I've been a hobbyist for a while.  The other day I met with a nice girl, and after our engagement I noticed blood on the condom and some above on my penis.  She was about at that time of month, and I guess her period came on during sex.  Anyways, I washed off quickly and thoroughly, and now I'm paranoid. I looked up blood and HIV transmission, and it is very difficult to get via blood without open sores contacting, etc.  But still.  She has been tested HIV-, but I am suddenly paranoid.  As a safe hobbyist, I've always worn condoms (okay, a few bbbj's from my special girl) but there's still sometimes vaginal fluid that goes above the condom (like in cowgirl position), etc.  I've researched pretty extensively on STD's and been tested (will again).  So I'm suddenly swamped with thoughts of STD's a-z and it's really got me thinking.  So anybody out there suddenly have a crisis of consciousness and healthiness ?

Your right the risk of HIV is virtually nil.  Yes other STD's are a much more real risk.  Anyone not monogamous should get HepB vaccine.  But the risk of any STD from one contact assuming she wasn't a street hooker at high risk not using condoms with hundreds of other men, is very very low. Most STD's are quite easily curable.  Herpes is nasty but 90% of the time the person knows when it starts to be active.  Typically Herpes only results in a couple outbreaks but can still be passed on and for some unlucky folks outbreaks continue. But agian your risk is very very low and is zero if your girlfriend doesn't have the STD herself which agian unless would have got it from other men is very low.
