I'm sure everyone here, at one time or another, has had to deal with client/customers. I stumbled across this article that made me chuckle. (link below) But the truth in it is amazing. Can you see any truth in these 'types'? How do you feel about their suggestions about to how to handle them?

Here are 'types' of clients and some summary:

The Passive-Aggressive (very passive when you ask for initial input, but when you submit the finished product, they aggressively attack it): “Just do something that would appeal to us generally.” AND “You totally missed the point of what we wanted.”

The Family Friend (you have known for years): “You’re going to charge me what?! But we go way back!”

The Under-Valuer (will devalue your creative contributions): “It’s not like it takes much effort on your part.”

The Nit-Picker (never fully satisfied with the work you do): “How hard is it to [fill in the blank with any rant]?”

The Scornful Saver (impressed with your work… criticize you merely to undermine your confidence in an attempt to lower your pricing rate): Compliments always come with a less-than-flattering qualifier.

The “I-Could-Do-This-Myself”-er (make clear to you that they know how to do what they’re hiring you to do but that just don’t have the time): Communication from them often takes the form of short bursts of information.

The Control Freak (needs to micro-manage every little detail): “This way we can keep in contact 24/7 in case you have any questions, or I do.

I don't think I've ever viewed any group of people - clients or otherwise - with such hostility and disdain!

OK, I'll play.  What about these guys?
Just STFU and suck my dick.
What? You want me to put on a condom?  Why?
But Joe Blow told me you let him fuck you in the ass!
Why do you think I need a shower?  Do I smell?
That's not a shit stain on your sheets.  At least it's not mine!
Why can't a shoot my load in your hair???  You can wash it!
Just wear this diaper.  Please!

Sometimes you gotta read from a different perspective. Yes the words are chosen for a specific purpose but sometimes to get more out something you have to intertwine it with your own experiences.

I am interested that you see it that way. That is from one side of the equation. If you had been a service provider (of any kind, maybe you cut hair, detail cars) you would have been able to see it and relate it to the way you handle inquiries for your service too. Not just the actual clients/customers.

(also apparently 'customers' are basically 'one-offs' and 'clients' are the ones who around longer and you develop a 'relationship', professional i mean, with)

I honestly did not expect the defensiveness I have seen in the first two responses. I thought people could relate to it in one way or another, or provide some insight...I mean we all started somewhere...like cashier at grocery store, attendant at gas station etc. And I could find these behaviors in my other jobs. Who knew there was a way to handle to handle things differently instead of getting frustrated or angry when you couldn't deal with a different kind of customer...or maybe they are not so different. That is how I took the article.

Well enjoy your day :)

I clicked on the link... the article also mentioned the dream client: the one who appreciates everything that you do.

when dealing with the general public.

The only thoughts I concern myself with,
because Sex Work means different things to different people, is:

1.  does he want to take me to jail?
2.  does he want to rip me off?
3.  does he want to hurt me?

When I figure those items out,
usually by gut experience,
the rest is cake, ice cream and frosting!

That made me laugh too. Yes, I can totally see those different personalities in clients that I have seen and in certain providers as well!   I don't think the OP is trying to say that all clients fall into one of these negative categories. Most of the guys I see are awesome.  Also, keep in mind that we providers are contacted by a lot of guys who are not good or legitimate clients who we never even see who definitely exhibit some of these traits!

Thanks for sharing.

I, tell you the true, can not imagine a gentleman who does pay  sex to the sex worker .

Then such  become  jonh  ( john jake from the farm described the one very precisely )

What is very sad for me to see HERE - it is a fact that so many men who are gentlemen otherwise when they do enter this hobby - when they do need  to find a special  friend- a  woman which would give him sex for his money ( this world all about sharing - he shares money - we women do share what we have :) )
so when gentlemen do come here - they do not know how to act.. and in the absence of knowledge , may be due to some social stigmas and stereotypes, may be due to the lack of education - then those males - who - I would repeat - are very pleasant and are gentlemen in civil world - here those becoming john due to peer pressure.
They start to use jonhs language

-menu
-service
-incall
-outcall
-provider
-client
- they do ask ridiculous questions about how many times he have to have sex on return for paid dollar..

Oh well , that puzzles me - how come those otherwise gentlemen becoming totally johns here?

Seems and jake from farm knows it all and Gambler is very well rounded gentleman out of the TER boards.

What is soo speial here that women becoming hookers, men become johns and we talk about provider, client and sex service?

While we are here just to have fun and to share what we have ? You have money, I have love:

that is why we should talk a bit:)

And same goes not only for a clients  but generally for human communication
By some reasons I feel less attraction to man when he approaches with a hobby language .. as
Incall
outcall and so on

I know  deep inside - he might be a gentleman in need of company and may be there is nothing wrong with him - may be he would be the best date possible..
but I can not overstep ignore my disappointment on his language and style .. and almost always tell them that I am not available.

Then I am very upset - may be there was a good time , who knows, but I do not take risks  if IF I have not established good rapport over conversation and if he he dd not followed to my asking for screening and deposit.

If he does think I am not worthy of his trust hooker to release his real name and deposit funds for  date. then how I may have fund with him?

So nice to see gentlemen who do talk via emails, asking when he may to call. Sending my way alnico I am asking an then I see a deposit :)
Upon arrival I see flowers, champagne, sometime red roses .. sometime presents and HIM
HIM.. OOOO dear Lord.. then fountains  are flowing naturally

Ignore, delete, block. Vanish from existence. Dont deal at all. I feel sorry for the girls who actually have conversations with those types and actually "deal" with them.

I personally would never turn a close friend into a date. Its usually the other way around. Turn date into close friend.
