I think it is a case of abuse when a lady posts 24 times in one day i.e.: Jan. 2nd; of course each time linking to her reviews.  Way to much time on her hands.  Shame Shame Shame.

Several months ago a poster on this board commented that he "never takes anyone else's inventory." I thought it was a good comment at the time, and still do.

By the way, I have always found the lady in question to be quite interesting, for what it's worth.

I'm not going to bother to count posts, but I know one lovely lady who may qualify as "guilty" by your rubric. Her posts generally add much more wit and wisdom to the community discussion (which I thought this was) than does your accusation.

The forum software was just updated, I believe, so that if a provider posts using her TER main username, the link is inserted automatically. It  consumes a tiny bit of screen real estate, doesn't wink at you as do the banner ads that make it impossible for me to read this board anywhere other than private places, and you have no obligation whatsoever to click it.

You do realize that those links to reviews are added automatically?  If she posts at all it will have that link.  So lighten up, she's just being chatty (aren't all women? ).  If this was a case of shameless self promotion wouldn't a link to a website have been included as well?

...but more power to her.  Her posts are fine and not self promotion.  I wish there were even more providers with much to say.  By the way PISF, he who casts the first stone should at least have used a real alias.

I to enjoy all her posts here! It is nice to see other providers that are well spoken and have so much to share with all of us! There are a lot of guys that read this forum like a news paper everyday, and we (providers) do the same thing to keep up on things that relate. So it is nice to see the post's  they are informative, funny,and yes many times make you think a little. So if she dose put a link to her.........so what?

As far as linking to her reviews, it's automatic.
And if it's the girl I'm thinking of, she made a positive contribution by suggesting the autolink feature.
I think calling this abuse is a big stretch at best.
If you don't like her postings, you don't have to read them.
As far as "shame, shame, shame", aren't providers subjected to enough of that by society already?

Your post does not give any clues as to who this "abuser" is.  MIght I suggest that perhaps you might have too much time on your hands as well to have counted the posts?

I would withhold judgment on whether it is abuse, until I could see whether the lady was adding to the thread or simply posting just to put her name in circulation.  But without a name, its hardly worth the effort.  Perhaps, in the future, you should just avoid reading her posts.

I find your post somewhat odd.

Why do you care how often someone posts?  Shouldn’t the issue be:  Do they have something worth saying?  Were her posts empty and just a cover for advertising?  (I will assume this is NOT the case until I see evidence to the contrary).

What do you think a fair number would be?  What’s the rationale for your limit?

Don’t you have dull days, like the ones you spend counting how often someone else posts?  There are far more harmful things one could do other than use dead time to post here.

If you don’t like what she posts, reply to them and say why.  Or don’t read them.

But the bottom line for me is that I would normally THANK the major contributors to these discussions, not berate them  If it weren’t for the frequent posters, this place would likely be very dull.

Seriously, PISF, I would like to hear your answers to these.

Why are you complaining PISF?  Her posts in case you have not noticed at least spur some thinking.  Also IMHO most of the classiest ladies in the Southern California area (can't talk about the rest of the country) do not participate in either the discussion boards or the chatrooms.  You should be thankful when a classy one does participate.

Don't click on her posts.
Often I find myself complaining of just the opposite situation.
"Why didn't "X" link to her ads/site/TER Profile so I can see what she has to offer (other than discussion)

Be glad ladies do post here, and can link to their sites(etc)

I, for one, enjoy Nicole's posts, because they show how intelligent she is.  I prefer that a lady that I see have some smarts, since I enjoy having a lively conversation when I have an appointment.  Just skip over her posts if you don't want to read them!

There was some period of time when NOSC wasn't posting here. I missed her presence, and I was concerned about her well-being.  The same goes for others...I'd MUCH rather see somebody posting here (however damned often they wish) than not hear from them at all.

They talking 'bout me. Sorry I couldn't post once today because I was out all day with the kids, you know fully day of burger king, carousel, shopping for Reeboks...you know, kid stuff.

Through 2003, I was real busy with my other business so I didn't post much.

The 2nd was my day to kick back and chill so why not spend it on TER having fun!

Though I don't always agree with you (only 95% or abouts) I've never seen you post anything stupid or objectionable.  Your point is always presented thoughtfully, and above all you never turn disagreements into flame wars.  

Oh, and I've never seen you link one of your posts to your website.  Maybe you've carried avoiding self-promotion too far.

So all in all you're one of the stars of the TER discussion boards in my (not very humble) opinon.

It is more like "shame, shame, shame" on you, PISF for not doing your homework and posting like you did before you gave it any serious thought or research. Hey, we all do it from time to time, but you really need to know and understand your quary before you post like you did.

If you had even bother reading lovely NOSC's reviews, then you would have known just how beautiful, intellegent and downright sexy she is and that a lady with that much class, elegance & style doesn't need to shill here at all.

I, for one, welcome NOSC's posts as they are usually quite witty, insightful and intelligent. So PISF, please lighten up. No one expects nor wants you to play god around here. NOSC, please post away to your heart's content. We are all in need of something interesting.
