Discounted rate would better than a prolonged session...

Here is my take:

I agree with the OP to have offered to cut her rate to 3 Bills instead of the advertised 6 Bills for her min 2 Hrs session, instead of offering an extra 1 hour to a previously agreed upon 2 hr (if that was the case) Never offer a freebie, i.e a N/C or a comp for the session, as that would set a terrible precedence in this field, both for the provider and the client. Freebies eventually make the provider lose the discipline required in providing a good service and potentially set a platform for the client to expect a freebie from other providers, whenever things happen not to his exacting to his satisfaction.

Let us flip this around: if a true gent would not be able to keep up with an appointment and does a NC/NS due to similar circumstances, what would one do? Offer the Lady (if she is willing to see him again):

1- Rebook the session and pay her Time x 1.5 (or more)

2- Just send her 0.5 x Time and call it a day (ever more so if she does not agree to see him again)

3- Rebook a session which is Time plus an extra Time above and over the original session?

4- Do nothing and move on

To me, 1 & 2 sound the best if the shoe was on the other foot.

:(

I am mortified that I had a horrible incident interfere with a dinner date a few weeks ago.  :(

I will spare the gorey details about why I couldn't make the engagement, but I am seeking your opinion on how to make it up to my patron.

I have offered him a certain something to make things up to him, but I'm curious as to what you as patrons would expect/wish from a lady and to you ladies...what do you do to make it up to a gent?

You are the one trying to make it up to him, what do your normal minimums have to do with it?

BTW kudos for trying to do the right thing. I can only speak for myself, but if a provider who through no real fault of her own NCNS on me, and went to the lengths of giving me a free session to make it up to me. I would probably tip her an ammount equal to whatever session she "comped" me. but that's just me. I don't believe in rewarding bad behavior, ie B&S etc, but I do believe in encouraging good behavior. Sometimes you do get rewarded for doing the right thing. If nothing else, you have the satisfaction of knowing yourself, that you did the right thing, or at least attempted to.

Good luck, with any luck we will be ready a fabulous review about how you "made it up" to him. lol

I have been the recipient of a NCNS myself, and the lady was pretty apathetic about it when I got in touch with her a few hours later. If she was the least bit apologetic about it, I was ready to happily go over. Hey, mistakes happen. If she offered me a discount, I was ready to still pay the regular rate and I would have simply appreciated the gesture. But the way she handled it assured that I would never call again.

Sorry, but spending jut an hour with a gent kinda' makes me throw up in my mouth.  LOL but seriously....  I cater to gents seeking a companion, not just a release.

As others have suggested, if you are unsure of what to offer him, let him be the judge.

Considering your trying to make it up to him I don't think a minimum should apply what so ever. Maybe offer him 2 hours for the price of one?  Everyone has things come up. The fact that your recognizing your mistake and trying to make up for it is honorable. Hopefully you followed up within a respected time and an apology.

I would do this as well: Two hours for the price of one. That way, you still make some money to cover your expenses and some of your time, and he gets a great deal. AND you don't have to throw up or whatever it was you said about dates under an hour....

more of a reason to do it..if you really want to make it up to him, he will be impressed and think you sincere

:)

...is like any other customer service issue. Since your customer varies from one individual to another, I always ask "What can I do to make you happy?" This not only acknowledges the disappointment that they are feeling, but it offers a personalized solution and shows that you are considering them as an individual.

Spoken not as a provider but as someone with 4 decades of sales and customer service -- good luck!

I disagree on this one.  I think the onus is on the provider here to make an offer, not to put the client in the uncomfortable position of trying to figure out what to ask for.  I know it's hard to be sure you're making a satisfactory offer, but I think the ball's in your court on this one.  If your minimum time is 2 hours that's no reason not to offer 90 minutes at a rate you'd charge for an hour (in other words, 90 minutes for half your two-hour rate). Or, if the gent wants a two-hour visit, charge him for 90 mins.

In the United States, many providers have elevated the act of attempting to negotiate to being an offense on a par with murder. (slight exaggeration for effect) As a result, a great many hobbyists would be extremely hesitant to do anything that even smacks of a hint of a possibility of negotiating.

Therefore, in ANY situation where an alternative to standard rates may be appropriate or for some reason desirable to the provider, the responsibility for making an alternative offer lies with the provider. It is too open ended to put the guy in a position of suggesting an alternative.

