The reason I posted publicly was to warn not just Rudy but others.  There are many new posters on this board who might not have gotten the message.

and others who don't get the "outing" rules here.
1) You can't out the identity of anyone on this site, provider or client.
2) Even though you did not mention the provider's name in the message itself, you did include a link to an article which had her name in it.  Same thing.  What's not to get?  I feel sorry for the person in question.  Her life will never be the same.  Why make it worse?  Some rules are here for a reason.

The rules are here for a reason. This is one reason we used to have moderators! More and more of these kinds of posts slip through now, until someone reports the post. The same news story link is popping up all over the discussion boards! And some by veteran TER posters!

If we don't put it in our site and in our ads, it shouldn't be discussed. Just think of a seemingly innocuous detail about yourself - or a group of details - like that you play golf, have a boat, and hate chocolate - so harmless and unidentifying in themselves, yet so very telling to a friend, family member, or SO, who might happen upon those words. Men should be more careful about the details they share through reviews and via PM.

Sometimes I just cannot believe that those little things I felt safe telling a nice client - for example, that I am from XXX area and that I am a XXX enthusiast - made it into my reviews. I can't believe sometimes how much new clients already know about me from PM's.

THINK before you click submit, "How would I feel if this were shared about me on TER? Is this tiny fact really necessary to publicize?" Also, what you share through PM's - treat it as if it were published on the boards, because it seems to become public knowledge.

The men who do this would go NUTS if I wrote on the boards, for example: "Well, this one client who is really high up in Goldman and has a house in Greenwich Conn. invited me to go on his Catalina sailboat." (Disclaimer: completely fake).

This is so far down the pages that people might not see it but I'll post it anyway.  My original post was removed by the mods, so it's gone now.

I didn't think it was outing anyone since I found out about it through the public posting news items on AOL Mail.  The story and her identity was already national news.  The most recent figure I could find today put the number of unique users for AOL at over 215 million in May, 2012.  

But I understand that my linking the news story further spread her identity, and I regret being part of that problem.  I should have simply referred to the issue without providing a link, which would have enabled discussion.  That was done by someone else complaining about any woman who would provide part-time without needing the income.  I read that entire thread with interest.

I do empathize with the woman and think the guy who outed her to the original "news" outlet is a rat bastard.  The "news" outlet posted links to her escort pictures.  She is way hot.  

I am not currently a paid member, so I will not see any PM's directed my way unless and until I re-up.

Again, I apologize for contributing to the spread of her identity.
