I haven't seen too many updates on this question recently.  I've always paid for VIP using a prepaid Vanilla Visa.  A while back, ccBill stopped accepting them.  I used the "Pay by Cash" option one time after that - boy was that uncomfortable.  I handed the teller the deposit slip and the $$ and she kept me there with one excuse after another for what seemed like an eternity.  I was sure LE would be coming through the door any moment!  Fortunately, they completed the transaction.

I've heard some rumors that Vanilla Visa is working again, but then other reports that it doesn't.  Does anyone have recent experience to share?  Any other suggestions for anonymous/cash VIP renewal?

My bank (BOA) once would not let the payment go through, so I called their security department and explained that the transaction was a legitimate one, and then they let it go through.  Now, just before I last renewed, I called them again and told them I was paying a bill through ccBill, and it went through no sweat.

agree..i always use my credit card and prefer the 90 day quarterly option if i am short on VIP days..always is approved..no muss..no fuss..

My bank card got stalled due to 'possible fraudulent activity'. I had to go into the bank to find out what the hell was going on, LOL.

Went in all nervous, but asked what the hell was going on. I couldn't use my money for God's sake!

She pulled up my account and started saying, "Let's see... it's pulling u.. WOW! YOU'VE BEEN BUSY! Nordsrom, return from Nordstrom, salons, hotels, blah blah blah..." LOL. I was like, "Yeah, I'm a girl. I need to stop." Brushed it off like it was nothing.

Ended up being an address thing, but it scared the hell out of me, LOL. That's when I started being careful about cash deposits, hahaha.

I often wonder what somebody thinks of my statement looking at the weekly cash withdrawl. LOL

...was what I told the lady at the bank the couple of times I did the Pay by Cash thing.  One was very puzzled by it, the other didn't bat an eye.  Regardlesss I did my business at a bank I dodn't have an account in and not near my home or office.

It was a year VIP, so was some odd amount like $267.35.  The teller took the note to the back room, came back and looked me over, then started counting the change slooowly, "lost count" and had to start over, ran out of nickels, lost count again...  It was very apparent to me that I was being stalled so someone in the back could get instructions from upstairs.

You never know - the deposit account could have been used for something (highly) illegal - the last thing I'd want to do is say that I'm depositing to a friend's account!  What you say can and will be used...

So - anyone know if Vanilla is working again?  BTW - I' can't PM since I'm currently not VIP.

Just tried to use a registered Vanilla Visa card using both the CCBill and Segpay processors.  Neither one worked.  

You would think that getting paid would be one of the site's higher priorities, and this is the easiest way to do so anonymously.  Or am I wrong about that?
