for the most part, if a topic interest me, I will read and respond... if I've the time.  if not, I will move on.  I read and post on 4 boards most of the time...

what is where?  sometimes I forget.  for the most part.... stuff sometimes starts here and migrates to one of the other national or local boards...  

I don't care what you post - as long as you have a very thick skin! lol!  cause sometimes you will need it.... I have!  lol!  good luck.

People with some common sense will read and respond in a mature manner if they feel it is of some importance to them. The other category of people who will respond are the ones that have nothing better to do than getting all upset over EVERYTHING, however we can never make everybody happy. But I understand the reasoning...because if we are going to have defend what we write at every corner we'd rather not write anything at all. But some people like to focus on the negative stuff in their life and we can't protect ourselves from them fully and totally.

Attitude is everything in life. People who have a positive attitude will welcome any intelligent conversation and subject brought up here and well...the other ones are just negative and they can't be helped.

So I would say; Go ahead and write about something that you feel is important

Not so long ago, this board used to host discussions on all sorts of topics

When I first got involved with TER at the end of 2002, I was inspired to see a place that combined talk about sexual issues with discussions about many others issues, and in a forum with (at that time) many interesting and eloquent posters.

After years of SOME people whining about how this site is only for talking about, as Jim Belushi said in "About Last Night", "Tits and ass, tits and ass...bonnie blue, bonnie blue, bonnie blue!", many of the most interesting characters I knew on here stopped posting or left the site altogether.  

I am always happy to see threads started on here about other topics, like music, or social issues, or movies (Hi, Ciara Phx! , or wine and food, or whatever.  There are still some good people that really get into interesting talks on here about stuff other than the pursuit of sexual gratification.  However, there seem to be many more that either discourage it or only contribute nudge nudge humor to it.

Having said that...

I STRONGLY DISCOURAGE posting anything REMOTELY political on here, as it usually will start a firestorm that will overshadow the point of your original thread. Our country is (and by extension, our members are) so politically polarized now that someone will inevitably say something that is too partisan, someone else will take exception, and then the gloves are off. Even if it is a little political, I highly advise you keep it on the P/R board.  While it would be great to talk to those who aren't 100% partisan like the P/R members (and, in reality, those are the ones who need to hear political talk the most, in our apathetic society), someone from the P/R usually will put their 2c in, and then we go over the cliff.

Okay, sorry for the rant, but I miss the days of REAL general discussion on here a lot.

You have aroused my curiosity, so i say post away as long as the questions[s] bear any relation to human sexual behaviors/needs and the satisfaction of same via the hobby.

Even if they don't, post anyway.  The worst that can happen?  You'll be flamed by some.   But you oughtn't to lose any sleep over it.

But did you not pose the Hillary/Rudy question a week or o ago?  THAT'S  what ought to be avoided, as it's requesting purely partisan respones on a puely political question.

IF you decide NOT to post it here, please post it on P&R.

But politics isn't one of them and neither is religion. If this is just going to be a revisiting of the "Not Hillary or Rudy" type of thread that you tried to put in here a while back I would say thank you kindly but no thanks. Folks who are interested in politics read the P&R board.  The rest of us don't.  So I guess I would just ask you to be honest with yourself about what the topic is really about and then go for it!

When I start reading it, if I don't like it then I will stop reading it and move on. I don't care to get into any real hardcore arguing or debating over anything. I like to come here to relax and chill from the pressures in life. I will not add to them by getting involved in an inane arguement on a forum based on an activity that should be what releases the stress of life in us all.

If others want to respond and discuss, and even debate/argue then that is up to those involved.

Please, please post something else that is new . . .

I remember when it was well received to write poetry, tell jokes and talk about our day on the board. I personally miss it. I certainly welcome something other than tits versus ass.

Multiple topics are good including T & A but no politics or religion.  Also, I don't think you will get much of a response to anything of a real serious nature.

This board should be fun for both the ladies and the gents.

trivial or inane than the next... 'pus, you already have the the short-lived reputation as being a spoon anyway, so why are you holding back? Do you really believe in consensus on a public board. Get real.

No.  This is the national general board.  As far as I'm concerned as a nearing four year TER vet, ask anything you like...maybe we'll respond, maybe not.  Just keep it civil, and repectful.  Thanks, just my two pennies...
