Dim light, yes...

most gals seem to like that as do I.   Once your eyes are acclimated to it, it is not inconvenient and also kind of romantic.

I've never yet met a gal who insisted on total darkness (Which, if it is day, is pretty hard to accomplish.)  Even at night, when I have been with a gal, they want some light on in the room, though I prefer total darkness myself in terms of getting good shut-eye.

Yes, I know, it's a little too early for halloween, but I'm not talking about slutty vampire costumes (at least not yet anyway). I'm talking about providers who insist on keeping the lights off during the encounter. So far, I've had 2 providers who indicated to me that they'd rather go dark. The first one said that she didn't want anyone filming her (although in her case, I think she was really just trying to cover up her telltale signs of ageing and weight gain). I didn't bother asking the second one why, although I'm pretty sure her reasons are more or less the same. Thing of it is that both these encounters took place this year. I don't remember it being a thing last year, or maybe it's just my luck that I wouldn't come across any vampires until now. But what these providers fail to understand is that men are visually receptive creatures, we like to watch. So it really doesn't help matters when you want to kill the lights. Why do you think the porn industry predominantly targets a male audience? So, gents, have you encountered any vampires while doing this hobby, and what are some of the reasons they give as to why it's lights out? And providers, are you a vampire, and if so, why do you say it's lights out?

One of my regs  could be. First time with her I`m walking across hotel parking lot on a brilliant sunny day and my transition lenses quickly go very dark. I enter her room and it`s almost pitch black except for a semi covered dim night table lamp way across the room.
Can`t find this little spinner hiding behind the door for what seemed to be a long time. I`m looking for a place to hang  my sport coat and and a spot for the donation and proceed to trip over the coffee table and bump my head on the TV.
"WTF is going on with this dark routine?" I ask ? She replies that she thinks it`s sexy. Sexy? How about dangerous!

Now I`m starting to get real annoyed and I point to the mini blinds covering the windows that have VERY  thin sun rays peeking through the tiny slits. "If I open these blinds and a ray or two of sun hits you will you instantly ignite, incinerate and burn to death because you're a vampire?" I ask. She howls (no pun) over my sarcasm then we proceed to have a most delightful session.
Coincidentally, I saw her again yesterday and we both had a good laugh remembering this.

Lastly:

Without question thee most scary, gory, evil, bloody, nasty vamp movie of all time has got to be "Near Dark" from 1987. This is one  bad ass mo*&^fker of a horror movie, trust me.
Watch this only on a sunny day, with your blinds open, a cross, a clove of garlic and a wooden stake. You`ll need them lol.

That men are visual, and they are more than happy to provide some dim light.a

I usually have the bathroom light on, with the door at least partially open, plus one or two scarf-covered lamps.   I personally like it, and yes, I think we ALL look better in less-than-glaring sunlight.  ;-)

If someone were to ask for a little more light to be shed on the subject matter, that would be fine with me.  But I can't recall that happening anytime recently.

I DO, however, occasionally get visitiors who WANT to be plunged into total darkness!
A few months back, one such gentleman then wound up walking on, and tripping over, my stiletto heels (which I'd slipped off and left on the floor at the foot of the bed) badly enough that the heel cut the bottom of his foot.  Yup, those things are WEAPONS.

Good thing I had a First Aid kit with me to bandage him up.... it would have been entertaining to me if he'd put that part of the encounter in his review, but alas, he omitted this detail.  LOL.

...I turn the lights off for ugly women.   I tell you no lie!!!

I've never considered that the girl might not like what she sees.  Not sure what you look like ElTorro, but you can offer to blindfold them and see if that helps.

I know most of us guys think that the women who dim the lights are doing so to cover their own flaws, but those guys like El mierda de toro, who have this happen on a regular basis might consider buying a mirror. lmao

I have to say though, that it's an excellent strategy for the Butterface's out there to employ, but for the OTHFB's, it's just a waste of time. You can dim the lights on ugly, but you can't conceal FAT, no matter how dark it is.

Dang, I thought it was just some weird fetish that had gotten fashionable ...

who turned the lights completely off.  I don't mind dim light.  As others say, its kind of romantic.  However, I have come to realize its most often an attempt to disguise their true age.  If the ad says she's 25, but she's really 38, dimming the lights from 60watts to 30 will keep the illusion alive for most of us.

Personally, I always ask do he prefer the lights on or off & shades open or close. It really sets the ambiance for the time being.

Not to mention bruises and stretch marks if you're dumpster diving for P4P.

...I told her so and then she said, Oh come on close the car door!
