I'm surprised why not many providers post their ads, especially while touring in local boards? Is it the cost or something else ... IN and MO boards have seen hardly any provider ads in the past year or so. They used to be flush with ads pre-pandemic.

I go to KC and every time I check the MO boards it has no activity so I don't bother posting. I think there are other places to post so ladies don't waste time anymore on TER.
Pre-SESTA/FOSTA many of the regional discussion boards as well as the ad boards of TER thrived. TER was once a great place to research various providers in your city or any city you were considering traveling to for business. It also functioned the same way for ladies. We could easily determine which cities might prove profitable for a tour or relocation.
It has taken TER awhile to bounce back due to its reputation among certain circles. There was the "delisting wave" that took place pre-SESTA/FOSTA and then after its return online. Many new providers are not wanting to be listed on TER as it is seen as "slumming" or a site for the "desperate". Furthermore, there is the dreaded "Hobbyist" and many men who see providers have sought to distance themselves from that moniker as well.
My personal opinion and experience has been that TER is a solid advertising and conversation platform. Just as any place online that allows public discourse there is bound to be less that savory people. It comes with the territory of being online. We often get what we put out.
