Or, would you be put off by it, because even though there is no emotional implication, it still sounds too much like a commitment-- the very reason you participate in this practice....

YES!  It's a great idea that I would jump on if my ATF offered it.

I do not know if she was saying that perhaps a "freebie" after a certain number of dates per month might be the way to go.  

Using the $400 example, perhaps you offer in a single calendar month, "buy three get one free" or "buy three, get one at half off", or something like that.  That way the guy would definately commit to the fourth date because it was free or discounted.  The less expensive date would expire at the end of the month (or within a predetermined time) so that you would not have multiple discounted dates to have to commit to.

As to your origional question though, if in fact I was single and was able to commit to something like that, it would interest me personally.

I've been seeing my ATF once a week but she hasn't brought up the idea; I'm too shy to ask.

Another option is to have her stamp my butt after every session; when I got 10 stamps I would get a freebie.

But this is highly variable... I can imagine some dudes going for this - while others may not... the real questions are:
1) do you have regulars - you may wish to ask them...
2) are you doing this to generate new business or to keep current business?
3) will you still meet expenses?
4) will you be able to keep the current level of service..
5) what will you do if - for example - one client cannot keep the # of dates... if prepay, can they carry over, if they pay-as-they-go how will you account for that, what if they are feeling especially frisky one month and up the # of visits....

I suspect that if you plan it right with the right guys, you may be able to decrease expenses and work a bit less! ?  or at least be sitting by the phone waiting for the next apt. a little less...  

Could you go in with another lady and the two of you offer - X dates per month with either of us - for $/visit....  that keeps some concept of variety in there - for dudes like me... but still...????

My question to you is, can you keep your personal distance in this form of hobbying...?  Think of it - you will be seeing the same group of folks, on a routine bases for at least an hour a week !!!   Hard to not get emotionally attached in those circumstances - or the opposite, dread the time when one of the "regular boys" is due....

in a nutshell - what are you looking for?

Ever see "The Apartment" (1960) with Jack Lemmon, Shirley MacLaine, Fred MacMurray, and Ray Walston?  Think that you should.

Look I'm a happily-married hobbyist who is in it for the many & varied experiences.  Even though I have an ATF, I still don't see her more than occasionally - the rest are one-timers.  A discount wouldnt entice me to make it more often.  Just one perv's POV.

I think it's a great idea in theory.  In practice, it might be hard to implement.  After all, there isn't a way to *really* guarantee a specific number of dates; it's not like you'd be signing a contract.  The guy also would probably want some protection in case you found yourself unable to fulfill your end of the bargain; "payment in advance" seems altogether too risky.

I think the best way to implement it would be a verbal agreement for a freebie after every fourth or fifth regularly-priced session.  That would cover you both in case of brief hiatuses for business travel or vacations or illness, and wouldn't lock you into having to schedule a certain number of appointments in a set period. ("We've got to have three more dates by the end of the month -- how about Tuesday morning, Thursday evening, and Friday at lunch?")

You might also consider what you want to do about appointments of varying length.  Does a three-hour date count as much as three one-hour dates?  What about special requests, or bringing along a friend?

Finally, would that person get scheduling priority, and what would that mean?  Would you shift a previously-scheduled date with someone else to accommodate the frequent-shopper?  Would he get first pick on your calendar for the upcoming weeks?

If I were in a situation where it was possible to make this kind of arrangement with a lady, I might well do it, but it wouldn't be easy to set up.

A very special lady takes great care of me, and has cut her rate more than your 30% example on occasion.  We connect very well, but both know the limitations of the relationship.

I like variety but also know that time with her will be quite enjoyable, and her rate to me is well below the average in town.  So, I don't see her at pre-defined intervals, but as often as our schedules allow for.

Frequent Flyer type programs don't work long-term unless you find your best and most loyal customers and reward them in ways they hadn't been rewarded before. Overtime, the discounts become more like bribes that simply reward people for their business. To make it really work, you have to take into account the differences of each customer and their desires. Ladies, your biz is more about watching customer behavior, learning what they care about and then delivering... that builds loyalty. Too few providers are willing to take customer behavior into account and often as one poster stated, "familiarity breeds contempt." Very few ladies treat you like indiviudals. Perhaps it because they have a half-hearted approach to what they are doing. I may sign up for the first go around, because I think it is a great way to see you, but what happens next? That's the question. If within the time you spend with a person, you don't learn ways to enhance future sessions, you'll likely be wondering why he doesn't want to come back. Food for thought.

I emphasize the word "ENJOYED". Having the regular close connection and friendship as well as the unfettered independence and opportunity for occasional variety are truly a best of both worlds scenario. SHE understands my want, need and income limitations for frequent, regular visits and I value and respect her and the outstanding consideration she affords me. There ARE considerations of "commitment" as mentioned but only a pathological narcissist could
think such intimacy would not entail such.

