Are you talking about a committment where you don't see other people, and how does her work fall into that framework?

I have a lot of favorites, and many of us are friendly, even involving some OTC time, and getting to know each others' private lives.

But I would never confuse them with being a significant other, etc.

You could end up with the worst of both worlds, that way.

I'm beginning to believe, due to some of the posts i've read lately, that ATF really means, a provider that i have fallen for??
I really want to call her my GF, but in light of the bashing i might take on the GD board, i will instead call her my ATF.
I may be way off base, don't know, it's why i'm asking.
Does it even matter, or are we setting ourselves up for disappointment, more so, than we would be in the civee world?  I would say, Yes.

It's fine to have feelings for her, she obviously rocks your world. It's nice when you find someone that can just knock you on your ass sexually. Control yourself though, it's a business, it'll always be a business. She may even like you a little bit. She doesn't actually care about you though. Congratulations on being the 1,000,000th hobbyist to post about falling for a provider though!

When I say ATF I don't mean that as a euphemism for girlfriend. It doesn't mean that "I've fallen and I can't get up". More often than not I won't use ATF but simply say the provider is a "Favorite". I have sometimes wondered about using the term ATF (All Time Favorite). All Time is much like "Once in a Lifetime" for performance/appearance ratings. It would be difficult to say All Time or Once in a Lifetime until my "time" is up. That being said, it is the jargon of the hobby and so I take it for what it's worth. You may be correct that some are using it to mean more but I'd say most are not.

its just a cliche. Its just someone who is NO DRAMA and gives you GOOD TIME. Also some off the clock time is nice.  I've many ATFs.

I haven't fallen, it was a queston for the group!
If i NEED to fall, it will be for my givee GF, who btw, treats me like a provider would! ( in bed )

Now that makes sense. I did forget that some do travel for work. So having an ATF in an area, would be a good thing.

I am guessing,and I have a friend who can do this., ( out of the business and yes I have seen it) who can bend her legs behind her ears) That girl who does not mind the occasional Double P and or group kind of party?

But as to your post. Why can't you call her your part time GF or your ATF. it crosses the line when you or she gets jealous or crosses boundries.. Do what works for you................

If you think you're becoming emotionally involved, read all her reviews, especially the most recent ones.  They will remind you that it's no only your world she's rocking.

impossible to not have some feelings.  Love? NO.  I sign occasional notes to my ATF "fondly, H"  Becoming friends with providers IS risky...  sometimes they really do let you into their lives...  and we don't like it there.  It is our choice...  choose wisely.

I think you can keep the business part very clear and still get the lines blurred about *your* feelings or you level of attachment. Emotions are complex things that we may not have complete control over.

I know a provider that is literally less than half my age and if I'm not careful I could fall totally head over heels for. If she became my girlfriend, I have no idea how a working dynamic could be created! At 20 years old I'd feel like I was teaching her something everyday. Man would THAT be doomed! But, as long as our transactions remain clear those feeling have been able to be kept in check by just reflecting on the reality of the situation.

Same from a third party perspective, and from a lady's, I believe. She' s not a GF if you have an envelope.

I would think that any provider who fell for her client, where it was mutual, and BOTH were looking at it a BF/GF, would not be able to continue the business transactions.

It might be reasonable to say it can be unwise to continue with an ATF if your feeling start becoming deep and you are too attached. But how many of us have had a close workmate or friend who we have developed deep feelings for that were never returned. And done so WITHOUT the physical intimacy that a provider and client have?

I don't think think you are setting your self up for disspointment as long as you keep EXPECTATIONS real. I'm not a sportfucker. The connections I have made with providers have enriched my life. Any let downs have been much less than with civies.

are you trying to find does it matter to everyone or anyone on the planet? My guess is the answer would be: take the total world population, multiply it by 2.5, add 5%, half will agree, half will disagree, and all will give advise. In end, you will be more fucked up tan you are now.

A lot depends on what a guy values.  If he likes wild, physicality without any need for an emotional connection ATF might be a PSE.  Or a lady with fantastic skills and limited personality.

It all depends.  For me, my two ATFs are very different.  One would be my GF in a heartbeat but it isn't what she wants.  With the other we're great friends but will never be more--we aren't romanticly attracted but really enjoy each others' company.

You have neither an ATF or a GF.

You have someone that won't answer your calls/texts/emails.

So call her whatever floats your boat.  She doesn't consider herself any of your acronyms.  

As for disappointment in this game...seriously you must be joking.  Unless, as others have suggested, you have "fallen for a provider and can't get up".  And assuming that is indeed the case, consider I have just "bitch slapped" you and move on to the next one!

No, that is not the case at all, i haven't seen any providers for quite some time now. Just a question for the group.

We've discussed this type of question many times, and more often than not there are varying POV.  My reply was what I believe having learned and experienced various aspects of the hobby.

While it is still interesting to read replies from others who have been at this a hell of a lot longer than I have been.

And I do believe that a question that you posed in your OP comes from something "personal" that you attribute to yourself.  Hopefully the replies here have given you some "food for thought".  If not, just do your search here and you should find a bunch of threads on this topic....and maybe there are some other responses out there that better serve your question.
