I had a TON of mechanic work needed on my car, and traded with someone for parts and labor, he actually DID put $1000 of his money into it, but it would have cost me like $4000 at a regular garage!

Yes, I spend way toooooooooo much time thinking about this life and yes I am a big NERD.

But so what!  What else you gonna do watch the 1,000,000th fucking commercial from those 2 ivy league aholes running for King in Charge.  When does someone from Ohio State or Penn State get to be President dammit.

Anyway, I am a HUGE fan of Revolution (the TV Show not the Beatles song).  And I just watched the latest episode.  And as I was sitting there about to masturbate to Charlie in her faux hooker gear.

I thought oh man what would life be like for Hobbyists and Providers in the post apocalyptic world.  Keep in mind the post apocalyptic world is different than 100 or 200 years ago.  Money has no value.  Value is now derived merely from goods and services.

So what would an overpaid Financial Analyst like me offer for value?  I mean I would be SOL if I said to a Provider "hey I could analyze that companys' financial statements and tell you if its' a good investment but oh wait there are no companies to analyze.  So how about you do me and when the world goes back to normal I owe you $400"  Nah, no good?

So that leads me back to my original thought in lieu of cold hard cash what would a Provider accept for um "Services Rendered"  or "Services About to be Rendered"?

when you have to spend the same money on the thing you need. What do I accept as opposed to cash...Dental work such as check ups, bleaching, etc. Botox or any cosmetic procedure that can be done without going under the knife, though I would also barter for boobs, cars or a mechanic to work on my vehicle, attorney advice, a cpa to do my taxes, airline miles, hotel rooms, Doctor visits for random shit, Apple and HP products new or used, because I can give them as gifts or sell on Ebay, Lawn Care LOL, etc.

I get stupid offers of bs from time to time, but for the most part bartering with men of a certain profession has worked wonders for me. Many men can't shuck out that kind of cash, but they CAN give you what you would have had to pay for out of pocket...same thing.

No way in hell. Found a mechanic who can get the parts and work on this type of vehicle, and have not looked back. Saved me literally THOUSANDS! If one damn thing goes wrong like a stupid sensor, they want 500 bucks! Good thing I don't pay a car note, or I would have to get off of ter and actually work lol.

In the Post -Apocalyptic World absent of money , a provider would  accept a financial  analyst skewered and broiled , as payment for services . You asked .   Dream about that .      :-D

What will you do when you retire?! And no wonder that after we guys have to pay for all that stuff, we then have to lowball the ladies or settle for the low rent gals - because there's not enough mullah left for us! And please don't tell me that, for free, I could always date Rosie Palmer....or Manuela, as my Latina amigas would say.

Tell me, London, do some providers also render services to LEO for protection, tip offs on stings, and to avoid harassment??? (Not implying you, per se. Just curious how much of that kind of bartering goes on, if you could shed some light on that from your years and your colleagues in the profession. Thanks.)

I think I've finally figured out how my high-visibility former ATF has managed to slip by without getting caught all these years. She can work areas where there are stings being conducted, but she always manages to slip by...She'd change her hotel, her ads, her tell #, her photos,  the name she used just before something would go down. Hmmm... Maybe she's more street-smart than I ever gave  her credit for. She always seemed/acted/pretended to be so naive to me - perhaps just an act to stroke my male ego... Actually, in her case, I know the answer. (She's not that smart: she blabs too much. It's even a criticism of her in her reviews...) Just wondering how prevalent this type of bartering might be.

you might be right. I do have cops that I know personally, but they don't know I am London Rayne. If need be, I would make that call.

The greatest post-apocalypse short story ever written, only a few paragraphs long, was written by Roald Dahl.

"In the Ruins". Warning: dark.

Prostitution probably existed before money did.  It's not much of a stretch to imagine that food, shelter or a ride to the bus station (will they have buses after the apocalypse) would be sought after forms of payment for a good BJ.  I'm guessing that financial analysts won't be of much use.  You better start honing your hunting and gathering skills if you want to get any after the apocalypse...

I started out blue collar in my career, and still have the skills and know-how to make things work.

I think some gals could find that rather sexy in the post apocalyptic world we'll find ourselves in someday.

Till then, I'm very happy in this pre-apocalyptic world too.

Wow! Thank you so much, I just got another fantasy to act out. Perhaps I should schedule time with you when you're in Cleveland and we can play bad cop - just about to be arrested hooker?

Dear Ms. Rayne:
I was just wondering has anyone even begun to question you about your sensual alter ego?  Or do you dress and conduct yourself in such a way that it doesn't even promulgate a hint of suspicion? I am sure that it is certain ways that you conduct yourself so that you don't reveal yourself. Also have you caught any cops during the review process if the hobby sparingly? If so what are the excuses you use to not see them if they would qualify on other counts?
