If I can't trust a woman enough to know my name; I sure as hell don't want to be alone in a room with her no matter how "hot" she is.

The ladies I see, and admittedly there aren't many, tend to be very sharp and very safety-conscious people. They can be trusted not to misuse or compromise my info. So I hand it over and make life easy.

Don't fill out my contact form which clearly says I expect 2 recent references and don't provide any.Or provide just a random name with no other info quickest way to not get a response. When gentleman take the time to view a ladies website and on her site it specifies what info is requested for an appointment why not provide it?If you do not want to be screened then move on to the next lady that doesn't require screening and take a chance.I don't want to keep your info I have no use for it.
Guys do their own screening (checking reviews, google, checking w/fellow hobbyist)to make sure the lady is on the up and up.So,why is screening such an issue when ladies ask for info?I value my safety just because someone has a board handle doesn't mean he can't be a nut!

In some parts of the U.S. it's more likely that someone advertising as an indy is either LE or working with LE than someone who is advertising as part of an agency.  The police tend to use indy ads because with agencies, there are a lot of employees and someone could leak to the community that LE is using the agency as a front.  However, with an indy, it's less likely that word will get leaked.

That's not to say that all indy ads are LE.  I'm just saying that if LE is setting up a sting in an area, they are more likely to use an indy as a front than an agency.  So guys should be *more* cautious with indys they've never met in an area with high LE activity.

of either discretion or sanity. i require both of my companions.

lady A, with a reasonably long review history but not in my profile, apparently mistook something that was said by lady B. i am reassured that lady B did not ID me as the gentleman she was describing as being so very very dramatic.

nonetheless lady A spread it far and wide that i turned up on lady B's doorstep, armed and making threats. this was of course quite false but some well reviewed ladies have not been discerning enough to see through the false claim.

fortunately others are not so into group think and stereotyping.

the most drama i am capable of is simply in words: trying to correct a problem.

i am posting under a transparent alias this time in order to make it a little more difficult to get PMed on the topic. last time i posted on this i got some unwelcome drama in my inbox. it's a fig leaf and won't stop the dedicated... but there it is.

the only guarantee is there is no guarantee. think for your self. if you let someone else do your thinking for you... well at least you become what you practice.

Yeah, I'm partial to Tasha. But more than what you think I am for.

Alright, fuck you for my sentence structure.

Lady's only 25, but has seen so much more shit in this 'game' than most of us. And if you ever had the priviledge of meeting her and hearing her talk, you would understand that.

Like I said, I'm partial to her. I know it doesn't mean shit to anyone. But when she talks, I listen. And I graduated high school when she was born.

but my post is really not about Tasha and you err to personalize it so.

anyone who says "well reviewed ladies" are a guaranteed good time with no drama is making a mistake. there are no guarantees. there is no substitute for thinking through every encounter with an individual INDIVIDUALLY.

i don't care who talks, if it the thinking is unclear, i'll point it out. no personal offense intended.

it's either well thought out, or not. who says it doesn't matter. why make it personal?

stereotypes and group think: always leave home without them!
