Not surprising, but where did that number come from?

When you consider that the porn industry was making a profit on the internet long before Amazon.com or many of the other more legitimate enterprises were.
Fact is, the porn industry is very much responsible for the advances in streaming video, increased band width and speed that we all enjoy today. The technology for these improvements was largely driven by adult companies with the need to deliver a quality product via the web.

The number comes from some research I have been doing on the on-line payment industry. You, know PayPal et al...