However, I met you in Vegas and I'm not surprised.

My own personal experience with this subject and the lady involved at the time was not as thoughtful or accommodating as you are attempting to be.

I had a rock solid appointment set-up with a well reviewed lady touring Vegas at the same time that I happened to be vacationing there. Open communication through email and telephone prior to my arrival had my energy and excitement levels high.

However, just hours before my arrival I called her and was sent to her voice mail. She never called me back but instead sent me an email letting me know that she couldn't meet with me because " mother nature " was paying her a visit.

Okay, life happens, but according to her she had her period for a few days at that point and I wish that she would have let me known sooner so that I could have made other arrangements being last minute.

We emailed back and forth a few times and each time we communicated I learned more and more details about this woman and the way she handles business.

Her next email explained, "provided that you can keep a secret and don't get mad", she went on to explain that because this was her first visit to Vegas she partied too excess and "forgot what day it was" and when she realized that we were suppose to meet "found it to be impossible to follow through".

ARE YOU KIDDING ME ?

Its strange because during my week in Vegas I had more than a few people, male and female, tell me how it was a lousy deal what happened. One friend of mine let me know that he had seen her a few days earlier and that she had just finished with her period. One said that she heard the lady in question was sick, one said that she heard that the lady made her expenses and decided to relax and enjoy the few days she had left in town.

Either way it sucked ! Life happens but I'm convinced that that was NOT the case here.

Weeks later I received an email from my no show lady letting me know that she was going to give my city one last tour chance before giving up altogether because according to her there are way too many tire kickers for her to deal with.

She said that she would like to see me if I am still interested, No apology, no deals just attitude.

You don't need me to tell you how to take care of your business Lynette, its your business and you'll do the right thing. I also think you know that if you take care of your clients, they will always take care of you.

Good Luck Sweetie !

Just about any effort to make amends is considerate and would be appreciated, I'd guess.  Ideas might include a discounted future engagement; more time for the money in a future engagement; being treated extra special at the next meeting.....your imagination is probably better than mine on this, plus you know the person at issue and I don't.   The fact that you care says a lot.  That alone is worth something.

Thanks everyone, for your input!

As aforementioned, I id offer the gent a "special something" to make it up to him.  That something was my regular 2 hour minimum for $300 instead of 6.  I felt like sh*t about missing our engagement but after reading your responses, I am now feeling good and confident about making it up to him.

Thanks again!!!!  XOXOXXXXO

I am sure the gentleman will be quite pleased with that scratch my suggestion below.

the price of one.  During the "make-up date", she brought her A game and we had a blast.  Unfortunately, she retired from the biz before i could see her again.

The important thing is your willingness to "make it right" for the client who was left without.

I get the no show part, but why the no call? As far as a make-up. Add a half hour w/o charge or something along those lines or an hour if you are feeling really generous. Most guys will be very grateful for that.

I didn't want to vent all of this but my girlfriend and I were drugged.

I hope it was not by a client as I know someone that I am real close to in your line of work that it happened to. I hope everything is OK.

I think your offer to your client is more than fair. I know I would appreciate it.

Because to succeed in this business and in  order to maintain a high level of reputation as the OP apparently benefits from, customer service is of paramount importance...

First off, life happens, emergencies happen.  I don't feel it's the same NC/NS if you do contact him at the earliest opportunity.  If you, say, had an auto accident...  you might not be able to call in front of others including LEOs.

I once was caught in a violent local weather event, that literally stopped traffic on the interstate.  I called her from the stopped high speed lane...  she was completely understanding & we rescheduled a great visit a few days later.

You have taken responsibility, I think you should make the offer...  I'd suggest an extra hour...   If it was to be a 2 hour dinner date, make it 3.

Since you have a 2hr minimum I would offer an additional free 45min-1hr.Or you can just break down your 2hr rate and offer a hr rate but an appointment of 2hr.I agree with some other replies a minimum at this point is moot because you are trying to correct a wrong.Or you can offer 3hr at the 2hr rate it just depends on how much time the gentleman has for some fun.Sometimes things are out of our control and things happen but offering to make it right is good customer service. If you offer to make things right the gentleman should appreciate the effort that is being made. You hear too many times that a gentleman was stood up and given no excuse or a lame one and not offered anything else.Hell,I am sure there are more than a few ladies that have been stood up as well(but that is a different topic for a different day)
Hope everything works out for you

I would say extra time or an extra appointment... I realize the later may not be warranted but I'm sure he would appreciate it and it would likely burry the hatchet.

