Doing well?

Hard to define but in a basic sense you have a general sense of comfort. You aren't worried about bills. Feeding your family. Your life is going on essentially as you thought you'd like. I can guarantee that this is not what a huge proportion of our country is feeling right now.

The bullshit that the government feeds us on the state of our economy in my opinion is stupid. Hobbying is for the most part an activity that is very elastic in terms of demand. If you are doing well and have extra funds then you go for it. Ignoring morals, health etc...

I think this "secret society" is a very good measure of what's really going on in our world versus the BS the mainstream media is telling us that "all is well".

From what I see the 1% (high end providers) are doing well and the middle class providers are not doing all that well. Just a mirror of what's going on in society.

So pile on if you must....

1. What is the bs that the government feeds us? We're pretty divisive now between parties and media that I'm not sure which bs is being fed to you as opposed to me.

2. There is a difference between an industry shrinking, and an industry staying the same, but its individual prices shrinking. In terms of the size of the industry, it has actually been stable, however, there are conjectures that it has changed because:
-in a tough economy, people who were on the fringe of entering the industry now feel compelled to enter it, and so the supply goes up, the quality also goes up because they have to up their game, and if the supply increases significantly then the price will decrease. However, there are also conjectures that sex is a need and in tough times people under stress need release, so perhaps they're not going for one time at $500, but perhaps twice at $250.

Do you have a comment about "low class" providers? Our society isn't just made up of 2 classes.

Talk to any of the top 10% and the economy is GREAT, just as it should be, or drastically improving.
Talk to any provider in the coveted "Top 10" and you can't wipe the smile off their face.

Talk to the other 90% of providers or general public and it's a completely different story.

Don't assume that just because a provider can make 300 plus an hour, that she is doing that on a regular basis. The fact is, many providers don't even have health insurance and are actually on govt. assistance, which I find to be a bit off putting if they are stealing money from people who really need it. If THEY need it, fine, but many want to drive around in an Escalade and then collect food stamps because they don't pay taxes.

There is no one answer to your question....doing well in the south is not doing well in NYC. I only need about 4-5k a month to do crazy well. 2-3k a month, still pays all of my bills. For me, 'doing well' is 3-4 clients a month, every month with no cancelatiions. For others, doing well is a new pair of Loubis every damn week and renting vs. paying a mortgage. Can't really answer your question, but to say without another income, no, I could not live on providing alone. Well, I could 'live' but not 'super comfortably. I don't even have a damn car note either...never have. I have health insurance, car insurance, a mortgage being paid off my the couple that I am leasing to in Nola, rent in Destin, private school for one child, credit card payments, student loan payments, internet, cell phone, food, gas, cigs, etc. My advertising costs for London are less than 100 a month, and I use incalls vs. hotels but there is still a cost. Once I fully quit smoking and only vape, I will save 150 a month on that.

So, I do not live the way I did back in 05-06 when I was on the madame side vs the provider side.  We were going out to dinner like 3 nights a week and the average bill was 3-400 for 4 of us, vacations where we did not hobby once a month, shopping sprees, drugs, dare I say it lol. We were crazy spending all the time, because it was so new to us, and the economy was booming. Agencies back then, were seeing over 100 clients a week with not enough girls to see them...we could not keep up with the volume of calls in those days.

So, if you are asking if that has changed, then I can say. ..yes it has, but I think it's a variety of factors not just the economy. Many girls were at 300 back then who are now at 500 or above, so of course the volume is going to decrease...that is the point of raising rates in the first place.

what you said about women making a lot without even health insurance is so true. Sometimes it makes me want to tell a sex worker outreach group that the biggest thing they could do would be to offer guidance and support about real things as opposed to moral guidance or what have you.

There's definitely women that can make a solid plan on their own, but then there's others that do need help with things like health insurance, in NYC they don't even have an apartment lease because of how difficult it is to get an apt here. They are doing the $500+ rates, and yet living person to person, and that just boggles my mind because if given the tools they could also have a solid plan of their own. The stigma of this entire industry sucks, it leads to things like bad money management, poor health, not paying taxes, etc. I met one who is the sweetest girl, as soon as she had a "good month" she dropped $1600 on pictures, I think someone had to help me pick up my jaw, all because she's unfortunately alone with sometimes having money, sometimes not, and so she thought pictures were the right way to go, despite already having some that get her $500.

So for that, I do blame our government, for lacking in laws that could help more people out, rather than sticking to morality standards

Is mostly done to you, is by the media not the government. Unless you have read the actual report put out by the government, you are eating whatever interpretation the media decides to feed you.

This is not a good measure even though, it is elastic. People come and go here for many reasons. Sickness, occasional moral lightening, hiatus for personal reasons, etc.

US economy is a vast ocean and cannot be based on one wave hitting the beach where you happen to stand.

I'm sure I fall in your 'middle class', and my business is steady, better than my previous (typically slower) Decembers, and my November was downright awesome -- the best month I've ever had.

I've seen posts by both higher and lower end (relatively speaking) girls complaining that it's slow, and I've seen posts by both 'classes' indicating that business is good.  It all depends on how a girl conducts her business, no matter what 'class' she's in.   A good indication of how well one is doing is if she's running specials -- I've seen a lot specials advertised by all classes of girls.

And FWIW, there some girls whom I don't believe when they claim to be so busy -- I'm quite sure they like to pretend, thinking that it will make them seem popular and therefore increase demand.  One in particular said she was seeing soooo many guys, and then a couple weeks later complained about not having rent money.  Don't believe everything you read.

2013 has been the best year for me since the crash. People seem to forget that the recession technically ended in June 2009. Granted, the recovery has been painfully protracted because of sluggish job creation, but things have been improving, albeit slowly. (If anyone cares to read the rationale, I gave an optimistic forecast for 2013 on the P&R Board last January.)

providers do a much better job of conducting their business than others. Those ladies are doing well; others who do not return inquiring emails or phone calls, not so much.

Have a great weekend.
