OTOH some not so good. but i'll take care of the bad shit privately, for once. (i'll send a PM later. it needs to be techical and dry and not my usual stream of consciousness. i had too much fun this eve chatting up a young lady and sipping cognac to be technical and dry. it's coming though, i promise. you know who you are and you know you made the case.)
it looks like the little health issue that had me temporarily retiring is pretty much resolved. partly there are thanks due to 'johngaltnh' who is one of the folks i find sound and respectable intellectually. he provided me with some interesting suggestions which i pursued, verified in theory and succeeded in putting into practice with interesting effects. (i don't want to discuss them here because i've been pushing the same stuff on my friends and... you never know who reads the boards. LOL!) so, john, if you want to talk about it please start a different thread. 
so i am looking forward to rejoining the great game soon. in fact johngaltnh's suggestion is SO effective that it may eliminate the need for me to do hobby "therapy" and i might be able to simply have hobby fun. imagine that!
but, life being but a pale shadow of perfection, there is a fly in the ointment. as i consider my next coming out party do i choose from:
1) past or currrent TER favorites, fondly remembered?
2) one of the UTR ladies who have been somewhat kind though not quite as fun as the TER girls?
3) one of the ladies from my TER "must see" list (which i have neglected)?
4) something civy and different? i didn't sip my cognac in solitude......
each has their plusses and minuses. if you were coming off a hiatus which would you do? ladies gents, both are welcome...........
but rather about which gropy to choose from and to have some fun with it. glad you had yours.
Based on your other posts about enjoying solitude, if civies can't be kept at arms-length ... I'd go with a provider. If they CAN be kept at a comfortable distance without creating angst, I'd go with the civie because civies have a wider range than providers on what they can provide albeit at the cost of certain expectations.
There is no question about the biological benefits of a new sex partner; but there are psychological benefits to a known sex partner.
So I'd start off with an ATF!
Meanwhile, credit for inspiring my ongoing research goes to a certain touring anthropologist; and credit for enabling the research goes to six intrepid souls willing to both trust and share. 
However, regarding your decision; think about each option separately, take a break, then think of the next option, etc. Whichever option gets lead in your pencil the quickest, go with.
