.. a drug that treats the colon as well as the prostrate? I am no doctor, but that would have been the red flag for me.
It is scary to think that even if 95 percent of the people get their money back on these scams, the other 5 percent makes these companies tons of money.
Sort of like junk e-mail. Send out 10,000 e-mails, get 15 responses, PURE PROFIT. That is why I believe that each e-mail you send should cost 1 tenth of a penny.
You may have heard radio spots about Rovicid--male supplement to enhance just about everything south of your belt. Don't have any comments about whether it works or not, but if you order the "free sample" here's what happens: You get the free sample, after you provide a credit card for "postage and handling"--about $5.00. Then you start getting more shipments every 3 weeks, at the tune of $66.00 per pop on your credit card. When you call to complain, they say you are locked in to a year contract--that's $1,143 dollars for $30.00 worth of stuff available at any health food store!! It's pure scam--since they mail it to you, report it as mail fraud to the postal service (forms available at the USPS website).
FYI - contract or not, you can call your credit card company and dispute the charges. That will stop them from getting any more of your money and you might even be able to recover all of it.
A scam indeed...but then, are you gullible enough to believe that Rovicid or the like actually work? Drug companies now are behaving like pushers, advertising on television to tell us to ask our doctors for these drugs..if we ask our doctors to give us a drug, our doctors can be pushers too!...then there are the mail order on line connections...and the guy on the corner who will take you into the back of the grocery store....see a doctor, get real advice and don't get scammed by people trying to make money off of our need for sex and sensual pleasure---leave that up to the providers who at least offer something no drug can duplicate and only love can beat. And from what your credit card got charged, providers are a real deal!!!!!
