Being a Cubs fan my whole life, You and I are probably the only two that know the significance of that DP combo.

You just need to be old. LOL.
To the uninitiated: in this case "DP" does not refer to Double Penetration.
Kinda like if you know who Carl LaFong was.

When I was a kid and more interested in sports, I read a lot of books (The Boys of Summer, etc.) and I knew a LOT of sports stories and stats, including Tinker to Evers to Chance (but I never got to show it off on Jeopardy). I think that some kids today are still learning and memorizing sports history and sports stats that I gave up on years ago. The memory of Tinker to Evers to Chance will live on, even in poetry:

"... From 1906 to 1910, the Cubs turned 491 double plays, the third most in the NL during that time. According to Bill James' formula, "expected double plays", the Cubs led the NL with ***50 more double plays than expected*** during those five seasons. ..."

EDIT: Had to edit (remove) a reference not allowed by TER policy.

For example, there was a pitcher nicknamed Three Finger Brown.  For me, "three finger brown" is the test I use to see if a woman can accommodate me anally.