I, for one, would offer a discount to anyone who is a regular.  And, I've had that happen. It was nice knowing that there was a definite amount of money coming in for awhile, but it didn't last long because he ended up in a life-long relationship. He was older and loney, but it worked for a short time and was very nice. It depends on the individual and the situation.

To try an arrangement like that for afew months to see how it worked out for both of us.

...and even though I like variety, I've not had the time to try anyone else in over 6 months.  She has been getting 100% of my hobby $ during this time, so it was a pretty savvy move on her part.  The best thing is no one is complaining and we're having a great time with each other that feels just like a "friends with benefits" relationship instead of a professional one.  Considering that I'm married, this is the best of all worlds for me.

Everyone's situation is a bit different, but Providers who "reel in" their favorite clients with discounts or "freebie offers", probably don't lose any money by doing so... only the hassles of new clients.  My .02

I had an experience as a "newbie" that approximates what you're asking.  First, we met outside the hobby at least 60 times over several years.  She had initially suggested a "stipend" and we finally agreed on a $500 quid pro quo, no time limits and total access.  This went on for $30,000 until I accidently discovered she had gone pro.  Disaster!  Upside? I became initiated into the hobby.  Downside? Dissolutioned about a dedicated relationship.  Lesson learned, pay honestly, select carefully, have more than one friend, money paid is marginal compared to the emotional pain and disruption of feeling betrayed and taking antidepressants.  I have several regulars I see, and would not even think of taking a "discount" other than enjoying an occasional "special."  Perhaps a generous appreciation of status, but, in my case not required.

I wish she would set up a special email or phone number only for her best clients.  Or maybe she already has but I do not rate in that class...LOL

This was a pretty woman who was hard as hell to get an appointment with, so it was guaranteed and maybe worth it.

I took a far more expensive deal and it worked out amazing.

My ATF has provided sort of a discount in that when we are together she will extend her time with me.  So, the last time we were together I booked two hours and she left four plus hours later.  I really felt good about that and will absolutely see her again and again.  Dani, if what you are looking for is a smoother cash flow from month to month try out what my ATF has done, because I am sure hooked on the "special treatment" she offers me.

Actually, I think it can be beneficial to several providers and hobbyiests out there if they find a particular person who they get along well with and have good chemistry.

You said it started out with a stipend, so she was already becoming a kept woman/provider. Feelings and business can get in the way sometimes. If that happens, then you either have to break off the agreement or get married.  Anyway, there are professional arrangements that can be made in advance. If you only see someone twice or three times in a month, then that shouldn't be a problem anyway. If you can afford it, then have your mistress and also see other women. It does work for some people, darlin' but I'm so sorry to hear this happened to you.

That's why, as I mentioned in an ealier ppst, I didn't ask for a discount. I bring a lunch or dinner everytime I see her so I get to stay an hour or two over. I also help her with her web site and other matters so I visit other times without a session.

Since I am on the road constantly I couldn't commit to anything. But one of my ATF's, in one of the cities I frequent, often stays an extra hour or more. That's better than a discount in my case and is one of the reasons I think of her as an ATF. That special treatment iswhy she is always my first call when I know I will be in her area.

Barring illness or extended trips out of town, my ATF can be assured of seeing me once a month.  The main reason it can't be more often is financial.  But I'm fine with it.  It's my choice; I know I could find a provider with lower rates and go more often, but I doubt I'd enjoy that as much as what I've got now.  Of course, if ATF offered me a discount, I'd accept it and see her a bit more often, but I wouldn't ask for it.  Bottom line: she's got my loyalty now, it's the frequency we're discussing here.

a frequent f@@ker card I could use the air miles.....all joking aside I appreciate the fact that a lady is willing to show appreciation for dependable, regular, long term commitments. I have a similar arrangement now that is quite enjoyable.

I have put a ATF on my payroll in the past, and provided healthcare benefits and all that Jazz for "consulting" ... Salary $2500 month, perodic visits  and no one watched the clock. She had other dates but it was agreed she'd slow down a bit and see a doc for STD tests monthly.

It worked great for about a year and they she became greedy and wanted to tripple the pay. I ended it. We are still talk from time to time and see each other on rare occasions and she has many times told me she regretted her decision, but I've made her stick to it.

...or just time with a nice woman that knows just how to treat you the way you want?  Many go to a provider for these.  If they get comfortable with her and she with him, why not a discount or the occasional "buy X get 1 free"?

I had a volunteer position with a company for a while...my supervisor loved my work, and went up the ladder several times to make my position a paid job. Finally, the business manager said, "if he'll do it for free, why would we ever pay him?"
I suppose that if we patrons will pay full price, why would there ever be a discount offered?
I recently gave away some product at my own business, and the customer said, "you ain't gonna make no money that way..."