In the past when I've cencelled last minute I have covered the full rate to make sure I satisfied my end of the bargain. I've also brouht little gifts to show my appreciation for their understanding.

The fact that you are trying to make it up to the guy says a lot about you. Being a class act is rare acting like one is even more so. Why not let the appointment come up with the way he would like to be made whole? I am sure he would ask nothing outrageous and in fact probably less that you would be willing to do. If your goal is to have a satisfied customer then let the customer set the terms. Just an old, fat, ugly fuck with an opinion.

I've had this happen to me twice. The first was a spur-of-the-moment off CL. 2 hr. ride - NCNS. Ah well - $10 of gas, and a listen to a good CD. Didn't try again - didn't get an offer. The second was with a well-reviewed lady who I really wanted to see. Got a "sorry" call the next day - went to visit a week later - was offered a discount (which I appreciated!), but declined, and had a great time. Shit happens to everybody. Offer what you feel comfortable with, or talk it out with your customer, but it's a bad idea to give away too much - don't ever undervalue your service. After all, I'll bet shit has happened to him too...

I've done it before too (totally by accident) and luckily, the gentleman was nice enough to still want to see me. I gave him a discount. I think it shows good character on your part that you own up to your mistakes. :) Don't fret too much about it, I am far from a flake, but I've done it too. We're only human. :)

Do something sexually for him that you haven't done before, don't normally do, that is especially intimate.  I for one would be incredibly appreciative of that kind of response.

If I were the gentleman in question I would be very pleased that you would be looking for a way to make it up.

Most people in our society don't acknowledge their mistakes and when they do, they rarely do anything to try and fix the mistake.

I like your solution.

LM, I'm very impressed with your mindset as a provider.  After reading your archived post (escorts & sex workers) on your website, you certainly appear to be a caring person whose number one priority is her client.   For me, there's nothing better than a gal who loves her job ............... and provides a nice treat without the "trick", if you get my drift.  Hopefully, our paths might cross one day, on one of my future trips to your fair city.

Recently went through this dance, and my experience was not so great. Provider rescheduled then NCNSed, then apologized profusely, offered extra time (2 hours for 1 1/2 hour price) and to meet me wherever/when ever I chose. The she canceled and rescheduled 3 more times, each time with apology and new excuse (call me an idiot). We never did end up seeing each other, but I will spare you any more details.

My suggestion is as follows:

1. Make an offer. Give him a couple of options, and let him choose the one that suits him best (3 hours for 2 hour rate, or 50% off 2 hours, or something like that, but give him some options).
2. Be flexible. Ask him when and where he would like to meet. Offer to go to him or a location of his choice so you make it easy.
3. Make the meeting as soon as you can - the longer it is delayed, the less likely you will ever meet and the more likely he will tell others.

From a hobbyist point of view, my experience has taught me two things: reinforced my opinion that anyone who freely offers a discount is likely to be a problem (this lady had originally offered me a special discount to get me to schedule something); and anyone who is really good at apologizing has been practicing too much.

Yeah, I understand no one is perfect and shit happens. In fact, I sort of had a NCNS of my own a couple of weeks ago. Emailed to set something up in the next 24 hours with a couple of suggested times. Then called to follow up. Was told the lady was not working today as there was a problem at her incall location, and that I should call back tomorrow to see what was up. I went ahead and made other arrangements. One half hour after the time I had suggested the next day, I checked my email and text and saw the lady had been sending me messages for the last two hours to confirm the meeting I did not think we had. I immediately sent an apology. We did end up meeting a week or so later, so it ended fine, but I felt bad even though someone telling me they were not sure whether she would be working tomorrow made me feel that we did not have a date. Guess I should have said that in email or on the phone just to be clear.

Anyway, in response to my apology she said not to worry. But maybe that is also why she was not ready, made me wait 15 minutes, when i showed up for our confirmed date (very confirmed in 4 or 5 emails).

All is well that ends well.

I also had to cancel the morning of a meeting a few weeks back and I offered to pay her and she declined. We also met a few days later. I assume that happens all the time.

Anyway, if you are going to make it up, do it ASAP. And I think you should let him spank you for being a naughty girl.
