Do what makes you comfortable

I don't know how common it is overall but in my personal experience it's been very rare that a provider has asked for photo identification.  Some of the providers I see screen and some don't.  For the ones who do my datecheck ID and 2 references has been sufficient.  I've only seen one provider who requested a photo ID as part of her screening and this was in addition to datecheck and references.  Long story short, I explained to her that showing my ID made me uncomfortable, she understood, agreed to see me anyway and we had a great time.

But I digress.

The main point I want to make is this.  If someone is asking you to do something that you're not comfortable doing then don't do it.  It doesn't matter how rare or common it is.  If it makes you feel uncomfortable simply do not do it.  Period.  I have never understood the rationale for wanting to see a gentleman's identification and I, for one, will not share my last name, work information, home address or show my ID to anyone.  Asking to see your ID doesn't really provide any added measure of protection IMO because it's something that happens after you're already in the room.

If a guy is LE and he's already in the room then he's probably going to arrest her anyway.  Asking for his ID won't prevent that.

If a guy is a dangerous person and he's already in the room then he's probably going to do her harm anyway.  Asking for his ID won't prevent that either.

Okay, I'm wandering again.

Of the 12 ladies that you reviewed only one agreed to be a reference for you?  I'd ask the other 11 as well.  One of them should be able to vouch for you.  If you haven't joined a verification site I'd suggest you do that.  In principle verification site membership is supposed to assure the lady that you're safe without you having to divulge excessive personal information for each new lady you want to see.  Are any of the ladies that you've seen members of verification sites?  If so, having them vouch for you can speed up the approval process for membership.

Unless you absolutely positively have to see her this afternoon just wait until you have more of the things she requires for screening and showing your ID won't be an issue.

anybody can write 12 reviews and anybody can show up saying they're you. P411 suggests putting a piece of tape over your home address etc.

Did you supply her with your real name in the initial screening? If that is an issue for you and you chose not to go that route, asking for an ID is useless on her part since she cannot really verify you are who you say you are (Although, it should be noted that I am not saying she does not have a right to ask). Those who think they are "clever" love to share accounts - P411/Date-check/you name it (it does happen out there) - and lets also not forget that LEO loves girls that are lax enough in their screening to take only a TER account. Just saying.

I cannot speculate on how you should proceed, however in my opinion you should ask yourself would seeing a provider with relatively lax screening allow you to truly enjoy your time together? Would you feel safe?

If your answers to these questions is satisfactory, then you will know what to do :-)

If they want or feel the need to know exactly who we are (understandable for their safety and security), then we guys ought to also have the right to see their ID with true identity (although they might always be using an alias and fake ID).  While the women take chances with rape, violence and LE, we guys take big chances with our careers, marriages, etc. If a provider wants to know your true identity before an outcall so that she can, in theory, check you out, we guys should be able to do similarly. Case in point, I recently saw a provider who shared her true identity with me and I with her. After seeing her for about half dozen times and she was moving to ATF status with me, I merely Googled her to check her out and, without any hacking of any kind, I discovered she had a criminal record a mile long and was suffering some severe mental problems! (And, yes, she's a verified provider on several sites and highly reviewed!) At least I didn't have to worry about getting a severe headache while laying next to her in post-coital bliss: axe murderer was not one of her felony convictions...By the way, she also had used a half dozen aliases. Needless to say, I'm circumspect about the whole identity issue and just who the hell you're playing with! Either both parties should be honest and forthcoming with their true identities or may complete anonymity reign with all of the inherent dangers. My policy is now "Show me yours and I'll show you mine."

It confirms you are who you told her you were.
Not foolproof. but if it give her some piece of mind, I see no problem with it.

Last night I went to meet someone, he was vouched for but vouched for under his alias name
he uses. While on the phone with him driving to see him I asked what room . He did not want to say
at first but I told him I may be asked who I am there to visit . He said oh well you need my name?
I said I have your name it's ____    _____ right? No he said I never use my REAL NAME . Mind  I am
driving getting ready to pull over and rethink this one. He told he though and no one asked me who I was there to see but I did ask his ID too when I walked in. Situations with names can get scarey for a woman
this industry is built upon trust and being sincere. Uncle Leo can also log into an account and pretend to
be the writer of a review . Let her see your ID and have fun and fuggetaboutit ...  :)  '''

Angela, I'd be interested in your and other providers' thoughts on my prior post above on the ladies similarly showing their IDs, particularly in light of my potentially scary experience with a sketchy provider. I've read the statistics that 20% of guys are robbed by a provider and/or her pimp. While one might think this is only a problem with providers from BP, many women advertise and are on both TER, BP and perhaps even with P411, so there are not necessarily firm boundaries that separate out the good, trusted ladies of TER from some of the riff-raff out there. One can even discern that from some of the discussion boards and/or the poor reviews occasionally submitted. How would you feel if a client asked to see your driver's license, for example, at the same time you asked to see his ID? The fallback, seemed to be used by many providers, is that on a slow day most providers will throw caution to the wind and see a particular client based only on gut instinct, as subjective and as dangerously wrong as that could be.

LE can pretty much do whatever they like. I have heard of cases where cops were accused of even having sex with a provider only to bust her afterwards. I don't believe, and hope it's not the case, that their are lots of LE acting this way. But the bad apples know that if a provider complains the chances are they can deny and will most likely be believed over a provider.
I never put much stock in any sort of so called LE check. I personally think any provider who does is kidding herself.

... I show you my ID if you show me your ID.

If the provider refuses to do so, then I have the right to refuse as well.

On the other hand... if she shows her ID, then I'll show her mine.

It's only fair, because she will know my real name and I would like to know her real name. I know a number of provider's real names and they know mine. Never been an issue.

Interestingly, I recently had a provider (Sadie out of San Francisco) who showed me the Benjamin's: she had C notes with Ben's pictures tattooed on the top of her feet! There were no doubts where her interests and priorities lied!  LOL....

I only ask for ID if I feel that the person visiting me may be underage. I wouldn't want to get in trouble for statutory rape and be known as a 23-yr old cougar! lol :)

I could not verify his safety... if you have PMed her and she sees you are a established hobbyist, I would not ask for a ID too... seems to be a bit much imho
