OR do providers just don't care about giving a reference? I had two clients this week who sent me references with name/ email/ and number and I inquire their relationship with the client and nothing. I met with the gentlemen anyway and thankfully it was a smooth appointment. My client says, " The girls like to keep me to themselves," Why hog clients? Why not share the wealth?

or incorrect contact information. Maybe the providers didn't get your messages or somehow screwed up getting back to you. I don't know.

That guy's "girls like to keep me to themselves" sounds like B.S., in any case. Though it does happen.

check to make sure they provided the correct contact info for their references?
It could be a number of things maybe they are not reference friendly, are on vacation/not answering emails, etc.
Did you include who you were in your email to the references? Not saying you didn't but I have had providers reach out to me for a reference with no links to ads, website or anything. If I am busy I am not searching the internet to make sure she is a legit provider. If I have some time I will but I really wish ladies would include their info when asking for a reference.
On occasion I ask for references and give references but having alternate ways to verify is always best.
Unfortunately there are some ladies who will not provide a reference due to thinking you are stealing a client.
References are a courtesy not a requirement.

but in any case, it may have to do with being fairly new at this.   There could be a concern for sharing info with someone who has only been in this for a year.

From what I've heard, most gals are pretty friendly about giving references.

Wanted to see an elite provider this week and my references did not respond.  Due to other events, the appointment shifted to next month so allows more time or utilize other references.  Not sure why my references did not respond.

From my experiences, the majority are. However there are several women that refuse to do so or charge both the provider and the client for even giving one. A few of the posters on this board actually.

I know how some women are and I most certainly send my guy a copy of what I sent another provider for a reference. I have had a few try to lie so that they could make me look bad. I have a complete right to that as he gave me as a reference to begin with. Even the one time a guy gave me as a reference and he was a shit head, I even sent him a copy ha ha.

I have spent much time giving references and even screening for a girl who came to Milwaukee. If you are around long enough, not much surprises in the cities you are in. I am pretty well at that point in three cities where I already have a good grasp of who to see and not. If I don't know personally, I screen fully.

I do keep notes on who answers screening requests and who doesn't. One gal in Chicago is pretty vocal on not doing references at all. I have no respect for her that she is so desperate to keep her guys and cares little on the safety of another. I have never once not answered a request!!!

An idea... I personally like when a gentleman gives me a heads up first before I share information that I have spent time with him.
For one, I can look out for her email or phone call and feel comfortable sharing ..
As well, wives are very savvy...even had one call me once pretending to be a provider requesting a reference.

who they are - never heard of them....etc
Some random text asking 'have you seen 'mr John' doesn't make me feel safe for my client!
A quick email or text from the fellow saying he has given me as a reference is appreciated.

There are also times that I am off the grid- so to speak- and may not see the message for 24 hours. Good reason to plan ahead on things like this, I guess, if you can. :)
